| Earlier today i had some ideas for the Tournaments, and was minded enough to write them down.
First idea is the Tower of Blood. Its an 11 stage tower, with one contestant in each level. Finally, a twelveth one enters through the bottom, and is pitted against the first opponent there. During the match, the stairways to the other levels are locked, and you cannot climb down the tower again. Should you suceed to defeat your opponent, his or her blood will be collected at the base of the tower and you can advance to the next level. The levels are small, metal plated and offer no cover. There is no place to hide in these slick, steel cages without bars to escape from- the blood drains are far too small for a person to squeeze itself through, and they are laced with blades. If you are defeated trying to climb the tower, your opponent can climb to the next level- once the last person is left alive, the levels open up into a trapdoor, and the person is ejected down into a massive pool of blood that has been formed by the dead contestants- vampires will gain the prize of power by gaining a level, bathing in the blood of their opponents, while human beings may find themselves emerging from the defiled blood as a vampire themselves.
Slaughter points are awarded for each kill, and no matter how far you make it up the tower, you get to keep your SP for each of your kills. While it is highly unlikely one actually lasts that far, you can technically rank up to the highest level of vampire here.

Another variant would be a ripoff of one of my favorite games ever, Unreal Tournament.
Pitted in small arenas, which may be a building, an outside field or hell, anything including space stations and active volcanos, are two contestants, fighting in one on one combat. They can only use the weapons they find in the arena (Stated beforehand) and have to avoid lethal dangers that await there- bottomless pits, lava, automated pressure chambers, low gravity or a blast pit... or anything a sadistic mind can think of. The Arena is a locked down cage with no escape, and the contestants are transported from one arena to by being stunned and dragged away.
Rather than having many rounds, this variant has only three rounds- the qualification matches, in which twelve players play in six different arenas, the semi finals in which the surviving six have three matches and the finals- in which the three survivors attempt to kill each other in one last battle until only one victor remains.
Naturally, the prizes include 1 SP for making it to the semi finals and failing, 2 SP for making it to the finals and failing to win and 4 SP for winning, as well as a special prize which may be an extra character slot, a free relic hunt, a title for his character to be displayed under his or her avatar or, who knows whats behind door number three? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ0BXUkzRqM | |

| First one is an awful lot like King of the Hill with a set stage. - Mato Kuroi wrote:

Let me introduce you to a person called Almos Lorand. Second one is already pretty similar to a normal tournament, only with preset weapons. We've had idea of more than two players in a single match, so that part of it might work its way around sooner or later. As for the weapons, it could probably work. Prizes are most likely going to be standard tournament, though. |
