PostSubject: Veronica Corvis    Veronica Corvis EmptyWed Dec 12, 2012 3:53 am

Have you see the OVA or read the manga series of Hellsing? If so how far have you gotten? If not please direct your attention to YouTube, and watch OVA 1-4 at least. Warning: If you have watched the anime we require you watch the OVA, or read the manga. The anime is not canon. This is not our opinion. This is the law set down by the creator of Hellsing, Kouta Hirano. Yup, yup, and yup.

Name: Sister Veronica Corvis

Name Meanings:
Veronica: A cloth supposedly impressed with an image of Jesus' face.
Corvis: A small quadrilateral constellation in the southern hemisphere near Virgo. It can also refer to a Crow.

Nickname: Iron Maiden

Age: 32

Gender: Female

Physical appearance: Veronica stands at approximately 5'11” weighing in at 145 pounds. Her medium length grey hair is kept in a straight braid that comes down to the middle of her back, which is hidden by her veil, though a small bit is twisted into a braid that hangs down the right side of her face, decorated with a cross pendant attached to the end. Despite her age, she looks to be in her mid-twenties, having a fair complexion along with amber colored eyes. There isn't really much to Veronica aside from that and a slightly curvy, well taken care of physique at the peak of physical health, covered in nothing more than soft skin and toned muscle.

Clothing of choice: Veronica dresses like any other Catholic Nun, with slight modifications to the Habit outfit to better suit her duties. The otherwise ordinary black long sleeved dress that reaches down to her ankles has been modified so that there's are long slits up each side to reduce leg restriction while in battle, but they are held closed by small straps until she actually enters combat, to cover up her legs while the straps are open she wears black and white, thigh length stockings. A large white collar and a veil, with a vertical Ampoule as a necklace and gold earrings in the shape of crosses. On her feet she wears a pair of black boots that have a cross pattern sewn into them. She also carries a satchel on the back of her waist containing her gear.

Spoiler:

Weaponry of choice: Veronica's weapon of choice, if it can actually be called a "weapon", is her faith within the scriptures, along with her four Bibles; each with their covers reinforced with Kevlar to make them somewhat bullet resistant, though the actual "weapon" that she uses are the pages inside and a vast array of nails which she uses to pin them to objects or beings. Her four bibles are kept on the back of her waist in a special satchel.

Along with her bibles, Veronica also carries two dozen blessed crucifixion spikes, six strapped to each of her thighs and six in each of her sleeves, each ranging from 5 (in her sleeves) to 7 (on her thighs) inches in length which she can call forth the same way her nails can when her bible pages are in use, which can propelled forward the same way, but with enough force to embed themselves into concrete, fully capable of pinning a person to a structure.

Also carried inside the satchel in special pockets are several ampoules filled with holy water, which can be thrown or broken by hand in order to utilize during battle, a favored method of hers, if caught in some kind of hold, is to break them by hand and wet her own skin to burn vampires upon touching them, causing the standard pain and burning to the unholy receiving party.

Also in the satchel, taking up the small slots that were too small for the ampoules, are several vertical ampoules (minus the chain and ring) which can be opened, containing small amounts of silver shavings inside, while not a lethal dose (to most undead, works better on lycans) it has enough inside to at least, if inhaled, stun an attacking vampire that manages to get to close for comfort (like in some form of hold), the one around her neck also has silver shavings inside for easier access.

Race: Human

Abilities: Aside from the physical training she was put through in Iscariot that resulted in her having the speed, agility and stamina of an Olympic track runner, and decent hand-to-hand combat skills in Aikido, Veronica's only other ability revolves completely around her scriptures. Being an expert in anti-vampire exorcism techniques, She has the ability to control the scripture pages and nail them to surfaces in order to erect holy barriers and even use them to teleport not only herself, but others along with her to specific locations at will due to the vast amount of pages she uses. Also due to the sheer number of pages from each of her four bibles (which she often uses all at once, but can be used separately), she can literally create a "Sea of Pages" to block an enemy's sight and disorient them, allowing her or a comrade to attack from behind their golden veil. In addition to this she is capable of controlling the pages to a much more refined and acute degree than most others within Iscariot, using them directly as a weapon. She can control the mass number of sheets to do multiple things at once, such as obscuring one persons vision while manipulating another portion of the massive sea of pages to constrict another enemy nearby, even using them to conceal her crucifixion spikes as they get propelled toward a target, and all of the above, making her very skilled at multitasking (in combat). She can take on multiple people at once by outnumbering them, like a "One woman army", using the sheets of scripture like a swarm of locust.

She can even use the thousands of sheets of scripture to restrain opponents by wrapping around their limbs, clutching onto a person with enough force to cause bruising, her favored method is to just blanket their entire body in the golden pages similar to a mummy, thus restricting their entire body movements and, if on a vampiric body, focus the barrier directly on their skin to cause burns and immense pain, she can even asphyxiate someone with the sheets if she chooses to. The Gospel pages can even act as make-shift bandages to cover wounds and help stop profuse bleeding (this isn't healing, this is strictly the sheet(s) acting like a bandage). While she uses normal nails to pin her scriptures to objects to keep them in place, much like Father Anderson, one of her more favored methods is "mummifying" her opponent and then literally have the nails pin the scriptures onto the individual, while this can be done with normal nails, she prefers to use her crucifixion spikes in order to do much more damage, she often refers to this method as "The Holy Iron Maiden" due to its resemblance to the torture device that holds the same name, and has even gained her nickname due to the use of this method. On top of the holy scriptures having the ability to place blessings, the crucifixion spikes are also blessed and have been soaked in holy water for added effects, its obviously a nightmare for any Human, let alone any vampire that's caught within its blessed clutches.

Organization: Vatican, Section XIII Iscariot.

Personality: Veronica, having been raised within the confines of Father Anderson's orphanage, expresses a great deal of loyalty to Iscariot and the Church, and shows an unwavering belief in her faith. She, however, unlike most members, doesn't fully allow herself to be lead by blind biblical loyalty and has her own understanding and acceptance of what the scriptures mean. She has her own set of morals, her own guidelines that she follows above all else. She doesn't fully believe that all "Non-Catholics" are evil, and that almost everyone (excluding the undead/supernatural) has the ability to do good things, thus she dislikes harming ordinary humans; but she understands that under some circumstances (they trying to kill her, for example) it must be done, and will not hesitate to do so under those conditions.

Moving out of her personal beliefs, Veronica, while not doing her work as a member of Iscariot, can be seen as a kind, caring, and somewhat sarcastic woman, shown through her warm and familiar way of interacting with other members of Iscariot and everyone at the compound. She's often seen working around the orphanage and helping take care of the children with the other Nun's; to which she's developed a sort of motherly attachment to, which is something she isn't even fully aware of. She doesn't anger easily, but there are exceptions to this. At the orphanage with the children, she gets angry quite easily, mostly portrayed in a comical outburst over little things, such as maybe a prank, which usually ends in a playful game of tag with which ever child triggered the outburst, giving her a similar appearance of a child herself. Though she, like everyone, has a boiling point, and God save anyone who manages to push her past her limit (never happens with the children, and rarely happens on missions), for her enemies it could only be displayed as a Heaven-brought furry revealing itself in a violent torrent of crucifixion spikes and bible scripture, which will most likely only end in pain and suffering of whoever is on the receiving end.

However, on her missions as an agent, she displays a more professional, albeit merciless and slightly sadistic, attitude. A stoic and calm demeanor replaces the kind expressions that those of the orphanage are used to, though not above exchanging insults with her enemy. She takes the extermination of vampires and other undead very seriously, often referring to them as "Disgusting" or "Revolting", she's not one to allow any to escape if its within her ability to stop, or show mercy or pity to the unholy things regardless of their pleas. She tends to take a slight bit of satisfaction as she 'spikes', or literally crucifies her enemies to nearby structures, though this feeling of satisfaction is purely related to the erasing of yet another unholy beast that plagues the earth, she still allows herself to don a slight grin while doing so.

Rank: Paladin.

Biography:

Veronica was born in Termini, Italy, to a mother barely out of her teens, having been one for the nightlife and all the pleasures that came with it, she got an unexpected surprise when Veronica was born, of course, to an unknown father. From day one, getting by was tough, having lost her ability to slip her way into midnight parties and other men's beds with an infant Veronica in her care, her mother had to find another way to get by, even though she'd not worked an honest days work in her entire life. She was the type who thought she was suppose to be taken care of, not the other way around. The two were always on the streets after this, scavenging what they could from wherever they could until Her mother, being the bitch she was, wanted things to go back to the way they were and developed a deep loathing for her daughter and what she made her life turn into and decided that, when Veronica was two years of age, that she was fed up with caring for 'it' and decided the easiest thing to do would be to leave the young child at one of the nearby orphanages.

The orphanage just so happened to be run by Father Alexander Anderson and his Clerical staff, a child being randomly left there wasn't all that unusual, so She was taken in and and cared for, raised along with the other children and while growing up, she, like everyone within the care of the Orphanage, was raised with Catholic teachings. She held a very firm belief in the teachings of the Bible, so much that she kept four copies of them in her possession, and still does, though she now see's their teachings more as rightful guidelines than actual rules that must be followed, nonetheless she enjoyed it's teachings growing up. Eventually being introduced into the Iscariot ranks at the age of 17, she was taught to believe that all beings Undead are inherently evil, and thus, along with her physical training in self defense, began to utilize her belief in the scripture as a weapon. She quickly became an expert in anti-vampire exorcism techniques, utilizing holy water, crosses, silver, and even the very pages within her own Bibles.

Her utilization of scripture as a weapon and extensive training in anti-vampire techniques was soon recognized, resulting in her first real mission at the age of 19, which ended with Veronica killing her first vampire and the first time she'd witnessed the death of another human, nonetheless, Veronica coped rather well, referring to her holy books for a bit of guidance, she soon began to realize that, while the Iscariots acted as Gods intermediaries, they had to break a few of the rules within their holy book to do so and as such, developed her own understanding of it; similar to how a few of the other members of Iscariot have done. The rest of her time within Iscariot is spent like any other, she used the time to hone her skills, hunt down abominations and even took up a position to help out at the orphanage when not doing her Iscariot work.

I like this girl quite a bit. My one concern is that the pages may create a potential for godmod in certain scenarios. That is to say you've got a weapon that can attack omnidirectionally and leave the opponent with no potential to fight back. That being said, even a gun has the potential for godmodding so I'm willing to allow you a bit of leeway based on your past performance.

Agreeing with Anderson, but I'm not letting it pass; three seconds fights aren't fair to other people. Page weapons are a cool idea, but tone it down. Either make them so it's possible for a person or low level supernatural creature to be able to escape or lessen how many are used at once.

Physical appearance: Veronica has the appearance of a slender and very youthful woman, standing at approximately 5'11” and weighing in at 145 pounds. Her body, while slender and fit, is far from weak. An athletic build supports her, built to be nimble and light on her feet, her body is at the peak of physical health. Her grey hair is kept in a straight braid, reaching down to the center of her back, though most of it remains hidden by her veil. A small bit is twisted into a smaller braid that hangs down the right side of her face; next to amber-colored eyes, decorated with a cross pendant attached to the end.

Despite her age, she looks to be in her mid-twenties, a result of having aged well despite her line of work and the stress involved, and her complexion is fair. There isn't really much to Veronica aside from that and a slightly curvy, well taken care of physique at the peak of physical health, covered in nothing more than soft skin and toned muscle as a result of Iscariots training.

Clothing of choice: Veronica dresses like any other Catholic Nun, with slight modifications to the outfit to better suit her duties. The otherwise ordinary black long sleeved dress that reaches down to her ankles has been modified so that there's are long slits up each side to reduce leg restriction while in battle. However, they are held closed by small straps to cover her legs until she actually enters a combat situation. She wears black and white, thigh length stockings to cover her legs when they are let open, which lead down into a pair of heavy duty boots, black in coloration with a cross-pattern sewn into the front. A large white collar decorated with a cross covers her neck, with a vertical Ampoule hanging as a necklace and a veil to cover most of her hair and head, though her face isn't hidden or obscured in anyway. These along with gold earrings in the shape of crosses make up her attire. The back of her waist is the resting place of two satchels, filled with her equipment.

Spoiler:

Weaponry of choice:
Veronica's weapon of choice, if it can actually be called a "weapon", is her faith within the scriptures, along with her four Bibles. Each of the Holy Books have their covers (front and back) reinforced with Kevlar to make them somewhat bullet resistant, though the actual "weapon" that she uses are the pages inside and a vast array of nails which she uses to pin them to objects or beings.

She also carries a multitude of blessed crucifixion spikes, soaked in holy water with silver lacing the edges. Twelve are placed in a second satchel next to the one on the back of her waist, while six strapped to each of her thighs and six more are strapped to each of her forearms, each ranging from 5 (in her sleeves) to 7 (on her thighs and in her satchel) inches in length, which she can call forth the same way her nails are summoned when her bible pages are in use, allowing easy use in battle despite their placement.

Also carried inside the satchel with her bible, in special pockets, are several ampoules filled with holy water, which can be thrown or broken by hand in order to utilize during battle, a favored method of hers, if caught in some kind of hold, is to break them by hand and wet her own skin to burn vampires upon touching them, causing the standard pain and burning to the unholy receiving party.

Taking up the small slots that were too small for the ampoules are also several vertical ampoules (minus the chain and ring) which can be opened, containing small amounts of silver shavings inside, which have been blessed. While probably not a lethal dose (to most high-ranking undead, it works better on lycans) it has enough inside to, if inhaled, stun an attacking vampire that manages to get too close for comfort (like in some form of hold), and cause lasting effects due to the light blessings placed upon them once inside the body, resulting in internal pains. The one around her neck also has silver shavings inside for easier access.

Race: Human

Abilities:
Sister Corvis has the physical training she was put through in Iscariot, which resulted in her having the speed, agility and stamina of an Olympic track runner, on top of being shown to be quite nimble and well balanced, to almost supernatural levels. On numerous occasions has she been seen pulling off incredible acrobatic flips, cartwheels, slides, wall runs, and more - even on fast moving surfaces and in places where footing is severely hampered or thin (top of a moving train, ledge of a building, for example) making her an extremely hard target to pinpoint. The result of her Iscariot training haven't only made her an incredible athlete, but also a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, granting her incredible skill placed in the art of Aikido; focusing solely on redirecting an opponents force against them to take control of the situation instead of confronting it directly; she finds it the most effective means against beings physically stronger than her, such as the supernatural prey she hunts.  She's even gained the ability to "sense" vampiric beings, this isn't to say she can pinpoint their exact location, but she can tell when they are in the area.

The Nuns' only other ability revolves completely around her faith in the scriptures, having the ability to control the gospel pages and nail them to surfaces in order to erect holy barriers, and even use them to teleport not only herself, but also others along with her to specific locations. This is due to the sheer number of pages at her command, as unlike most Iscariot who only rely on a single bible, Veronica's talent with them far exceeds that of normal; allowing her to use the pages of a maximum of four bibles at once. Such a vast amount can literally create a "Sea of Pages" and act very similar to a swarm of locusts' at her command. In addition to this; she is capable of controlling the pages to a much more refined and acute degree than most others within Iscariot, allowing her to use them directly as a weapon. Such uses include the ability to restrain opponents by latching onto their body, clutching on with enough force to cause injuries ranging from bruising to fracturing and even the snapping of bone, depending on Veronica's choice of torture (though, certain vampires may be able to muscle through the paper prison if they can deal with the pain of the blessings). Along with these massive page numbers and her innate talent with them, she's grown extremely skilled in the art of multitasking, splitting the swarm of pages into numerous groups and controlling them simultaneously; such as obscuring one enemies vision, disorienting another, while manipulating another portion to constrict an enemy nearby, even using them to conceal her crucifixion spikes as they get propelled toward a target.

However, due to her recent experience with the No Life King himself and seeing how futile her barriers actually were, she's learned to 'stack' the barriers onto one another by using a certain amount of pages to each create numerous barriers at once, forcing whatever entity she's trapping to exert more effort to escape; allowing the restriction and suppression of vampires higher on the food chain. This is done by either focusing them all to a single point or by layering them to create numerous walls to obstruct a path of escape. The Gospel pages can even act as make-shift bandages to cover wounds and help stop profuse bleeding by applying their pressured grip to the injury (this isn't healing, this is strictly the sheet(s) acting like a bandage until proper medical attention is received). Normally applied to near-by surfaces, she uses blessed nails to pin her scriptures down so as to keep them in place, much like Father Anderson, however; she's put a slightly sadistic twist on this method in that one of her more favored ways to use them is by "mummifying" her opponent, focus the barrier directly on the skin of the unholy party to cause intense burns and immense pain, and then literally have the nails pin the scriptures onto the individual; she can even asphyxiate someone with the sheets if she chooses to. Normally done with her blessed nails, she prefers to use her crucifixion spikes which she and others have often referred to the method as "The Holy Iron Maiden" due to its resemblance to the torture device that holds the same name, and has even gained her, her current nickname.

Veronica's use of her stakes, aside from being combine with the use of her bible pages, are also that of a professional, even supernatural in comparison. Able to bring them forth from her sleeves and robes with a mere flick of her wrist or a wave of the hand (this only applies to the ones attached to her arms and thighs, though this can be more-so compared to sleight of hand than anything else. The ones in her satchel have to be removed normally), which can then be thrown by her or propelled forward with her pages with pin-point accuracy and with enough speed and force to embed themselves and their entirety into concrete and even tag vampires with then; allowing her to accomplish such feats as crucifying the opposition which she faces.

Due to her time working at the orphanage to help with the children, she is a decent cook and maid; and she also holds some talent in origami. She also has knowledge on numerous relics due to her time in the Churches Secret Histories.

Deos Coetui Angelorum - Latin for Gods Company of Angels

Through her years of experience with blessings, manipulation of the gospel by faith, and an otherwise vast array of exorcism techniques, Corvis has taken such weapons to the next level. A new way to fight against the undead with all her might packed behind it, Deos Coetui Angelorum is an anti-vampire exorcism technique that Veronica can utilize via her bible pages. The Nun's capability of focusing the barriers the pages create onto flesh do not only apply to the unholy enemies in which they capture, but they can also be applied to herself; which is what makes this technique possible. Throwing herself into a full sprint toward whatever target is unlucky enough to face her wrath, the pages will collect around her in a swarming mass of golden fury, much like an escort of angels, and literally carry and propel her toward the target.

The blessings and barriers the pages can manifest are, at the same time, focused on and layered around her own body; which results in a transparent orb-like figure being distinguishable among the pages surrounding her. This layered defense of protection repels unholy bodies and influences away from her, utterly rejecting them to the fullest extent. Unholy bodies that come into contact with this orb are forced back as if a bullet ricocheting off of a wall; generating bone shattering force while at the same time being maimed by the intense burning on contact. The burning of which is so concentrated by the layered blessings that skin is easily burned away.

(Note: It lasts for one post, requires a five post cool-down before it can be used again.

The speed in which she is propelled toward the target can be rated at .F stats, for forum reference.)

Organization: Vatican, Section XIII Iscariot.

Personality: Veronica, having been raised within the confines of Father Anderson's orphanage, expresses a great deal of loyalty to Iscariot and the Church, and shows an unwavering belief in her faith. She, however, unlike most members, doesn't fully allow herself to be lead by blind biblical loyalty and has her own understanding and acceptance of what the scriptures mean and teach. She has her own set of morals and guidelines that she follows above all else, all of which diverge from her understanding of the scripture, which she now see's as more of rightful guidelines than actual rules that must be followed. This isn't to say she wouldn't die for her beliefs like many of her brothers and sisters, she most certainly would, but she's not above questioning the acts and methods of other Iscariot's if she feels they go against a certain aspect of the very thing they were taught, even if they are above her in the status quo.

Moving out of her personal beliefs, Veronica is a soft-spoken, polite, and caring woman who is commonly portrayed as a mother-like figure that augments her appearance, yet with a noticeable sarcastic and joking side which is shown through her warm and familiar way of interacting with other members of Iscariot. Her face, often graced with a genuine and upbeat smile, is noticeably seen around the orphanage with the children, to which she's developed a motherly attachment to, though she's also one to use tough love when the need arises. These moments of 'tough love' are often displayed in what has been aptly named by the children at the orphanage as "Veronica's Chop," where she uses a bible to thump a child on the head with the spine when they do something they're not supposed to, though it's far from anything brutal; it is hard enough to get the message across.

However, under this kind exterior is a woman who isn't easily intimidated. Corvis, with all of her grace and kind manners, has no objection in telling someone where they are in the pecking order, especially if they feel the need to be disrespectful. These words, despite being spoken in respectful and genuine way, often drip with the venom and harshness of the meaning they carry. A demonstration of this was seen during a previous escort mission to London with a negotiator, where she - upon arriving at the airport - quickly let him know where he stood in the food chain of the group, all while keeping her smile. Even using a bible quote to rub in the truth of the matter much to the mans disliking.

Though, despite her reserved and otherwise "adult" attitude, her temper varies. Its extremely hard to do, but getting the woman angry isn't high on anyone's list, and for good reason. When around the children she is prone to small outbursts of anger that are mostly portrayed in a comical rages over little things, which usually ends in a playful game of tag with which ever child triggered the outburst, or simply Veronica-Chopping the child in question, the latter being for more serious situations; but it's vastly different for her enemies. God and his Angels would be about the only ones capable of saving any poor sob who managed to legitimately anger her, nd even that would be feat in its own right. Pushing the Nun passed her limit can only be described as a Heaven-brought fury revealing itself in a violent torrent of crucifixion spikes and bible scripture, which will most likely only end in pain and suffering of whoever is on the receiving end.

During her missions as an agent she displays a more professional, and slightly sadistic attitude. A stoic, level-headed, observant and calm demeanor replaces the familiar expressions that those of the orphanage are used to. Taking the extermination of vampires and other enemies of the Church very seriously, she'd be the last one anyone would beg for mercy to. A nun who makes it a point to crucify and show people the pain Christ went through is someone to avoid, especially since she tends to take a slight satisfaction in doing so, and using her more popular "Iron Maiden" method to inflict unnecessary pain on a target confirms this. She's even gone so far as to dive into maniac rantings of bible verses and even made-up quotes of her very own while turning the enemy into a pincushion depending on how much her emotions are stirred during the conflict. However, this 'satisfaction' can only be related to the fact that she's cleaning the world of unholy filth, nothing more. She holds no sympathy for the undead, or humans who willingly side with them or against the church.

Biography:

Veronica was born in Termini, Italy, to a mother barely out of her teens. Raised and pampered for nearly all of her life as the daughter of a fairly wealthy business man, Adriana was always one to be spoiled and given what she asked for without question. Getting what she wanted and when she wanted, whenever she asked lead her develop an outlook on life that she was supposed to be treated like a queen. This went right along with her never being denied the chance to enjoy the nightlife and all the pleasures that came with it. The parties she often became apart of almost always led from thing to another; alcohol, drugs, and partnerships with random consorts, which is why she got an unexpected surprise when Veronica was born, and of course, to an unknown father. Adriana tried her hardest to accept the infant that was now in her care, but her father wouldn't accept it. Not only did it make Adriana look like a loose girl with no self respect, but it tarnished his own good name; making him disown Adriana and her child out of anger.

Life, at this point, was harsh at the least. Having lost her main source of income and the ability to slip her way into midnight parties and beds of random men due to having an infant in her care, they had to find another way to get by instead of the constant mooching that she had, by this point in her life, crafted into a fine art; even though she'd not worked an honest days work in her entire life. The two were always on the streets after this, scavenging what they could from whoever or wherever they could. Rarely they would find themselves in the home of a previous partner Adriana had, but that rarely lasted more than a day or two. The single mother began to suffer from depression and stress that came with taking care of a child so young and with living on the streets, she was no older than nineteen and was already in one of the worst situations a person could be in. She started to loathe her current life style, wanting things to go back to the way they were with parties, partners, money and the other aspects she so enjoyed. Over the months of living out of trashcans and mooching what they could from her mothers previous one-night stands, Adriana's thoughts pinpointed Veronica as the object that made her life turn into a living hell. This feeling grew for over half-a-year, building up until she decided that, when Veronica was just under a year old, she was fed up with caring for the child and all the trouble that came with it, deciding the easiest thing to do would be to dump the infant in the care of someone more suited than herself; but mainly to get rid of the problem she was facing.

The orphanage that she was abandoned at was run by Father Alexander Anderson and his Clerical staff, which seemed to get the best place for it. A child being left at their door wasn't unusual and it was no surprise that it happened again, so they had no objections in taking the child in to their charge. Veronica was brought up no different than anyone else within the Orphanage walls, opened up to Catholic teaching and loving atmosphere of the church, she had little problems making friends. She was an eager and willing child, always wanting to learn as much as possible; she examined everything she was given as thoroughly as possible; making her very perceptive in her young age. This attitude even applied to her faith, leading her to keep four copies of the bible in her possession; one of which was given to her by Anderson himself. However, despite her intense interest toward studying, she always found time to interact and play with the friends she made.

She was a very active, friendly, and kind child who provided help to those who needed it when it was in her power to do so, and was a constant solver of any disputes if they happened within earshot, embracing a very motherly attitude at a young age. However, her time as innocent girl soon came to an end, like every childhood does, and was soon introduced into the real world. Integrated into the Iscariot ranks at the age of 17, her job was to purge all enemies of the church, vampire or not; and having already been be taught that such people were against God, she readily accepted this position. This is where her talent was truly witnessed by her peers as her skills were displayed; along with her physical training in Aikido, her profound belief in the scripture allowed her to use them as a weapon. She quickly became an expert in anti-vampire exorcism techniques, utilizing holy water, crosses, silver, and even the very pages within the bible itself to bring death to those who opposed that which she was taught to believe.

Her utilization of scripture as a weapon and excessive talent in anti-vampire techniques is what resulted in her first real mission at the age of 19, which ended with Veronica killing her first vampire and his companion. It was during this mission that she witnessed a woman willingly sacrifice her humanity and accept the curse of vampirism; something that disgusted her. This was the birth of her habit of crucifying her enemies. God didn't sacrifice his only begotten son just for you to throw away your humanity with abandon, so she'd show those who did what he went through in return, or so was her thought process on the matter. However, she wasn't like most Iscariot. Unlike those who willingly let themselves be led by a leash, as she had witnessed, oblivious to their own personal feelings for their orders, she developed her own understanding of the rules set before her. This is not to be mistaken, though, as she is extremely loyal to the teachings of the bible and the Church, but she's one to embrace all the aspects of it. She wont sacrifice her individuality to carry out orders. In other words, she hasn't fully thrown away her identity in service to the church.

Developing her own understanding of what nearly all Iscariot's obey without question could be seen as a brave - or stupid - act, yet she felt it was something she was required to do. The thought of not wanting to be led around blindly by the faith she followed drove her to dive into the Churches Secret Histories, which was restricted even to most priests, along with their archives in order to develop a fuller understanding of what she fought for and what they fought against; which was allowed due to her status as an Iscariot agent. The knowledge that came with this gave her insight on many things she wanted answered, and eventually put the final nail in her decision to become the person she is today. The rest of her time within Iscariot was spent like any other; she used the time to hone her skills, hunt down abominations, and even took up a position to assist at the orphanage when she could, to repay the kindness they once showed her as she was raised there. Due to her recent encounter with Alucard in Rome, she's pushed herself into developing stronger and more effective anti-vampire techniques that can be used on the field; pushing her own abilities to their limits.
