Name: Maia Sarah Jäckel
Age: 82 (appears to be around 20)
Gender: Female
Physical appearance: Maia is around 1.56 metres tall and she weighs approximately 130lb, her build is muscular yet not to the point of being large. Her abdominal muscles are well toned as well as her legs, Maia’s legs are quite long despite her height and well formed with strong calf’s and strong thigh’s. Her bust size is at a B but due to a lot of exercise and trying to stay in shape then they are extremely firm, this is the same for the most part with the rest of her body. She isn’t beautiful in any classic sense, her eyebrows are too thunderous and the Jewish woman’s eyes are always alert lending a slight look of madness to them. Her hair is a dark brown, swept back into a tight braid that reaches the middle of her shoulder blades. Her hair is kept clean and tidy, being one of the only physical traits she particularly likes about herself it’s the one part of her Maia spends a significant part of time grooming.
Clothing of choice: The Jewish Vampires normal attire consists of grey DPM trousers with black standard assault boots, she also wears a grey tee-shirt with a navy blue coat with black buttons. The coat reaches her heels and has extremely deep pockets; this allows her to store her goggles as well as other bits and pieces. But at the same time when the coat is done up it buries her slightly, the sleeves have had to be modified to make sure her hands. By picking various shades of grey she tries to make herself seem inconspicuous, this normally works due to the blandness of the colour and the fact the eyes attracted to brighter colours as opposed to dull and lifeless ones. Maia also carries her gas mask with her everywhere she goes; lastly she has her webbing underneath the coat for storage of all of her bits and bobs. The spacious pouches includes two at the very front for ammunition, she has another two filled with other miscellaneous items.
Weaponry of choice: 5 Tear gas grenades in one of her pouches, they’re decently sized and there’s enough inside to fill what would be considered a big bedroom or living room.
Spiked Steel Knuckle Dusters- one for each hand with two inch spikes on each ring
A Saiga 12 shotgun with two 12 round box magazines, this is kept on a sling on her back.
M16: Maia uses a modified M16 rifle that uses modified .50 Beowulf rounds to give them more stopping power. She keeps two spare magazines in her ammo pouches for it with each magazine holding 30 rounds
Two blessed butterfly knives are kept in her coat pocket, this makes them easily accessible and ready for use.
*All her bullets are blessed silver with silver nitrate inside; this is so that when they enter the body the silver is released to cause more damage.
Race: Vampire- Category D
Abilities: Regeneration may take a long amount of time for major damage (ie: 10 posts), sublime supernatural strength, agility, stamina, durability, and reflexes, big weakness to silver and blessed weaponry but survivable, killable through conventional means, ability to turn virgins into vampires, non-virgins into somewhat weak ghouls, the need to drink blood occasionally, susceptible to unblessed damage (still fatal to them), meagre weakness to sunlight (as in they get sick around it).
Maia is a crack shot with her weapons, being able to use them to maximum efficiency as well as repair some damage to them and maintain them. With guns apart from the ones she has she isn’t brilliant with, specialising in some rather than being ok with all.
Her knives are lethal in her hands; she knows how to sue them and has the dexterity to cut an enemy up in seconds with them.
During her time alive she has learnt numerous fighting skills, being able to dish out pain as well as having a great capacity to absorb it. She’s no masochist and doesn’t enjoy pain, but she does have a strong will that can carry her onwards when she has nothing left to give. Her fighting style is a mixture of Jeet Kune Do, rudimentary boxing, and some Judo. She mainly uses the Jeet Kune Do but uses the other two styles to pad out what she knows intoa deadly cocktail of hand to hand mayhem.
Organization: Hellsing
Personality: Maia is often called cold hearted, circumstances taught her one thing: You can only depend on yourself; expecting rescue from others only gets you killed. She rarely gets upset or flustered, but when preparing for battle she does tend to get slightly nervous if the stakes are high. Though she does manage to maintain a calm air to herself she finds her temper hard to control sometimes, despite the control she apparently has it doesn’t take a tremendous amount to make her snap. When she does lose her temper it takes her a while to calm down, depending on the situation she’ll either bite her tongue and bear it or take her anger out on those around her. She tends to view her vampirism as more of a gift than a curse, mainly due to the fact that she isn’t done with being alive and death is finality. Clinging to whatever form of life she can the Jew has a strong survival instinct, and despite the fact that she tries to be strong she still has a deep fear of death.
This fear of death could be labelled cowardice, though she doesn’t shirk away from a fight despite risks if there is no chance for her survival she will be unwilling to throw everything away for a cause no matter how just. What makes her fear of Death an asset though is her survival instinct, without the fear of death being present a being won't fight as hard to survive without a much better reason. So Maia uses this, by drawing upon the extra fight it gives her she can get through situations that would shatter other people. Maia will fight dirty when need be and is more than willing to cheat; as long as she’s the one still alive by the end of it she doesn’t care. For the large part though she is still human, but by being a monster she is free from the pain of a human life. Mercy, kindness, and hope are still present in her but Maia always tries to bury them away; she is afraid of the emotion and by not caring our developing attachment she can’t be hurt.
Rank: Field Operative
Biography: Maia was born in 1922 as the only child of a Jewish couple; her mother was a normal German Jewish woman and housewife, while her father was a small time boxer who had been a sniper in the first world war. They were popular in the Jewish community and overall were well liked, though when Maia was eleven Hitler became Fuhrer through the enabling act: this gave him the power to make laws without the Reichstag(German Parliament.) Slowly the freedoms of the Jewish were restricted, violence became common against them and they lost rights as citizens while her father lost his job as did her mother. Things were going badly and it looked like it would only get worse, they decided to get out while they had the chance. So with money long saved for an emergency, the family left Germany to go to France with all haste in 1938; one month before Kristallnacht.
While there her father told her many things, things that were only belied by what had happened in Germany. He taught her a philosophy forged in the army and tempered with the hatred and racism for Jews that was all around him, the first rule being never to expect help from anyone. These lessons were coupled with the basics of boxing, his reasoning being that while they were safe they had to prepare for the inevitable German attack. If Maia had some way of defending herself then she would have better chances of survival, so he showed her how to be strong. “Never expect help, help is only expected by the weak and only the strong deserve it. Don’t compromise, giving in on ones beliefs makes you less than nothing.” These were some of the things he told her, the father made sure his daughter knew that anything was better than weakness, and that the only mercy you find is the mercy you earn.
The cycle of lessons and training came to an end in 1940 when the Nazis invaded France, they took over and with the Gestapo quickly began rooting out every Jew they could in the country. But Maia’s father always made sure there was a plan, so in the dead of night when no-one was awake they left Oradour-sur-Glane, the town they had lived in for a year. Dotted around the area in Basements and in barns across farms in the area were small shelters, there was even two under pig sty’s that he’d spent his spare time digging out. But they cycled through each one to avoid detection, and partly due to the worry the farmers had of capture and being killed along with the Jews if they were found.
Their caution paid off and they were unfound, eventually after the first year in hiding things were made easier due to the fact they were no longer looking for Jews in their part of France. As far as the Nazis were concerned the place had been swept clean, this meant that as long as they remained quiet and moved only at night they had a very low chance of being found. Life went on like this for another three years, and despite the odd move they were now in a barn basement mainly. It was spacious with clean, hay stored down there as well as the odd piece of fresh produce kept hidden down there from the soldiers.
Things got hectic in the early days of august 944, the Germans were getting pushed back and the SS was more concerned with looting and trying to cause as much damage as they could before France was lost all together. It was while moving back to the barn at midnight on the ninth that everything changed again, Maia’s father went ahead to check the route for soldiers before coming back to get them.
The citizens of the town were rounded up by the Waffen SS, they had been gunned down and killed, the place left in ruins. Maia’s father was seen on the outskirts and shot, Maia and her mother waited for his return. When he didn’t come back they waited until nightfall the next day, that’s when they went to try and find out what had happened. The town was deserted, corpses everywhere. Yet they didn’t find her father’s body, only blood and death. Maia felt something shatter inside, with an oath she wanted to kill those responsible; yet she was only one person. The power of a human couldn’t defeat those monstrosities, but amongst the moon and the blood a voice promised her power. The Voice told her of the un-life and its benefits, so falling to her knees into the river of blood Maia screamed in rage up at the moon. The process of finding any survivors began, it was slow and bloody work in the rain that had started to fall. Everyone was filled with bullets though, and the only thing that they found was the blood. Until Maia found what she thought was a survivor, her mother had left the town square to try and find her husband. Dragging the survivor out the Jew asked for a name, he only groaned and looked at her. He was dying and beckoned her closer to him, a if to hear his last words. But as Maia did so his teeth enclosed her neck and she couldn't scream, he drained her to try and save himself but as he finished he succumbed before he could heal. The Jew felt all hunger and tiredness leave her, she would never be hungry again. So drinking up all she could of the blood in the town, she heard her mother's footsteps and they left.
So with mourning cries from her mother the two returned to the barn basement, and ten days later the Liberation began. The Mother died of grief when she stopped eating and drinking, this left Maia at the age of 22 all alone. She was happy to leave the barn, even if she had to do so alone to go and make a life for herself in the ruins of France’s countryside. But with nowhere to stay she decided to stay in the area, she watched the animals by night and in exchange stopped in the barn like she had before. Food wasn’t a problem; whenever a chicken or other animal had to be culled she drank its blood. This kept her going along with the odd trip to the bar in the rebuilt town, while in the tavern she would drink and get into the odd fight. Despite being a woman after people saw her strength otherwise troublesome men left her alone, until in 1950 a few men came along looking for trouble.
This was on an occasion when she was drunk, the men bragged of their strength and stamina and how they could fight as well as ten men. Maia hadn’t drunk blood in a while and was irritable, so she challenged the men to a fight. The brawl raged all around as it caught on, ending when the bartender brought his shotgun out. So in the street the leader offered her a job, he had seen her fight and was impressed. Promising her lots of money and excitement; the Jewish lady decided to accept. For the next few decades Maia was in one fight after another, it mattered little to her and she had the lust for battle deep seated in her. But things got boring, people weren’t a challenge and missiles had made business slim. She had a reputation by then, people were willing to pay a lot to hire the mercenary that could fight like a company of men. She never left traces and never left anyone alive after her work was done, applying for some jobs in Europe Maia eagerly awaited a response. So when she got a job offer to work for some English organisation to make up for losses she accepted, sand annoyed her and the thrills had worn off. So leaving for England Maia hoped to find the challenge she was hoping for.
RP sample: combat: Maia waited for an eternity for the targets, they were two Millennium agents set to try and secure a gun shipments from the cartels. The bar was empty except for the dealer and the Jewish lady sipped a scotch in the corner, lighting a cigarette with care the ex-mercenary inhaled as he let the vanilla tasted wash over her tongue. Inside she felt turmoil begin to rise, this was going to be interesting to say the least.
I hope I wasn’t wrong to pack the pliers she thought with an internal laugh, the shadows danced as the light from the cancer stick illuminated the corner slightly. Abu Dhabi was always hot, but luckily the hotel had thick curtains to keep the sun out. Things remained quiet, the clock ticked away until the time of the meeting was nigh.
Things were tense as the door opened and two tall men walked in, they flexed and leered like the scum they were.
“They look like little puppies playing at being wolves” she muttered as she cast her eyes down, it was time for the fireworks.
Maia took to her feet as the men took their seats to do business; it was time to step in. Her steps echoed across the wooden floor with quiet confidence, one FREAK stood. He turned to face the Jew, he snarled and drew a pistol.
“Fuck o-“
Maia said nothing, her knives cut into him before he could react, the body fell without a word. The leader jumped up and charged. Ducking the Jew jumped back and kicked out at the Nazi’s knee, he kept his distance. But he tried moving in again, he took the knives in the shoulder yet carried on. She fell over a table, falling back the Mercenary went into a roll and got up in a daze. He had drawn a pistol and took her once in the shoulder, yet Maia went through the pain. She rushed forwards with one arm not working, a second shot took her in the leg. She stumbled but with a snarl the knife leapt through the air into his chest, he fell back with a grunt and died.
The dealer had fled, but that mattered little. She would have other chances to get him, and have a nice little chat with him and the pliers to keep his fingernails company.
