J.N.V.D.O. Headquarters - Central Area

(OOC) The J.N.V.D.O. is the Japanese vampire defense force. The original creators of STRENGTH and closely associated with businessman Rufus ShinRa, it works to protect the island nation from supernatural threats. Recently, it has participated in a member exchange with America's V.W.A.T. and has received Ladd Russo. Time will only tell if Director Kishimoto will realize the terrible mistake he has made.

The exchange was now complete. While sending their primary fighter to America was a loss, it would be worth it in the end. They had already started development on more like it with others, and in the meantime, the V.W.A.T. agent would have to fill the void. From what the director had heard, this man was a former criminal -the main force behind the American's agents- and was called "Ladd Russo". He was most likely a destructive and undisciplined person, so the worst was to be expected.

Finally he had arrived. First he had to sit through the speech about "representing his organization" and "behaving" on foreign soil. Then came the paperwork, tedious as one would imagine. Then there was the plane ride over here. Christ that was a bore. The only redeeming fact about the whole thing was that he'd been able to convince them to replace his lost left forearm during the trip. After all, he'd need to look his best if he was really supposed to "represent the VWAT". Despite that being an utter load of bullshit, he'd taken the time to slip into a fresh suit for the meeting.

All in all it wasn't that different from the American base. Bunch of overly serious no name faces that would look so much better pounded into sausage but that could come later. First things first he had to figure out what kind of guy he'd be taking orders from. Flexing his new artificial hand, Ladd reached out and opened the door to what he'd been told was the office without waiting for permission to enter. The robo-hand felt pretty good actually. It was difficult to make a guy like him much stronger. Chances were this thing wouldn't hold up as well as his old flesh and blood arm had but at the very least he could function normally. He could test his new limitations soon enough. For now, it was time to make a new friend.

"Greetings and salutations from the U.S. of A! The star has arrived!"

Loud and brutish, just as expected. They were expecting him, however, only it would have been best if he had entered with their escort. Two women stood on each side of the director, pulling the ends on party poppers as the mobster barged into the room, letting confetti fly off in both directions. "Greetings, Mister Russo. Welcome to Japan," Kishimoto greeted the new arrival in formal English. He bowed to the man, as did the women, before a man in a suit brought a woven basket full of treats from the corner of the room and presented it to Ladd. Inside were several fruits -apples, oranges, bananas, and a pineapple- along with a few chocolates and a "Welcome!" card.

"I am Director Kishimoto," the first man introduced. "I am in charge of the J.N.V.D.O. and responsible for protecting Japan from supernatural threats. In an effort to solidify the bonds of friendship between our two countries, your leader has seen fit to allow you to work under me for one year's time." He paused to look at the man holding the basket. "This is my assistant, Shingetsu-san." Now introduced, he nodded.

What? No seriously, what the hell was this? Rather than the grim, businessmen Ladd had been expecting, he got...fruit baskets and party poppers? Blinking in a confused manner as the aid brought over the welcome basket, Ladd just managed to keep his mouth from hanging open. That being said, it did little to hide his great confusion at the situation. He was out of his element in more ways than one here and he didn't particularly like it. Stroking his chin for a moment, Ladd pondered the best response to the situation and moved the welcome basket under his free arm. Eventually, the proper route became clear. To hell with it all, this guy actually seemed like a half decent guy to work for. Might as well give him a chance. Scoffing a bit, Russo crossed the room towards the director and held out his flesh and blood hand.

"Well alright, Kishi. You boys sure know how to welcome a fella in style. Keep this up and I might not even kill any of ya...maybe...probably not. Hey there dollface," he said, briefly flashing a smile at one of the female assistants before turning back to Kishimoto.

Returning the gesture, Kishimoto shook hands for a moment before returning his arm to its resting position by his side. "Shingetsu-san," he said, turning to the other man. "Please show our member to his room." Shingetsu nodded, walking up to the mobster and extending his arm in a directional manner to point down the hall. In response to his flirtation, the woman only blinked, keeping a straight face while on duty. The idea of this exotic new man was a bit alluring, though. But he was a criminal, and she was on duty. No romance, no matter how tall, and blond, and muscular, and foreign, and...
