Weaponry of choice: Raphael uses a longsword made out of the finest steel. While not unbreakable, it can withstand great punishment before even fracturing or cracking. The hand guard is silver in color with blood red markings on it. The hilt is jet black with 3 small, golden lines running along it, evenly spaced out on the hilt. The pommel is golden. The swords scabbard has a base color of silver. Parts of the scabbard are raised slightly and colored blood red like the markings on the hand guard. The base silver color runs between these elevated red pieces, forming an elegant design. In total the blade is 5 feet in length and the width of the blade is 2 inches.
Race: Vampire Category D, reverted from a Category A
Abilities: Raph's second ability is to transform, however, at this point, the ability is in its basic stage. At Cat D, he grows a pair of bat-like wings which allow him to fly. At Cat C, the shape of his jaw changes and his fangs become more pronounced as well as his other teeth becoming razor sharp. He also gains claws at this stage on both his hands and feet, with a single blade like claw sticking out from the back of both his hands as well. At Cat B, the rest of his body becomes more of a humanoid bat hybrid, but only in bone structure and body shape. At Cat A, the transformation finalizes and he loses his hair, and his skin becomes more leathery and alot tougher to pierce with normal weaponry. Normal weaponry includes non-blessed/silver blades and all non-blessed/silver bullets. However, his tough skin becomes softer and much easier to pierce for a 6 second window if a blessed blade/bullet or blessed/silver bullet passes within a foot of it. However, the item will only cause that section of his skin to become soft. So for example, if the bullet passed by his thigh, and depending on the size of the bullet, whatever portion of skin that it passes over, is what becomes soft, the rest stays tough. Even without this natural weakness, silver/blessed weaponry can still pierce his hide, making it the most effective way to fight him at that point. Explosives, whether it be full on explosives like C4 or explosive bullets/blades, will do more than normal weaponry(explained above), they will still only go so far, still making silver and blessed weaponry the best choice.
The bread and butter of vampires, often these sorts of vampires are a step up from the Category F, having evolved from that level to be a better fit hunter of the night. They are the second largest group of vampires, but still cannot match up to the numbers of the Category F sorts.
Traits: Regeneration may take a long amount of time for major damage (ie: 15 posts), sublime supernatural strength, agility, stamina, durability, and reflexes, big weakness to silver and blessed weaponry but survivable, killable through conventional means, ability to turn virgins into vampires, non-virgins into somewhat weak ghouls, the need to drink blood occasionally, susceptible to unblessed damage (still fatal to them), meagre weakness to sunlight (as in they get sick around it).
Organization: Unaffiliated, Attempting to recreate The Shadow Court
Personality: Raphael is a very overconfident person at times, and it causes him to be severely pissed off when he loses. Being sealed away by the Vampire Hunter did nothing to help this. However, he is no fool. If he believes a situation to be too dangerous, he sends his thralls in his stead, preferring to stay in the back and let others do the fighting, until he thinks that it is up to him to get things done. He does not like being lead. He prefers to do the leading. If someone orders him around, he does not take it kindly. He will express his disatisfaction, and if he is above you, he might even try to kill you. After learning that his 318 year imprisonment inside a blessed coffin caused him to revert from a Cat A to a Cat D, he tends to get pissed more easily at his weakened state, and wishes to return to his former glory and crush all those that oppose him. He believes that all Humans should be eradicated and has a deep hatred for priests, the Iscariot priests imparticular. He views all Vampires serving the Hellsing Organization as pets that should be liberated from their Human masters.
Rank: N/A, Leader if recreation of the Shadow Court is successful.
Biography: Raphael Le Rouge was born in 1654, to the Lord of one of the many regions of France. Raphael was raised to be a proper young man and was expected to take his father's place as Lord of the region when he passed. Throughout his childhood, Raphael eagerly awaited this day, and prepared for it, accepting it as his destiny. As he grew older, Raphael became very ambitious. He wanted his father's title sooner, but he lacked the power necessary to usurp the throne. So he grudgingly awaited the day, when his chance finally presented itself.
One day, at the age of 25, he decided to spend a considerable amount of time in his personal quarters in the eastern tower of the castle. He stared out of the far right window. The stars shown brightly in the night sky, and the moon was red. As the wind blew through the window, he heard a soft step behind him. He turned to face the intruder. A woman, with bright red eye's stood before him. She introduced herself as Katrina. Raphael had never seen or heard of her before, but he knew she wasn't human. Since she knew Raphael was no match for her, she made him an offer. Give himself to her, and he would become more powerful. As cliche as that sounded, he agreed, as he desired more power. She sunk her teeth into his neck and began drinking. When she finished, she stepped back and looked at Raphael. As he opened his eye's, they too were a bright red. He was now a Vampire. He smiled a devilish grin.
The following day, Lord Le Rouge and his wife went missing, leaving Raphael to inherit the throne. In truth, he had killed them in the night and consumed their blood, hiding their bodies where no one could find them. Katrina appeared before him after he was proclaimed Lord. Raphael asked her to become his wife, and she agreed. Over the next few years, they consumed the blood of the castle staff, and would make occassioanl trips into the local villages to sate their thirst. Their power grew immensely over the years, and eventually, some of the more powerful vampires in France flocked to Castle Le Rouge. Proclaimed their leader, Raphael established The Shadow Court. A group of powerful Vampires intent on taking control of all of France.
Eventually, Raphaels plans grew even more ambitious. He wanted to create a world shrouded in darkness, so that Vampires could roam freely, and not be constrained to the night. Because of his identity as a Vampire being common knowledge, the whole of France began referring to him as Le Seigneur du Sang, or The Lord of Blood. In an ongoing effort to make a list of all known Vampires in France, the King commissioned the writing of a tome called The Nightwalkers. Raphaels name as well as his nickname were recorded in the book along with all his deeds. The only thing not listed, was what he planned to do. The tome was eventually lost in England, and so one copy only exists.
The King of France, pushed to the breaking point, enlisted the aid of an infamous Vampire Hunter who had never been beaten, it was also said that he was very powerful priest from the Vatican in Rome. The hunter went to Castle Le Rouge and defeated all of the Vampires there, save for Raphael and Katrina. Raphael sent Katrina far away from the castle, to hide and only return should he prevail. Raphael and the hunter fought for an entire day, with only the western and southern towers bearing any damage. Knowing that they were evenly matched, the hunter forced him into the bowels of the castle and forced him into his own coffin. The priest placed a very powerful blessing on the coffin, sealing it for all eternity. However, the coffin could still be opened from the outside, by someone not of the undead. Katrina fled the castle that day and returned 3 days later, hoping to find her husband still alive. When she entered the castle basement, she came upon Raphael's closed and blessed crypt, as well as the priest's corpse that had turned to dust. Knowing that she could not free him, Katrina fled the castle, fearing that other similarily powerful vampire hunters, may come seeking stragglers. For the next 318 years, she too, was not seen again. It is assumed that she was found and killed, but no body or ashes have turned up.
RP Sample:Raphael awoke in his chair. His right hand was curled into a fist and pressed up against his tilted head. "Katrina, my wife, what is it?" Katrina had been shaking him. Something she didn't usually do. "We have an uninvited guest making his way through the lower halls." Raphael sturred in his seat and listened. He could hear the sounds of blades striking blades, and arrows whizzing through the air. The sounds grew louder and louder and the fighting moved ever closer. By the sound of things, his thralls were being dispatched quite easily. "A powerful one at that." His top two lieutenants were standing in the middle of the room facing the main doors. Francois and Giovanni, were their names. The sounds of battle died down, and moments later, the main doors opened. A man dressed in shining armor and blue cloth stepped into the room. A silver cross hung around his neck and a leather-bound book tucked into a satchel aroud his waist. "I congratulate you for making it this far, Priest. But you shall go no further." boomed Raphael. His voice echoed throughout the hall. His top two lieutenants rushed the priest, and with a quick swing of his sword, he cut them both down.
Raphael scowled and arose from his throne. "Katrina. I bid you leave this place, and do not return unless I prevail over this priest." Katrina looked as though she was about to speak, but when Raphael's bright crimson eye's turned to meet her's she withdrew and fled through the side corridor. Raphael turned his gaze back to the priest and drew his sword. "It appears that its just you and me now, priest. I should warn you, I am not as weak as my subjects." The priest grinned and chuckled. "They wouldn't have hired me if you were weak. This should be exciting.... abomination." The priest lunged forward. Raphael sidestepped and blocked the blow with his sword. Their eye's met. Raphael used his left hand to draw his pistol. He aimed it at the priest, who noticed it immediately and jumped back as the pistol discharged and missed. Raphael holstered it. "Not bad, priest. Your quick. This should be fun. Raphael moved swiftly and came up beside the priest, swinging his blade, attempting to cleave his head from his shoulders. The priest ducked and swung his own blade, thrusting it forward in an attempt to pierce Raphael's heart. Raphael spun around the priest, avoiding the blow just in time. The battle continued for the rest of the day, their powerful clashes destroying the ceiling and tearing down the western tower.
Their battle soon moved into the depths of the castle. They busted through the door to Raphael's underground chambers, where his steel coffin resided. Raphael blocked an oncoming blow from the priest. "Your attacks are futile. You cannot defeat me." The priest reeled back from one of Raphael's swings. "Aye, it would appear we're on even terms." They were both bloodied and beaten from the attacks they did manage to land, but nothing fatal. The priest eye'd the coffin and realized that there was only one way to defeat this vampire. Raphael braced for another attack, but was caught off guard when the priest went to kick him. The kick struck Raphael's blade and sent him flying into his casket. "The priest forced the lid shut before Raphael had a chance to retaliate. The priest pulled out his bible and began reciting and ancient prayer. He focused all of his energy onto the coffin, placing a very powerful blessing onto it, sealing Raphael inside. The priest collapsed onto the ground out of exhaustion, and soon after, died, having used all of his energy placing the blessing. For the next 318 years, Raphael remained locked inside the coffin, laying dormant, waiting for some poor fool to release him. As he waited, he began to weaken, and he reverted from a Category A Vampire, to a Category D due to lack of blood, using the souls that he had consumed to sustain himself and to prolong his reversion.
