Crawlspaces

Description: Crawlspaces leading under the floors.

Sofia made her way to an intersection in the hall, not turning back to see if Alisa had followed or not; she was certain the redhead did, before her gaze fell to the floor. It was covered by the rug that lined the halls but beneath it there was a tiny door that led into a crawlspace that stretched the entire hall. She wasn't looking forward to it, but this was the price of guards with IQ points lower than a rocks. Kneeling down she jerked the rug off to the right before pulling the lid off. She was thankful she left her jacket in Alisa's room after she felt the heat rise up from the opening.

Fun...

The sniper dropped the bag of c4 down the hole first before glancing at Alisa with a smirk on her face, then dropped in behind it. It would be a tight squeeze, but they should both be able fit.

Alisa followed quietly as Sofia led her down the hall she'd come to terms with the relationship she and Sofia now shared. Now all that remained was the eagerness to resume what had been engaged earlier in the day. As they came to the crawl space she grimaced as she felt a gust of hot air hit them as it was opened. She could tell immediately that this job wouldn't be a fun job but the reward offered was more than enough to encourage her to drop down into the hole after Sofia. The passage wasn't as large as it appeared when she had been looking inside as she found herself pressed nearly shoulder to shoulder with Sofia. The large bag of explosives didn't leave much room for movement either.

She could already feel beads of sweat slowly forming on her brow due to the heat in the cramped space. "So what's first?" Alisa asked.

Her boots thudded against the floor as she landed in a crouch, quickly pulling out a miniature flashlight from her pants pocket before shining it around the crawlspace. Old cobwebs and dust covered just about everything on top of the heat - which was already beginning to make her start sweating - further leading Sofia to believe that this wasn't going to be easy. Luckily, she had Alisa here to split the workload. She gave a quick glance toward the redhead as she dropped down beside her before she pulled open the sack of c4 blocks.

"We're splitting the work in half since each hall of the entire first floor is going to be lined with them, it'll be easier that way, Ra‘yāh. We'll start with the hallway directly above us, then we'll work on the rest of them."

Placing the flashlight between her teeth, Sofia reached into the sack and grabbed an arm full of the brick-shaped explosives before beginning a crouch-walk down the tiny corridor to the right.

Alisa grabbed an armful of explosives as well and began to walk down the opposite direction. She could only guess that they were booby trapping the hallway. For what reason Alisa didn't know she didn't even know if Sir Integra had authorized this entire thing. However at this point it didn't really matter much to her she was quite sure that setting a load of mines in the courtyard hadn't exactly been authorized this would just be another method of defense.

As she moved through the crawlspace at a slow crouch-walk placing explosives along the wall of the crawlspace she scowled. She could feel sweat slowly dripping down her forehead, Trying to get her mind off her discomfort she glanced back as she placed another charge of C4 on the wall.

"Sofia!? What does Ra'yah mean!? Infact what does anything you say in Hebrew mean!?" Alisa called, She was curious as to what Sofia had been saying to her in all of their encounters all this time.

Wiping a bit of sweat from her forehead due to the heat, Sofia sat another block of c4 on the space above her before moving even further down the crawlspace. Despite the annoying temperature, most of the c4 bricks required for her side of the hall had been placed in their proper positions already, and only a few more were needed before they could move on to the next. Then again, chances are they'd need to take a break at some point due to how hot it was. The realization at just how uncomfortable it was inside the cramped space finally hit her, causing her to sigh in annoyance, but then she heard Alisa call out to her.

She was surprised it took this long for her new attraction to ask about it. She wants a Hebrew lesson now?

Sofia would usually result to speaking German when wanting to communicate with the redhead in secret, but she couldn't help it. Reverting to her native tongue during certain moments of anger or excitement was habit she hadn't broken yet, and probably never would, but if she wanted to know then by all means, she'd explain a little of it. Sofia sat down for the moment, pressing her back against the wall as she wiped a few of her damp locks of hair behind her ear, then removed flashlight held between her teeth.

"I've got to teach you Hebrew at some point." She scratched the side of her head for a moment, then glanced down the tunnel toward Alisa. "'Ra'yah', translated into English, basically means girlfriend! It would take far too long to explain the meaning of everything else, lets wait till we finish and get back to the room. I'll give you a full lesson then, alright?"

Alisa placed another block of C4 on the wall prepping it to detonate upon activation from the detonator but as she heard the words girlfriend leave Sofia's lips her finger slipped setting it on a 30 second detonation. Her eyes widened as she immediately disarmed the charge and took a deep breath. "Well...I wasn't expecting that..." Alisa said blushing a deep red color nearly the same color as her hair. This was a lie of course something told her that was what she'd meant but a small part of her kept insisting that the attraction between them was purely sexual and that such a relationship would never come of it.

She quickly returned to work to shy to say anything more until they were somewhere that didn't echo and allow anyone walking by the crawlspace to hear their conversation.

OOC: Skipping ahead a bit to say we've planted all the c4 so we can get out of this damn hole.

She didn't know how Alisa took what she had said earlier, given the fact that neither of them spoke for the rest of the time it took to set all of the c4 throughout the first floor, but regardless of how she took it, the message was clear enough and she wasn't going to take back any of it. However, the hellish heat was getting annoying, and since they no longer had a reason to be down here, it was time to get the hell out before they both died of heatstroke.

Wiping a bit of sweat from her forehead, Sofia began her crawl walk back to the opening. "Alisa! I'm all set on my end. Lets get out of here..." She grabbed onto the ledge of the opening they used to drop inside and hauled herself up before turning around and extending her hand to help Alisa out. "Come on, lets go get some water."
