Father John O'Sullivan

Have you see the OVA or read the manga series of Hellsing?  If so how far have you gotten?  If not please direct your attention to YouTube, and watch OVA 1-4 at least.  Warning: If you have watched the anime we require you watch the OVA, or read the manga.  The anime is not canon.  This is not our opinion.  This is the law set down by the creator of Hellsing, Kouta Hirano.  Yes I have read the manga and seen the OVA






Name: Father John O'Sullivan

Age: 35

Gender: Male

Physical appearance: Father John stands at 6ft 1in tall and weighs 196lbs.  He has platinum blonde colored hair that is long on top and medium length on the bottom, stopping at his shoulders and icy blue eyes.  He has an athletic build do to 8 years of training and as such has a toned upper body.  He has muscled arms with wide strong shoulders.  His abs are well built but not overly toned and his chest is strong and wide with emphasis on his upper pecks.  His lower body is of medium build, with a narrow waist and strong muscled legs.  He has numerous tattoos on his body such as a tattoo of Jesus on the cross taking up his back,  a picture of St. Mary on his right arm, the picture of St. Ausius tattooed into his chest, and a picture of St. Michael tattooed into his left arm.  Finally he has the entire Lord's Prayer tattooed into his lower back.

Clothing of choice: More than half the time he can be seen wearing his black Priest's shirt and black pants with a silver crucifix around his neck on a chain and black Italian loafers.  If he is giving mass he will wear different colored robes in regards to the seasons and Catholic holidays.  When he is going into battle he will wear a long black trench coat over his outfit, but will keep his Priest’s garter on.  He will also wear white gloves with Iscariot's symbol on it and their oath sown into the material.  In battle he wears two types of holsters, shoulder one over his right shoulder for his SIG pistol, and a left shoulder holster for his Jericho.  He keeps spar clips for his pistol in his coat pockets and wears a vest over his chest that can hold up to a dozen knives of variety.  His sword is typically sheathed and strapped across his back to be pulled out quickly and expertly.  He generally keeps his hidden blades strapped to his wrists at all times and hidden under whatever clothing he is wearing.  In battle he will wear black steel toed boots to give his enemies an extra kick if needed.  If he carries silver stakes or hand grenades into battle he will keep those in a bandolier strapped across his chest.

Weaponry of choice:



SIG Sauer pistol-Fires from a 15 round magazine of .357 SIG bullets.  Can be equpied with both a silencer and a scope.  Standard human can carry about 5 magazines clips.

Sword-Father John's sword is a 3ft long blade styled in the design of the old Roman Imperial Gladius.  Named "Blade of Ausius" it is made of steel that has been laced with silver that was blessed by the Holy Order and is double edged making very sharp and deadly.  





Hidden Blade-Two five inch long steel knife blades that are attached to projection devices strapped to the wrist.  Blades can be hidden up any clothing and then activated for a surprise strike or melee attack with a flick of the wrist.




Throwing knives-Father John uses a multiple types of throwing knives that are between 6-10ins long.  Each blade that he uses will ahve been blessed and laced with silver to make them effective against even the undead.  He typically carries 12 on a bandoiler he wears across his chest.


Race: Human

Abilities: They display feats typical of that of humans, they aren't so strong but they make it up with versatility... or not. Although some humans may possess supernatural abilities through experimental means, those sort of humans are rare although, and are often called mutants. The term "peak human ability" is generally defined as the equivalent to Category F vampire abilities, though some people may be able to increase past this barrier by specializing in a skill at the sacrifice of others.  In Father John's case, his time in Isacirot and as a pupil growing up under Father Anderson has given him a wide range of abilities. he is a skilled shot with most types of fire arms having gone through training similiar to Army soldiers who are trained in basic fire arms, however his pistols are his personal preference. During his time growing up he quickly adopted to and became a master of Krav Maga and is able to take down most human opponents with proper and quick strikes to their joints and vulnerable spots like their throats and solar plexuses.  Finally, then talented with guns he's greatest skill is his ability with blades. Combining his Krav Maga fighting style with his hidden blades enables Johnathan to attack and salsh and stab at his enemies with multiple and various strikes that seem to come from out of nowhere. His skill with his sword and knives is equallly impressive, unlike his class mate Yumi who went with a long Katana, Johnathan felt a short sword like the Gladius actually gave him edge over oppenets armed with longer weapons as all he needed was one opening to exploit and can cut his enemies down with quick slashes and stabs as they fumbled with larger and clumsy weapons; at the same time his accuracy with throwing knives is phenominal and as all his blades are laced with silver can be painful even for the undead, throwing them randomly and aiming for vital areas of the body makes for a deadly combination in the hands of a master baldesmen like Father John. At the same time he also received helicopter training while growing up and can fly any type of transport Helicopter, in the event such a need should arise such as evacuating the Vatican.


Organization: The Iscariot

Personality: Father John is typically a very sociable and kind man who gets along with most people.  As a Boston born Irish American who still has the same Blue collar mannerism that he inherited from his parents and as such is something of a jokester, looking to make people laugh when he sees them as down.  When working at the orphanage he is both a kind teacher and guardian of the children there and sees them all as a part of his family, willing to protect and die for them if needed.  Amongst his fellow priests and Iscariot agents he maintains a strong soldier's discipline that he inherited in the Orphanage and knows to bow and treat his superiors with respect.  He follows the strict hierarchy of the Church with deep meaning making sure to treat all bishops, archbishops, Cardinals, and even the Pope himself with the respect they deserve.  Around baseball season he is known to be in his room where using a satellite radio will actually listen to the Boston Red sox games, one of his few dirty pleasures that he brought over from America.

In battle or when aggravated his demeanor changes from a happy go-lucky man to that of a brutal and skillful warrior.  Attacking relentlessly and passionately, he strikes quick and hard in battle.  Believing himself to be a warrior of God, he is known to quote the Bible in combat similar to his comrade Anderson, while asking for strength from St. Michael and St. Ausius whom he feels an attachment.  In battle he uses his hand guns first to gauge an enemy’s strength and then will close in using his CQC and sword.  If they get past that he will always have his hidden blades as a final resort.

Biography: Born in 1969, John O'Sullivan was brought in Boston, in the USA.  Growing up in an all Irish neighborhood, he was taught to be a hard worker and a good Catholic at a young age by his parents.  As such by the time he was 6 years old he was already attending mass every Sunday and came to know his Priest very well.  One night however changed his life forever.  A drifter came calling when he was asleep up stairs.  he quickly killed John's father and then chased his mother upstairs to John's bedroom.  She ordered him to hide under his bed.  The drifter, came up stairs and John watched from his bed in horror as the man killed his mother and consumed her blood.  The murderous beast, then lifted john's bed and found the quivering boy.  The vampire smiled evilly and looked like he was going to attack John, but suddenly screamed as he was stabbed by what looked like a silver steak from behind and turned to dust.  John saw his mysterious savior as a priest of sorts who looked down on the boy with pity.  Handing him a medallion with the Roman numeral for 13 on it, he told him to show his family Priest it and he would know what to do.

John did as he was told and ran from his home as the strange man began to burn his parent's bodies.  Reaching hi priest and telling him what happened, he presented the medallion to him and his Priest was astonished, but understood the meaning.  As such he promised to look after John and sent him away to Rome where he mentioned an Orphange he had visited ona prior visit run by the Church.  Sent away to a new country by the priest with hopes of a new life, young Johnathan was hopeful that he could get a fresh start at the Orphange, and was told a priest from the Orphange would be waiting for him. When he arrived in the vast city, young John O'Sullivan was greeted by a tall man with a Scottish accent, who introduced himself as Father Alexander Anderson.  Taking him to the Orphanage and promising to raise him as God intended, young John started the next part of his life under his tutelage.  At the Orphanage, John had a good childhood playing and learning with the other children.  As he grew older, he came to understand the Orphanage was a training ground for the Iscariot Organization, and that they were the ones who saved him long ago.  Scouted and accepted into the group's training regiment at a young age, John soon found himself training with some of his friends from the Orphanage; specifically a Japanese girl named Yumiko, a German girl named Henkel, and a younger boy named Anthony.

Under Alexander's tutelage he excelled in his training along with the other members of his class and was taught everything from fire arms, to CQC, to how to use blades.  At the same time like many of his follow class mates, he studied to become a priest in hopes of being a better servant of the Lord and helping children as they helped him.  Soon when he was 25 years old, he officially became a Priest and was assigned as a teacher at the local Orphanage.  Unofficially he was inducted into the Iscariot in a ritual over seen by his old teacher Anderson, and the Iscariot leader Maxwell.  That night he was sent on his first hunt and tracked down a vampire in a remote mountain town outside of Tuscany.  Using what he had been taught and utilizing his skills, he was successful in his trial and killed the vampire.  upon his return, he was given the title of Paladin and has served as both a teacher at the Orphanage and as a holy warrior of the Vatican ever since mstoly taking part in Missions with Anderson, Yumi, and Heinkel such as assassination, sabatadge, and counter-terrorism.  In time he has, like his teacher Anderson earned several nicknames in the Vatican through compeltion of his missions and his unique fighitng style, such as "O'Sullivan the Gladiator" which he eanred when he mastered he's unique sword style using a Gladius. "O'Sullivan the Spear" was a name he earned after utilizing his hidden blades for the first time, leaping down upon an enemy driving his blades through thier heart like a spear. "O'Sullivane the Guillotine" was a more morbid name he got when he hunted down and killed his first vampire with Father Anderson, using his signature sword to behead the beast like a Guillotine. Finally of course there is his favorite name "O'Sullivan the Manslayer" which he earned for stirking down every enemy of the chruch he has battled over the course of a decade, never relenting in his missions and always destorying the enemies he was sent to kill.  

RP sample: On a calm and sunny day in an Orphange just outside of Rome, Father John O'Sullivan sat outside under a tree with a group of the orphans, reading a stroy book to them entitled "Les Miserables."  As he read in his slick Boston Twang, the children actually listened with intent and curiosity as he finished reading about the confrontation between the characters Jean Valjean and Javert.  Closing the book and marking his page, Ftaher John smiled at the children as he put a hand through his long blonde hair and addressed the children as a teacher.  "Now then, who here can tell me why Jean Valjean choose to defy Javert and keep his promise to the dying Fontaine?" he asked

A child stood up and raised his hand while saying, "Becasue he felt his promise was more important to her then his promise to turn himself over?"  Father John nodded approvingly and said, "Very good, anyone esle?"  Another child, a young girl stood up and said, "Becasue he had made his promise to her through God, he felt that was why it was more important"  Father John smiled happily at the girl and said, "Excellent, now one more please."  Another young boy stood up and said, "He felt that the promise and laws of God where more important then the laws of Man that Javert followed."  Fahther John smiled with rpide as he nodded and then clapped his hands approvingly.

"Outstanding!  That my little ones is the point if today's lecture; that men are naturally imperfect.  Only God Almighty is perfect and only he can cast final judgement on us when we embrace his heavenly grace.  The laws of God will always be superior to the laws of man.  Remeber that children and you too will find yourselves closer to the Lord" he explained much to the children's delight.  As he set the book aside he heard the lunch bell rang and dismissed the class who ran off to the cafeteria with excitement.  As he stood up and embraced the warm summer air he felt a presence behind him as he scracthed his nose.

"Father Renaldo, how are you today?" he asked as he turned around and looked at the older priest.  Father Renaldo scratched his mustache and nodded approvingly to Father O'Sullivan.  "I enjoyed your lecture, for someone who neevr went to a University you have the air of a Professor of Literature" he responded as he removed his glasses and cleaned them.  "Thank you Father, but I assume you are not here to listen to the philisophical significance of French literature" Father John said as he turned towards Father Renaldo while eyeing him supiciously.  Renaldo nodded and threw a file at Father John which he caught expertly and read quickly.  "We found out who it was that hit that car filled with charitable donations from S. America.  One of the victims of that heist was a nun who had come to deliver the donations herself.  This is a solo missiona nd we expect you to do what you must.  Her soul lies within the heaevly gates of St. Peter, but her name must now be cleansed of the blood that has sullied it.  Anderson gave his full reccomendaiton that this be given to you....come we count on you to give these communist blasphemers a strong message Father O'Sullivan?" he asked while looking at Father John.

Father John read the file with interest and looked up at Father Renaldo and said, "If the old man gave his recoomendation, who am I to deny it.  For those who do not love the Lord Jesus Christ then they are cursed.  The Lord Come Amen."

Sometime later, the mountain region outside Naples.

A small encapment had been set up in the area by a local band of communist extremists who sought to bring a communist govt to Italy through violent revolution and had broken even from the Communist Refoundation Party.  As two guards stood outside the camp keeping an eye out, the sound of someone approaching the camp caught thier attention as they held up thier sub-machine guns in a protective manner towards the darkness of the night.  As they did, Father John O'Sullivan walked towards the men dressed in a long white coat , his hair tied back in a pony tail, holding an open Bible in his hands.  "A Holy man?" one of the guards thought.  Father John O' Sullivan mearly smiled as he looked up at the men and said, "And so God did love man so much that he gave them his only begotten son.  To suffer for the sins of Mankind so that we may be forgiven for our sins and embrace the Holy Spirit.  A shame that even today sin is so prevelant" he said.

"What are you pratling about priest?  Don't come here with your opium as it falls on deaf ears.  Leave now and we might let you live to rell of our great cause" one of the guards said in anger.  However Father John kept his Bible open as he read the pages, then tossed a coin of sorts to the guards, one of which caught it and saw it held an image of St. Guadelupe.  "Guadelupe?  What is this some kind of joke?" the other guard said as he looked at the coin.  "No it's not a joke.  I just thought you would like to know the name of the nun you murdered in cold blood when you pulled off that heist a few days ago" he said with a smile.  The guards looked stunned as John then tossed his Bible into the air.  As the guards looked up in shock at the Bible, distracted though they where, they never saw John reach into his jacket grabbing one of the throwing knives strapped to his vest.

He then threw the knife at the guard on the left while making a bee line for the guard on the right.  the left guard gaspped and gagged as the knife hit his throat and he fell over dying with blood pouring form his throat.  The right guard looked up as Father John jumped towards him extending his right hand in grabbing motion and swatting the man's sub-machine gun away.  As he did his right hidden blade extended and hit the guard in the eyes, piercing his brain and killing him instantly.  Retracting his blade under his wrist, Father John smiled as he caught the Bible that he had thwon up into the air and pocketed it, before advancing into the camp where four other men, including the group leader sat around a fire discussing thier next plans.  Stepping forward and smiling at the men Father John announced himself with a smile as he said, "Gentlemen make your peace with God now, as you must give your lives to me."

The men turned stunned as Father John withdrew two knives and thre them at two guards, killing them with hits to the throat and heart respectfully.  He then ran at the leader and the last man as they reached for thier weapons which lay out of reach.  Father John then jumped towards the leader and lashe dout with a martail arts style kick, hititng him in the chest and then turned towards the last man who had grabbed a shotgun and was cocking it.  Rushhing towards the man, Father John reached for the Gladius style sword on his back and slashed at the man's hands, dismebering them.  The man screamed as his lifeless hands, still clutching the shotgun fell from his body and then stabbed the man through the chest with his sword.  Father John sheathed the sword on his back as the man fell over dead.  As he did, he turned back to see the leader of the group, having recovered from the kick, crawling towards an assualt rifle.  As he reached out for it however the man screamed as Father John pressed his boot into the man's hand breaking it in the process as the man screamed in pain.  The leader whimpered as he looked up at John and said, "Please Father have mercy.  I just wanted to create a better place for workers here!"

Father John however mearly shook his head as he pulled out a Jericho pistol from his belt and said, "It is the duty and job of Almighty God to give mercy.  As a mortal man who mearly preaches for him......I don't have too." Father John then aimed at the back of the man's head as he continued to plead for his life and said, "Requesta de partche!  In nomina patrich, et fili, en spirita sancti.  Amen!"  At which point Father John pulled the trigger of the gun and broke the night silence with a pistol shot to the back of the man's head.  He then did the sign of the cross and kissed his cross as he said a small prayer of forgiveness and left the now lifeless camp.

Kind of curious as to when he got the tattoos, and what purpose they serve for him. Are they are minder, or something else?

He got them as he grew older and they remind him of his devoution to God and the teachings given to him by Anderson and the church.

Name: Irish

Age: Finally someone over 30.

Physical Appearance: Some of your sentences are a tad run-on. The tidbit about “icy blue eyes” that is just stuck on the end of his hair description reads really awkwardly. Other than that, he is a guy that’s toned and has a bunch of tattoos. And that’s about it.

Clothing of Choice: A white trench coat seems like a poor choice in combat that is normally supposed to be done in the shadows. You also need to fix the descriptions of your holsters as your M9 and revolver are no longer your weapons of choice.

Speaking of weaponry: I am no fan of Glock. They misfire, they are improperly balanced, and are in general the go-to gun for anyone who wants to look cool but not actually shoot anything. And you have a 9mm. Against undead and vampires that will do quite literally nothing. Unless it is a perfect headshot to a ghoul – even then, that’s iffy. There is no such thing as a “silencer”. It is called a suppressor. And a night scope…on a handgun? There is no need for that, as almost all your combat with a handgun in this place will be rather up close. And the range of a Glock 9mm is not that great, so even with a night sight at a long distance, you might as well be throwing rocks at them.

It is called a magazine, not a clip.

The Jericho 941. As I cannot – once again – press my opinion of dislike for this gun on you, I will have to defer to your taste in handguns. A .40 caliber is a decent size for hunting ghouly things and vamps, and more than adequate if silver for a lycan. I would still suggest a 357 SIG.

We have already been over the sword.

The knives. I just can’t think of these as being efficient here. If you were a special human or a supernatural creature, sure they could work. But you are human. You can’t possibly throw these hard enough or fast enough to take down or even injure a vampire/lycan. They will most likely just catch it, or allow it to hit and take little damage from it. And even up close, how will they be effective?

If you need help with this, please ask one of the many of us who know about this sort of thing.

Race: The best.

Abilities: You just copied the racial abilities without adding anything special to them. Then you said he was a crack shot and talented in CQC, but what kind? All of them? A particular specialty? And he can fly any type of helicopter? Something tells me that’s a probably not, especially with the “exact great skill” part. But that leaves the question of what else does he do? Can he bake? Play cards? Win hopscotch? There is nothing here. If it isn’t on the sheet, then you can’t do it.

Organization: Again, the best.

Personality: Fluffy Iscariot

Ranks: Sure.

Biography: This priest saving him, giving him a medallion…what? I had no idea Iscariot had those – Imma have to get me one. And then suddenly he is in Rome? What was with that medallion? Was it a one way trip to Iscariot? This seems sketchy to me.

I am also wary of people who write in canons to their bios.

The names…there are SO. MANY. Did he give them to himself? What remarkable deeds has he done in order to gain them? If he has been the scourge of the battlefield, that is something I want to read about. Then maybe he will be backing up those nicknames. And “Manslayer”? Does he kill normal people for the lulz? Or has he killed so many Protestants that he earned the name by sheer numbers?

There are quite a few things with this sheet that need to be addressed before I can vote on it. Once the modifications have been made, I will be happy to look over it again.

I just had a fan girl giggle from the Assasins Creed knife. Love that hidden blade!

First part of the bio I can see how some can get a little confused. did you mean that the boys priest would know what to do, hence why the boy ended up in Andersons orphanage? Besides that weird wording that you had, all seems good (thoughts can tangle sometimes when writing, but you seem to havea good backbone for writing).

I was originally thinking that it might have been a bit too much hardware, but then again handguns are relatively light and the mass amount of knives should be reletively light as well. I see no issues here.
