Have you see the OVA or read the manga series of Hellsing?  If so how far have you gotten?  If not please direct your attention to YouTube, and watch OVA 1-4 at least.  Warning: If you have watched the anime we require you watch the OVA, or read the manga.  The anime is not canon.  This is not our opinion.  This is the law set down by the creator of Hellsing, Kouta Hirano.

Name: Robert McManus Oft called Pilgrim or Wanderer

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Physical appearance: Rob is almost stereotypical in appearance, his Irish features are strong and quite plain beneath a mop of blonde hair. His eyes are a pale cobalt blue beneath straight but slightly angled eyebrows; this is all topped off by a small smile that always seems to adorn his face no matter what’s going on. He has no marks on his body due to his healing factor though on his left bicep he has the Irish flag while beneath this he has the Irish Ranger wing motto “Glaine ár gcroí, neart ár ngéag agus beart de réir ár mbriathar” tattooed. He stands at around 6 foot 3 with a strong build, his shoulders are rather broad and his hard features can be rather intimidating to most that look upon him.

He normally has a lot of stubble, forgetting to shave often enough to just keep it looking semi tidy.

Clothing of choice: Rob likes to dress conservatively, though despite dressing semi normally he likes boots. Mostly though he dresses in black DPM trousers, DPM being the material that combat fatigues are made of and are rather sturdy as well as protective; he also wears a grey jacket made of the same material which he keeps buttoned and zipped up most of the time. Underneath the coat he wears plain tee shirts, not wanting to spend a lot on clothes except when it comes to assault boots of varying designs. Overall most of his shirts are plain base colours, usually a strong green without a pattern.

Weaponry of choice: Rob has a plain black PSS Silent pistol, kept loaded all the time he has another 3 magazines of six at his belt while another three are kept in his C95 jacket. He has two scalpels hidden just up his sleeve for quick very close quarters combat.
On his back he has a plain black carbon steel short spear that reaches his chest, he uses this to give himself more reach as well as keep room between him and his enemy. The blade is around 8 inches long, and the blade is covered in Etorphine, Etorphine is an animal tranquiliser that takes relatively short time to work but lasts for only a short time, but while it’s working the user is unconscious and dead to the world if he manages to get enough into their system.

He also has an Uchigatana which has a number of bible verses written across the blade, it was a present from his oldest brother when he came of age and is his prized possession because of who gave it to him rather than because it’s an extremely effective weapon. The blade itself is made of carbon steel, hard enough at the edges to keep the edge sharp whilst being soft enough in the middle to take brunt force without breaking.

Race: Special Human

Abilities: Rob has numerous skills developed from time in the Irish Army Ranger Wing, he can interrogate people as well as fight bare fisted if needed. He is proficient in smashing bottles without getting a hand full of glass as well as fire an assault rifle or pistol with precision envied by almost ayone, but mostly he has his indomnitable spirit that can carry him on when otherwise many would have given in. He can still be incapacitated. The Irishman has peak physical condition, able to go for days with very little rest if need be his indomitable will has been tempered by training to turn him into a weapon. He’s an expert with his Katana, spending hours a day on developing his abilities with the blade as well as a considerable time on his other skills, these include: Camouflage and concealment, Judo, Taekwondo, First aid, as well as spending a lot of time researching and memorising the myths and legends of his homeland.
Due to his interest in myths despite never encountering a vampire he is well versed on lore in various religions and cultures, werewolves didn’t interest him as much leaving him with only basic knowledge on what was meant to kill them.

His most curious skill though is one that sets him apart from normal humans, his regeneration. He can regenerate at a much higher rate than normal humans, and can even regenerate limbs (though unlike a regenerator perfected by science like Iscariot has then he does suffer drawbacks during it in the form of “growing pain” that can sometimes incapacitate him to an extent.) His Regeneration is equivalent to a C class vampire, though because of the amount of stem cells needed to heal his body produces a lot less white blood cells giving him a weakened immune system as a catch to his regenerating. Meaning that once every twelve hours he has to inject himself with horse antibodies, and straight after regenerating from a severe wound (loss of limb) he must give himself a quick shot of mixture of nutrients and vitamins to keep him on his feet and to stabilise himself and to make up for the amount of said vitamins burnt up to fuel the complicated regeneration process.

6 SP- His regeneration advances to be equivalent to that of a B class Vampire, while his body density grows to increase his durability to medium levels while otherwise he remains unchanged.

8 SP- His regeneration reaches the maximum it can do as a mortal, he still feels all the pain of regrowing and still must make up for the vitamins used up and inject his horse antibodies. But at this stage his body starts to adapt, as his body reaches this stage his body develops huge amounts of durability as it grows more used to taking damage and has “evolved” to be able to better cope with damage. He can be killed still by conventional means but it is harder to do so with his bodies added durability.

Organization: Unaffiliated

Personality: Rob often gets described as a “passionate person” his temper is hard to rouse and overall he is quite a pleasant person, but his temper is just as wild as his mirth. It’s hard to figure anything in particular about him from his conversation as well as his body language, despite a slight tendency to chat and to spout out anything to strike up a discussion fo some sort he never talks about himself, it’s not due to any great tragedies in his life, it’s just that he finds it difficult to talk to people; while deep down he has a slight paranoia that people won’t like what he’s like beneath his little act. Another thing easily noticed is that a thing he says doesn’t match his tone of voice, when saying he’ll kill someone it can almost sound bright and cheery to someone that doesn’t know him well enough to see through his unconscious charade.

He has no real code of honour, he sees no problem with slipping a knife in an enemy’s back, this comes down to the fact that in many areas he has no restrictions whatsoever. Fighting honestly isn’t beneath him, and if he can he will engage in honest combat, but the Irishman has a survival instinct that recognises that victory is all that matters more than the means. This isn’t to say he kills indiscriminately, he’ll try and keep collateral deaths to a minimum and children are precious to him in particular though he doesn’t shoulder blame for deaths or destruction he couldn’t stop when he wasn’t able to. These things are trivial for him, he knows that if he couldn’t stop something then he couldn’t do anything, burdening himself over it does little for anyone.

Rank: Wanderer

Biography: Robert grew up in the South of Ireland in a devout Catholic household, his family strong believers in Irish independence he was raised as the middle child with two brothers. His brothers believed strongly (like he did due to the constant talks on the English oppression) that they were better off as independent and that their people wouldn’t be free until they got back the six counties of the North. Unlike his brothers and family however Robert came to a decision early on, that killing was hard to justify and that it was wrong to kill the English for being English. His brothers laughed at that, they were determined to help liberate the North anyway it took.

Things got even stranger for him when he reached the age of fifteen, he was taken to hospital when it was realised that his immune system wasn’t up to scratch leaving him ill a lot and the flesh melting off of his bones. Eventually this was helped by the injection of horse antibodies and physiotherapy to help stimulate his body. He didn’t realise much later that this had kicked in due to some sort of mutation, he suffered some serious cuts jumping from a local ridge into a small lake, it wasn’t until he stumbled home that he realised he had somehow healed. Not knowing what had happened, he merely decided to hide it; not knowing what people would do if his abnormity was revealed he was content to merely live normally. Over time as his strange ability mainfested itself he noticed that his health was improving as well, he was getting ill less and less as his body changed and allowed him to finally regain his strength.

Eventually he came to the conclusion that if he stayed where he was he would merely turn to their way of thinking he decided on trying to make something more of himself, with otherwise average marks at school he went to join the Southern Irish Rangers.

At the age of eighteen he got in, spending most of his time busting up terrorist operations while drilling for battle he grew to be great friends with the men in his unit. He only returned to his hometown once, but when he found out that his brothers had indeed joined up with terrorist organisations he decided to leave so as to avoid trouble for anyone. Rob had loyalty to the country, knowing that turning his brothers in would be the right thing to do, but that would go against the family values and loyalty to ones kinsmen he was raised with. Setting it to the back of his mind the Irishmen carried on, fighting in dark alleyways to catch the people that needed catching was what he was sworn to do. Nonetheless he reached the end of his service after five years, he left with his head held high and his uniform and an honourable discharge having risen to the rank of Sergeant.

After leaving he decided to travel to London, where it was at least a little safe from the anger brewing in his homeland. Rob then opened up a book shop in the city and retired to a quiet life of making model boats, as well selling old books of a collector’s nature as well as keeping ones of personal interest.

RP sample: Rob sat behind the counter of his shop “black books” he read through a book he had owned since the age of five, it was a book of fairy tales. It left him laughing as he finished off the story of Giant’s Causeway and went onto start “the children of Lir,” he only put the book down after he heard the sound of someone entering the shop. He smelt the stench of alcohol, it was heavy in the air while seeming all the heavier as it punctured the smell of old paper that permeated the air. He looked up, a light frown on his face as he got up to stroll over to the big man that had just entered.

“Good evening, it’s near closing time I’m sorry to say, anything I can help you with my friend” his voice more than tinted with his accent, it seemed strange to hear in the middle London despite the time he had spent in the city. He didn’t really belong.

The reply was guttural “ello” it was a cockney drawl; the guy was definitely drunk but was in the stage of merely being unpredictable rather than overly clumsy. He carried on, taking a seat amidst the orderly book shelves and piles of old papers he pointed a meaty finger at the Irishman. “You… you’re a Mick!” he shouted, his voice all of a sudden angry as he just worked out what Rob’s accent was.
He merely got a shrug, the ex-Ranger stretched out; taking a little stool for himself he looked at the man with a growing frown. “If I wasn’t such a nice guy I would have had to put you on ya ass fer saying something like that to be sure” he stated. “What did I do to you eh?”
“Bastard Irish prick, me brother went over there, he was a Para you know. They used nail bombs, you friggin’ bastards killed ‘im” he was a little teary. But getting up he took a clumsy swing at Rob, trying to exert some of the anger.

It was no secret that the street had a shop on it owned by “a Mick.” He threw himself forwards, using his forehead he knocked the man of the seat and gave him a broken nose to boot. He fell heavily and tried to roll and get up, his hook and missed completely. At that point he drew a knife, his eyes watering with blood dripping slowly down his face. “Put the knife down son, I never killed yer brother and I don’t condone those that did, put the knife down and tell the nice mac all about it. Or you can try to use the knife, but if you do you best be good with it”

Uncertainty flashed in his eyes. “Whaddya mean?” he took a step back, licking his lips he shook his head.

“Try using the knife and I’ll beat the living shit outta ye, but after that we can go for a drink once you come to eh? Not one to hold grudges” he laughed, the sound puncturing the intimidating silence. The knife flashed forwards, the man dropped; he received a stool around the head. Stumbling, Robert followed up with a kick to the groin. His opponent dropped, the knife glinting as it fell from inert fingers. “Agh, stop moanin’ ya jessy, I’ll get ya some whiskey later.”

Regeneration wouldn't make your immune system weaker, if anything it would use up his energy making him tired. If anything it would make the immune system stronger.

Quote :
According to others this checks out okay except for the immune system thing. Stem Cells can take the form of White Blood cells which can kick basically any diseases ass. Maybe he just feels exhausted and needs to inject himself with adrenaline but Horse Antibodies just don't seem healthy...

The Flesh Melted off of his bones? Wouldn't that basically mean he died or at the very least left catatonic due to the sheer pain, horror, or blood loss. Not to mention Stem Cells cannot replicate what is not there. That part irks me but I am sure it can be easily remedied.

This is adequate enough.

Overall just fix the aforementioned problems and you should get my approval.

Same same. Not quite sure what to make of the slaughter points ability progression you have going but I could see it working at the same time. I'm excited to see how this character handles a combat situation. Do the changes and you have...

Glad to see this was fixed already. Just remember next time you do something with the biological parts of a body you research it thoroughly. By that I mean know what happens when skin is melted off, and such.
