Name: Sergeant Jensen Newgate
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Physical appearance: Jensen is a rather average looking individual, except for his bulky size. Standing at a mere five feet and eleven inches, Jensen is no where near the tallest man but neither is he short in any regard. The only thing remarkable about Jensen are the sleeves(tattoos) on both of his arms, both of which are made up of a conglomeration of different tribal tattoos that seem to go well together, and two, which is the rather large and muscular frame that is very clearly visible. Jensen's muscular neck supports an oval shaped head that sports a high and tight haircut that US Marines seem to favor. His dark brown eyes seem to be set forward on his face that seems to hint that he is more of a predator than a man. His rather small ears lay close to his head. Covering a good portion of his lower face is a rather good looking beard that could possibly remind people of Paul Bunyan if Paul Bunyan was former Marine Corps Special Forces Operator.
Supporting his neck is a rather muscular frame of corded muscle and a large bone structure that indicates the the man is a natural fighter. The only scar that seems to mar his figure is about two inches long on his collar from a ejected casing getting caught between his shirt and his skin. His long arms, that seem to give him a longer reach, go down to the hammer heads known as his fists. He weighs around 220 pounds give or take a couple pounds.
Clothing of choice: Usually covering his eyes are a set of all black tactical glasses that have a retention system attached to them so he doesn't lose them if they fall of.
Combat: When in combat, Jensen is typically seen wearing a back balaclava, to obscure his identity, under a MICH helmet with attached NVGs to it(if necessary). He wears the regular MARPAT MCCUU(Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform) in whatever camo pattern necessary for his environment(Desert or Woodland). Over his blouse he wears a FSBEAAV(Full Spectrum Battle Equipment Amphibious Assault Vest) body armor. On his feet he wears his combat boots in colors matching the environment he is in(Tan for Desert/Black for Woodland).
On Duty: Jensen wears his MCCUU when on on duty with the cover.
Off Duty: Jensen is usually seen wearing either Jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt or a pair of Georgia Tech jogging pants and a short sleeved t-shirt when off duty. He abandones his favored combat boots for a pair of comfortable tennis shoes.
Weaponry of choice: Jensen's main weapon of use is a M4A3(6.8mm SPC Rifle ) made by bushmaster. Set up in SOPMOD fashion it has a laser, holographic sight, foregrip, and optional sound suppressor or flash suppressor.(6 spare magazines(156 rounds) and one magazine already loaded)(26 rounds per magazine)
As a secondary weapon, Jensen carries a MEU(SOC) .45 pistol in a holster on his hip. It is equipped with night sights. (4 spare magazines(28 rounds) and one magazine loaded)(7 Rounds per Magazine)
Race: Human
Abilities: Jensen has typical human abilities. Due to his many years as a military man and a football player, Jensen is considered to have Cat. F strength.
Martial Arts: Jensen has been trained as a hand to hand fighter since he joined the Marine Corps when he was 17. He was first taught the LINE combat system when he first enlisted and was above average at it. When MCMAP replaced LINE combat system, Jensen was required to undergo retraining from LINE to MCMAP. Thanks to his ten odd years of practicing LINE he picked up on it and eventually achieved a Black Belt in the two since its introduction and is certified to teach it to other people.
Jensen is a rather good shot with assault rifles, less so with sniper rifles. Within the effective range of his rifle he can hit a man-sized target in the chest and continue on to the next target with an Assault Rifle with ease. Anything beyond that is a toss up.
Jensen's ability to shoot with a pistol is not nearly as good as his assault rifle. He can hit most targets within 60 meters of himself with a pistol(preferably his .45).
Jensen's Special Forces training has given him a particular set of skills that work really well on the battlefield. Jensen is trained in Parachuting. He has plenty of experience doing HALO jumps(High Altitude Low Opening), HAHO jumps(High Altitude High Opening), and LALO jumps(Low Altitude Low Opening). Continuing from his Special Forces career, and his Marine Corps Career, Jensen is quite the accomplished swimmer and has earned the Combat Diver badge. Being a combat diver, he knows how to fight hand-to-hand whilst underwater and avoid detection among other things while submerged. He also has extensive training and practical knowledge in SERE. Due to this training, he has extensive skills at land navigation for a majority of the world(barring Asia and Southern Africa). Due to his Tactical Combat Casualty Care(TCCC) training, Jensen is able to treat wounds up to a severe level while on the battlefield(able to be used on himself or someone else). Because of this training, and his martial arts training, he knows key areas on the body that can slow the blood flow. When Jensen joined Force Recon, he was taught how to carry out Special Reconnaissance missions. He is able to conduct of environmental reconnaissance, target acquisition, area assessment, post-strike assessment, emplacement and recovery of sensors, or support of Human Intelligence (HUMINT) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) operations. When Jensen joined the Marines he was taught Close Quarters Battle while in SoI(School of Infantry). He is able to clear buildings with precision, speed, and safety.
Because of his time spent in the Middle East, in regular and black operations, Jensen speaks Farsi, Dari, and Arabic fluently though it is clear he isn't a native speaker.
Jensen is an above average motorcycle driver
Organization: VWAT
Personality: Jensen is a trained Special Operator. He is most comfortable when someone is shooting at him and he is returning fire. With this said, Jensen thrives on adrenaline and high stress jobs. For Jensen life isn't worth living unless it involves some ounce of adrenaline infused with it. When he isn't in a combat situation, Jensen tries to bring adrenaline into his system whether it is through speeding at insane speeds on his motorcycle or participating in underground fights. Overall, Jensen can easily be described as an adrenaline junky willing to do anything to get a fix.
Due to his extensive training, if he perceives someone is a threat he will either take them out or have them taken out. Despite this, Jensen isn't one to enjoy killing but he is more than willing to do it if it needs to be done to protect himself. One endearing, or not so endearing, quality about Jensen is his love of practical jokes. He loves to pull pranks on anyone possible.
Rank: Special Forces Operator
Biography: Jensen was born in Augusta, Georgia to a Carpenter and your typical Housewife in the early 70's. Jensen's father was an Air Force Pilot during the Korean War and was a die-hard patriot who passed his ideology onto his son and then, later, his daughter. Jensen was the first child to survive birth but not the last. As Jensen grew older his love of America grew stronger and stronger until finally he decided to enlist at the age of 17 with his father's permission. Throughout High School, Jensen played football as a Defensive End which gave him his current muscular form
After graduating High School at the age of 17, Jensen left for Boot Camp a month later. Thanks to his Athletic frame, Jensen was able to pass his PFT with a perfect score of 300. After graduating from Boot Camp and Infantry training, Jensen was assigned to his unit and shipped off to Iraq for the first Gulf War. His first combat experience scared him worse than he expected but he soldiered on because he knew if he slacked he could get the rest of his unit injured or, even worse, killed. Jensen performed his duties during the Gulf War.
After the Gulf War Jensen continued to serve with 24th MEU until he received an unlikely oppurtunity. Due to his physical fitness and marksmanship scores, he was given the opportunity to join Force Reconnaissance. He jumped at the chance, and though it was rougher than he expected, he ended up passing selection and moving on to the main training. After finishing his training, he performed a number of top secret operations, though they were few and far between. That was until 2001 and 9/11. His unit was one of the first to be sent into Afghanistan to hunt down Al Qaeda leaders. His unit did several operations with Canada's JTF2 and other American Special Operations units. It was here in Afghanistan that he received his first medal. After pulling three of his squad from the IED blasted wreckage of his HMMWV, he then began attacking the dug in taliban forces who had detonated the IED. After charging up the hillside, and making the Taliban retreat, he called in an CASEVAC and was pulled out of the country. His unit was put on hold until the Iraq invasion to displace Saddam. A year before the invasion to invade Iraq, Jensen's commander was told to send three men to the selection of a Black Operations group. He served briefly in the Black Operations unit known as Night 9 until Detachment 1 was formed and he was offered the chance to go to selection for it. Jensen was sent along with two others from a separate Battalion. Out of the three that were sent, Jensen and another man were selected to join the Night 9. Jensen served with N9 for a year before he learned of Detachment 1 forming for the Marines. Jensen wanted to continue serving with the USMC so he went through the proper channels to be selected for Detachment 1, and was selected along with 450 other recruits from Force RECON Jensen. Jensen passed the selection for Detachment 1, far from the top of his class, and was placed under the command of another Sergeant.
