Name: Tanith Zeresa
Age: 27
Gender: female
Physical appearance: Tanith has a lithe figure, little display of muscle here and there and decent curves along the length of her body. Her eyes are a golden hue of yellow, often lending a darker shade with a clever trick of the light. Her breasts are well rounded, not too much or too little. Her shoulders are fairly narrow for her frame, overshadowed by her odd choice of hair style. Dark blonde erratic hair spikes out at the back of her head to rest just above her shoulder blades. Her bangs are cut short and loose while two long strands break off from her fringe to frame either side of her face. These stands end in a caduceus snake-like tie off, ending it simply but also telling a little bit about herself in the process.
Her mouth is set and often can be seen as rigid in a way. Not often does Tanith smile, but when she does it can reach from ear to ear lighting up her face seemingly…sadistic. She has quite a few scars through self-experimentation, many are a pale white and around her mid-section. Her most notable being the one stretching from her right palm up to her shoulder across her collar bone, others seem inconsequential in comparison. Tanith has fair skin, almost pale with most of her time being spent indoors or under the shade of trees.
Clothing of choice: Her choice of clothing is rather interesting, preferring to wear a short dress made from soft cloth that hugs her frame. The black dress comes down to her shins and has a very tight fit but allowing her leg room none the less. Most interesting though is the small hood attached to the dress, it seems a little out of place with current views on what clothing should look like but Tanith doesn’t seem to mind. The hood has an angular shape set to it when up and has white markings that look a little like eyes on either side of it. It is attached to a small collar that is more often undone than not, with a small white clasp that buttons together. Her shoe wear might seem a little more out of place aswell considering her line of work, preferring to not wear shoes but when she does wearing what may be viewed as kung fu slippers. Let it be known that Tanith’s taste in clothing is officially odd…
Weaponry of choice: Given her deceptive nature, it comes as no surprise that lies and altered truths come to her lips as easily as someone puts a bullet in the barrel of a gun. Her silver tongue and her looks provide her with almost as much weaponry she needs. However she has recently broken this streak of not getting her hands dirty, having designed and successfully formed a chemical that attacks the target’s sub-conscious mind. The chemical may be delivered in any form so long as it gets into the target’s blood stream. She usually either uses syringes or by ‘spiking’ drinks. The chemical can survive in any temperature of liquid for an amount of time that equates to a day before it perishes, unless there are blood cells present in the liquid and if so it can last indefinitely feeding off of the blood cell and using it to fuel an exponential growth. The growth does not make any immediate changes to the liquid but it does add a feint smell of oranges to the liquid.
Once the chemical has been delivered into the target’s blood stream, the target may start feeling the effects. Effects such as; feeling light headed, random assortments of sounds that only the target can hear and lessened hand eye coordination effectiveness. If the target ever feels tired in any way, the chemical will go on the attack, attempting to take over control using the target’s subconscious mind. This will most likely be in the form of a fever that won’t break, causing prolonged hallucinations and headaches. The hallucinations can be seemingly random or based off of the target’s most recent emotion affecting experience.
Tanith only has one other form of hallucinogen on herself rather indefinitely, and that is another form of hallucinogen she has developed. It is used in small amounts to a rather intriguing effect, this bottled flower emits a vapour that can hardly be seen if at all. Once breathed in, the vapors will travel through the victim until it has access to the nervous system. When this is complete it will immediately start to play with the victims nerves, it will send extra electrodes along the nerve system making the victim feel like physical contact was made with a random part of his/her body. The first hallucinogen in chemical form she calls Hypertensia, the second-lilly viper (cheesy but w/e). Her supply of both is restricted to when she herself has access to laboratories having designed one and having cracked the genetic code of the other Tanith can make both within 2 days, she has 4 small bottles of each on her person at this current time.
Race: Human
Abilities: Far from being restricted by her mortal nature, Tanith is exceedingly good at deception and pre-planning. If it is one thing Zeresa is good at, it is making people second guess themselves and challenge their beliefs. Tanith’s ability to plan ahead can go as little as a couple of minutes to years in the making her pre-planning is to put it simply, unnatural. It almost comes as second nature to her to analyse, pass judgement and deal with accordingly over any amount of time all at the same time. Her deception is just a means to helping her plans to come to fruition and comes in handy in many ways.
Her knowledge isn’t something to scoff at either, having met academic standards even in universities. Her knowledge varies from a few different things; she can speak, write and understand both English and German rather fluently, and has a keen eye for anatomy. Her study indicates neuroscience, biochemistry, physiology and recently the supernatural. Tanith does not appear to specialize in any of these fields but she has been overly obsessive with her recent studies with the supernatural.
From this she is capable understanding very complex problems within her fields of study and coming to a solution to any given problem, whether her solution is successful or not is another issue. Using her studies and personal interest, Tanith has also dabbled in open-handed combat. With this she has the rather common ability to receive any given strike and aim to use it against her opponents.
Organization: Unaffiliated
Personality:Tanith is one of many people living in this current time that is so overly confident even if she may act differently. It would best be described as a poker face, not many people can break it or surprise her much at all whether by information or actions taken. This aura of confidence may sometimes lead to complete ignorance of her true intentions, such is Tanith’s charismatic nature. She has no trouble socializing with other people, and often enjoys manipulating people to her will or changing their view on a certain point. When this doesn’t succeed, it can frustrate Tanith to no end and is prone to being violent or making rash decisions because of it. Few decisions she makes are idle, liking to always plan one step ahead of everyone else. Even if one action fails, Tanith is likely already enforcing another via socializing or calling favours.
She can be deceptive even when faced with the prospect of a fight, likely already having one up on her opponent already. She is also well known for getting lost in her own thoughts for a time. Often she can go silent, while the reason may vary it almost always means she is planning something out or overthinking something. Interruption may result in Tanith getting violent, while leaving her for too long and she might speak her mind anyway, whether planned or not, she likes to hear herself talk and takes great joy in the reactions she receives from speaking her mind. Tanith always prefers to take things seriously, viewing childish behaviour as weird and unnecessary. The seriousness and the confidence all help Tanith keep calm, as long as she has at least one of these things.
Rank: Scientist
Biography: Born in 1977 Michigan, Tanith had a fair, hardworking family. She had one other sibling, a male older brother, her parents were always up to speed on things. Trying to stay as modern as always, but always giving time and effort into everything they did to support her and her brother, wanting the best for them no less. She went to school as per normal as did her borther, but 4 years her senior, he left scholl much earlier than her. She found this rather distressing as she did have a fairly good relationship with him throughout school but upon finishing, he moved to follow his work in new developing technologies. Soon after Tanith took her first dive into science, taking a particular liking for the subject. She did have a few friends but not close ones, it was more of talking to them every now and then and knowing who they were. Tanith was a little socially awkward at time and as a consequence didn't communicate as much as a teenage girl should have done. Hence all her free time was occupied with science books or papers of any and all categories. She aced her tests in math and science and done average with everything else.
She recieved Scholarships upon the completion of her high school and went through college with ease, she went on to universities still being sponsored with a scholarship, she made some breakthrough studies but none that would immediately affect the supernatural world. Come 26 she had completed various degrees including biochemistry, neurosciences and German. Sure she definitely felt the stress of taking so much on at once but she felt instant relief once she had them completed. Mid-year 2003, Tanith came into first contact with the supernatural, a vampire to be specific. It had been in an accident of sorts, it had missing limbs and regeneration came slow. Upon studying it's cells, she was dumbfounded at what she observed. She dissected it within her own practice under the basis that it was something she felt she needed to do, after all it was near the end of it's un-life anyway, why shouldn't she right? Tanith made some quite remarkable discoveries during all this. Though she hasn't shared it with the world for fear of sparking some religious superstition in modern day and age. Now 27 Tanith has her own surgical practice, within Virginia. She doesn't keep much in contact with her parents anymore, for paranoia or something akin since her discovery. Though Tanith still holds them in high regard she likes to keep to herself.
(standard on the bio is pretty crap, apologies)
RP sample: Blood, it was everywhere…all along the tiled walls to the damp wooden floorboards. Certainly enough to make anyone believe that there had been a murder, but there in the middle of the room sitting on nothing but a stool…was a man. The scratch marks could be seen even from the slightly ajar door not five metres away from him. The holes that seemed to be carved out of the man’s skin seemed to have been made from an animal of sorts. At least at first glance this was the assumption one could make, but upon further inspection one could see the bits of flesh dropping from the man’s hands onto the floor, blood running freely through his hands from the wounds all along his arms. It had all been self-inflicted however, had he not had hypertensia running through his system he might have been a perfectly normal man. That was if he didn’t…
“Note 5, subject 3, the subject is hallucinating as expected, subject seems to believe there are arthropods crawling beneath its skin…subsequently subject has inflicted wounds upon itself”, the recorder clicked as Tanith turned it off and the tape stopped rolling. However the subject happened to think that she would clean up after him, well that would have to be fixed now wouldn’t it? Lights flicked on in the tiled room and a door opened at the opposite end of the room from the broken one. The figure in the middle of the room didn’t seem to respond at first…didn’t even react to the sudden change in lighting. Tanith walked through the door holding nothing but a tape recorder and a syringe, her blonde hair barely shifted as she never broke stride across the room toward the figure. Her otherwise smooth gait stooped as she jammed the syringe into the figure’s upper arm. The liquid expunged, she withdrew the needle and strode back through the open door. Shortly after the room filled with groaning and the slap of something heavy hitting the floor, then there was silence. Tanith paid the sound no mind as she took off the ruined lab coat, and hung it up. She grabbed her keys and took a small walk out the back of the building.
