Train Ride of DOOM (Iscariot Mission)

(OOC) Got asked to play the part of the villain for a few of you. He's about a C and there's 53 Ghouls to fight on the way up the train cars. Five cars plus one for fuel.

The French countryside; a beautiful sight, if a bit overcast this day. Normally, at least. The last person who would admire the scenery from the fast moving train just had his neck bitten open by the gaunt gentleman with a parasol and sunglasses. Blood ran down his face and onto his clothes as he drained the body of the crimson liquid. Tossing the man's corpse aside, the vampire strolled to the back of the train car, twirling the parasol as he went. No doubt the first few cars were infested with Ghouls by now; it would be a fun evening once they arrived at the destination, wherever that might be. He took a seat in one of the many open chairs, waiting for the bodies to animate and fetch him refreshments. It was almost funny to think about how the unassuming engineer was driving the hoard to their next kill.

OOC: Sorry for the wait everyone, been a bit busy what with midterms and all. Of course, now i'm halfway through my spring break so its about time I used some of that good free time to post.



Over the vast countryside of France, a single helicopter flew through the air. Aboard it were 3 Iscariot agents. Their mission: To hunt and eliminate a vampire who had jacked a passenger train. Edward had been assigned as the commanding officer. His subordinates were Father Rodrik Cassel and Nathan. Edward didn't expect much of a challenge from this assignment, but in the event things went sour, he had packed extra ammunition for his dual Smith & Wesson Model 500 revolvers. He had also freshly cleaned and sharpened his sword which was strapped to his back. If he needed any extra assistance, he had his trusty pocket bible on hand.

Edward fixed his glasses with a slight press of his fingers, pushing them back up onto his nose. He could see the train in the distance. To anyone not trained in the hunting of vampires, it would have looked like a normal passenger train speeding through the countryside. However, to Edward, it was too calm, too peaceful. He turned to face his subordinates, hanging on to a handle bar at the side of the helicopter. "All right, here's how this is gonna work. As soon as we're above the rear car, we'll jump down and start cutting our way to the front of the train. The vampire has likely turned all the passengers into Ghoul's by now, so be on your guard. This isn't my first rodeo, but considering I havn't had any experience with either of you yet, it's always best to be a little cautious. Just stick close and don't let your guard down."

A few minutes later, they were above their target. The helicopter was keeping steady a bit ahead of their drop point. If it had been hovering directly over, they would completely miss it and likely hit the tracks. Keeping ahead of it allowed them to fall directly onto the rear platform of the last car. The intercom flared to life. "Ready to drop on my mark!" Edward turned back to the entrance and stared down at the train, not in the slightest worried that he'd miss. "3....2.....1..... GO!" Edward pushed himself forward and out of the helicopter. The fall was quick. He adjusted just enough to land perfectly on the platform is a sort of half-crouch.

He stood tall, the wind blowing his jet black hair around. He pulled the sword from his back, and brought it up. He swung diagonally, cutting the door from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. He brought it up once more and cut it from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. The door fell apart in 4 pieces. The passenger car was dimly lit with only the natural light to light the car. He could see the crimson blood stains on the seats and walls. The car was infested with Ghoul's, who were all looking directly at the intruder. Edward stepped into the car at a slow pace, as if to intimidate the Ghoul's. "Upon this day, the men of Iscariot shall put you all to rest. May your souls find their way to heaven." He lunged forward and chopped off a Ghoul's head. "AMEN!"

Nathan was doing some last minute checks on his rifle, Now this gentlemen is a sniper rifle and I just have one question he said as he put a strap on the rifle then slung it over his shoulder WHY AM I GOING ONTO A TRAIN !? he had been in a rather bad mood ever since he was told his mission. I'm not suited for this kind of close quarters fight you know he looked down at the train, despite his whining he was focusing on the number of cars and how many ghouls there could possibly be.

He looked at a rope and then at Edward who was telling him and the other one to get ready to jump. Nathan being a normal human garbed the rope and after Edward jumped out he followed, as he hopped out the helicopter he swung forward and let go, at that time Edward had cut open the door and was already in the car, Nathan spun his body and rolled into the car.
James bond...lies to me he was laying on his stomach and in a bit of pain but he could continue. He quickly got onto his knees and took the Savage 10fp and moved onto a seat, getting a ghouls head in his sights and then pulling the trigger.

Rodrik followed behind the regenerator into the train, his mind had been working while in the aircraft. He had made sure that while travelling to the train he’d gone into a trance, he had worked out around about where the ghouls would be and in what positions. Knowing that would mean that as soon as they went in then Rodrik could kill approximately three ghouls with his gauntlets. He had it all planned out for the first cart, if it all went well then it could be cleared in just under ten minutes; with time to consolidate and work out what would be happening in the next cart included.

Then contact was made, things were going well he could see. His prediction on positioning hadn’t been extremely accurate but he had killed two ghouls as soon as he got into the train. He quickly moved forwards to repress the ghouls; his Luger came up as soon as he had room. Opening up space for the others to advance Rodrik made sure that none of the abominations was left unsent.

"Father McFinn, make sure that you're on a constant offensive, stepping back gives a 33% higher chance of death or injury, especially with these things"

From the front of the train, the vampire's hearing detected the intrusion. Honestly, he'd suspected something when he heard the faint noise of the chopper blades. Must be some fools fancying themselves vampire hunters. His Ghouls (the one serving him drinks excluded) were all alerted now and prepared to attack. Just to be safe, he pulled out a shotgun he kept at his hip, resting it on his knee and pointing it towards the door in the event these mortals could actually make it to the "boss level".

The first agent seemed to either be incredibly brave or incredibly foolish, since his first strike may have taken out one of the undead monsters, but it also left him open for attack now that he was in the near center of the car. From all sides, Ghouls charged him in an attempt to overwhelm the paladin, claws and teeth competing for their chance to grab chunks of his flesh, though one's head exploded from an expertly fired sniper round.

Thankfully for the other two, the majority of the Ghouls were occupied with Edward, leaving only three to come after Nathan and Rodrik. Two of them seemed to go down by Rodrik's hands soon after he arrived, the last one still making its best attempt to hobble towards the two, a few others on the outside of the circle around Edward taking notice and switching targets. Near the front of the car, a much smaller Ghoul was doing an ineffective (and admittedly adorable) job of breaking through the adult monsters to get at the paladin. The boy couldn't have been much older than eight before he turned; much too young for all of this horror.

It seemed that Edward had been a little too eager to get into the battle. It had been quite a while since he had been sent on a mission like this. He was a little slow on the uptake, having only killed one Ghoul that was in his direct path. This single slaying caught the attention of the majority of the Ghoul's in the car. Thankfully, Father Rodrik and Nathan came to his aid, however, it was but a small fraction of the cars occupants. The Ghoul's were scrambling over the chairs and down the aisle to get at him. He fended them off with his blade, but he didn't have too much room to swing. Meaning he had to hack bit by bit if he wanted to get anywhere. He grabbed one Ghoul by its shirt and kicked it back into its buddies. The kick was powerful, and managed to jumble that particular Ghoul's brain, though the ones it hit were merely down for a count for a few moments. They'd be back up soon enough. More Ghoul's rushed to take their place. Edward swung his blade, making sure it didn't slam into the cars side. He managed to sever the Ghoul's spine. However, another Ghoul latched onto his arm and bit into it with its powerful jaws. Edward suppressed a scream of pain. He brought his arm around, dragging the Ghoul with it, then whipped it forward violently. The Ghoul's teeth dislodged from his arm, but not without taking skin and muscle with it. The pain was immense, but he just barely managed to keep it in. He had to think quickly if he wanted to survive. There were one or two chairs on each side behind him. If he could managed to get over them and behind the others, he'd be safe. Without him in the way, they'd be unhindered in their assault. Unfortunately, some Ghoul's had managed to get behind him, and with very little distance to close on him, he didn't have much choice, but to force his way through them.

Being surrounded on all sides with a horde of Ghoul's intent on solely killing him and him alone, Edward had a feeling that without any luck, he'd be dead soon enough. His own excitement had gotten the best of him, and now he had to pay for it. He brought his sword to bear and tried his best to swing it into the oncoming horde. He managed to cut into one, but it didn't do him much good as there were many. He closed the short distance and rammed into thme with his shoulder, trying to shove them aside. At this moment, those close enough began their assault. Tearing at him, biting him, ripping off bits of flesh and meat. The pain was immense. They were even at his back.

However, just as he thought his time was up, luck struck in the most convenient of forms. The Ghoul's he had tried to shove away from him tripped on something. As they fell forward, Edward used what strength he could what with all his newfound injuries and managed to get over a chair. With the quick glance behind him, he saw what had caused the Ghoul's to trip, which he had never seen happen before. A toy lay on the floor of the passenger car. IT was long enough and cylindrical enough to cause it to roll when stepped on, causing the Ghoul's who stepped on it to fall and take enough of their buddies with them. With a glance at the crowd, Edward could see a small child towards the back. He was obviously a Ghoul. A child so young..... he should never have been, should never have had to deal with this fate.

Edwards weakened body fell to the other side of the chair, which just so happened to be at the back of the train where his comrades were. They would take of the Ghoul's while he recovered. If anything, they were better equipped. He managed to pull himself up against the train cars wall next to the door he had busted through. He smiled. "Sorry about that. Seems my excitement got the better of me." He stared at the horde of Ghoul's who still seemed intent on getting their food. Edward kept his sword in his somewhat limp hand in case he needed it. He could feel the regeneration process begin, but these weren't minor injuries. They would take a few minutes to heal. For now, he'd have to deal with what he could regenerate.

OOC: New version of the post. Any complaints(Which i'm sure there are bound to be), just let me know.

(OOC) Just one: Are the Ghouls all standing around going, "Hold on, bro. I want to see where this is going. Let's just watch."? They're literally surrounding you from all sides; there isn't a large distance to cross from the chairs lining the car to you in about the center. As you're doing your sword dragging and shirt throw, there's about five or six of them latching on to your back and taking bites out of your neck and shoulders.

Damn fool Nathan exclaimed as he noticed the ghouls going towards Edward, he too breath and then began to move his recital towards a ghouls head, he pulled the trigger and the 338 lapua magnum round shot out the barrel and went through a ghouls skull, the bullet continued and went through another ones skull. If I can keep this up I may live.. just as he said that he noticed something happen, ghouls were falling over, causing him to not fire for a moment Damn it stay still.

As he took a breath, Nathan noticed Edward was coming back and the ghouls were also coming Not your fault it was Nathans lying habit showing its ugly head. The reticule waved towards a ghouls head and he pulled the trigger, the bullet speed out and penetrated the ghouls skull, once again it had went through but merely skiff ed the skull of another ghouls head. This isn't working, if I had something like a smg or machine gun I would be better off, but all I have to do is make sure Edward regenrates and hope rodrik can take out a bunch of them

Rodrik’s gauntlets licked out at his opponents punching the ghouls into oblivion, he kept his guard up while he struck out. He had seen a pattern in how the ghouls struck. Now he was striking out before any of them managed to lay a finger on him, one went for his legs. He kicked it back into the others while ducking under one to his left; his hand punched it in the sternum. That’s what this was; brutal close quarters that never relented. He would have to kill many of these before the mission was done; there was a raw beauty to this style of combat. His senses took hold and he let himself get swept aside by his gift, he hit at an opponent getting ready to strike back into its fellows. The Ghouls were stopping each other from getting at him in the narrow confines; the environment was against them and their slow forms. And against the Iscariot being slow only got you death. "ISCARIOT IS HERE TO PURGE YOU EVIL THINGS, WE WILL NOT SUFFER YOU TO LIVE ON THIS CLEAN EARTH" his voice shook with righteous fury, for now they weren't mere mortals but sacred executioners that couldn't be touched. "COME AND TRY AND SATE MY ANGER, DAEMONS, HEATHENS AND VAMPIRES WHORES" his eyes were wide open, he struck out at anything that came within reach. Seeing ten seconds into the battle came in handy...

(OOC) Hard to keep track of the exact number of Ghouls left anymore, so let's just be fair about however many are in each car and such. You've got most of them at this point.

Ghouls dropped left and right. The layout of the car that had previously allowed them easy access to the fool's flesh was now working against them, herding them into a neat line to be shot and smashed. A few tried to climb the seats, but their poor motor skills prevented them from getting anywhere very fast. Biting and clawing, the ones left standing advanced on Rodrik, only two at a time due to the seats. With less competition, the small one managed to scramble through the feet of the larger ones, trying to bite the priest's ankles, hopefully unnoticed due to the larger Ghouls drawing focus to themselves.

In the last car, the vampire had gotten his wine, only to spit it back into the face of the pseudo butler after realizing it was warm.

Edward leaned against the back wall of the car, smiling as his associates destroyed the ghouls in train car. Not many remained. Ed could feel and see his regeneration. Muscle reformed as did the skin over top of it. Now that he thought about it, they could have used the chopper to finish this rather quickly. Unfortunately, it was far too late for that. It looked as though the hard way was the only way they could get through these train cars. It didn't bother Edward. His sword could reach and tear, he just needed to be mindful of the space he had and to not step into the middle of things again. One ghoul managed to get past Rodrik and Nathan, attempting to get at Edward. It was the small child he had seen before. It tried to bite at his ankles, but Ed simply knocked it back every time it tried to get at him. He flipped the sword in his hand so that the blade was pointed downward. "I beg thee lord, to take this child unto heaven, and relieve him of this curse. Amen." Ed knocked the child down once more, and with compassion, impaled the child through the head. Ed shut his eye's as the body lay still. "A child so young. He had his whole life ahead of him, and now he has none. May he find joy in the heavens above." He removed the sword from the boy and stood behind the others. His eye's opened, a serious look on his face. "Gentleman, whatever we do, we must not fail here this day. So many unfinished lives, cut short by a single demon." He pointed his sword at the thinned crowd. "Let us press onward, and do our duty as men of god."

As Rodrik was shouting about purging the ghouls, luckily the noise wasn't too distracting he was used to hearing words up till now. Edward, after cutting down a child who had become a ghoul, shouted to push onward, Nathan took a breath and looked down the sights of his sniper once more, as the reticule waved towards a ghouls head he and pulled the trigger. Once he fired a shot he looked over at Rodrik and Edward [i]I need to let these two do a bulk of the work, and when the vampire comes ...[/b] a small grin appeared on his face as he began to plot.

Grinning with Happiness and a crash of gauntlets Rodrik punched his way through the crowd of ghouls, nodding as the regenerator gave his little sermon the priests face was grim and he began to growl. “FROM ASHES TO ASHES YOU HAVE COME, AND TO HELL YOU SHALL ALL GO, CONSORT OF THE DEVIL, VAMPIRE!, YOU SHALL BE DESTROYED BEFORE THE BLAZING FURY OF THE RIGHTEOUS!” he looked for a second down at the child’s body before pressing forwards, his mind was reeling from everything that was happening. “Father McFinn, we’ll have to hope the child was catholic for him to go to heaven” he said before rushing forwards, he wasn't about to let ghouls overrun them all once again.

(OOC) Empty car. Prepare for round two.

The vampire up top was slightly distressed at hearing less of his Ghouls as time went by. Eventually, the last car seemed to have been emptied of all his minions. Though he was sure that three men couldn't possibly defeat him, let alone get past the rest of the passengers, he decided to take precautions anyway. Pulling a Ghoul aside, he commanded, "Disconnect the last two cars." The monster seemed to understand, lumbering forward and down through the cars until he reached the connection between the second and third, preparing to cut the slack from the train.

Edward watched as the last of the Ghouls was slain. "I pray for that as well, Father Cassel." They still had 4 train cars to go and a fuel car to top it off. There would be many Ghouls between here and the engine, perhaps too many for them handle. He walked to the front of the car and kicked the door open. Across the gap was the second car, its door still shut, though the moans of the Ghouls inside could be heard. He looked up to the car roof and an idea hit him. He yelled back inside the car. "We're gonna take a detour to the front of this train!" Ed stepped out of the car, turned and jumped up, grabbing onto the roof of the first car. He hauled himself up, stood, and looked towards the roof of the second car. He slowly stepped back to the back of the first car, then sprinted towards the second. He leaped over the gap and landed on the second cars roof in a crouch. He stood and ran to the other end of the car, and jumped. However, as he was passing over the gap, he was distracted by the sight of a ghoul trying to uncouple the car. He missed the landing, but managed to grab on to the edge of the car with one hand. The other reached for his sword, and swung in an arc at the Ghoul, decapitating it. He managed to resheath his blade, grab onto the ledge, and pull himself up onto the third cars roof.

Getting out of his position Nathan slung the rifle on his shoulder Wait what ? his response to Edward shouting about a detour Oh.. he quickly gather what may happen and then saw Edward take a sprint then jump. After seeing him jump Nathan sighed Well..Rodrik you first he said as he casually gave a small "you first' hand gesture, he gave a small polite small as he did it Come on, I don't want to be caught in the fighting.

Getting onto the roof and following the other paladin with a psychotic grin Rodrik made sure that the sniper was following them, he seems to be a coward Rodrik thought uneasily. He glanced around as he went back into the train; he jumped across the gaps with almost wild abandon. They were getting close to the Vampire, and by skipping the ghouls and killing him the Iscariot knew that the ghouls would die without their creator. “Father’s, we’re getting closer and closer to the Heathen swine, when we get to him we should try and circle him, without his ghouls to hide behind he will fall easily” he snarled as he rushed to go just behind Eddie, they would all fall like wheat before a combine harvester.

Though dead and being smeared along the tracks in a grayish-red mess, the Ghoul had accomplished his mission. The detached cars were slowly pulling away from the rest of the vehicle. Not much longer and the Catholics (minus Edward, who was already attached to the third car) would be left in the dust. From inside the second car, many of the Ghouls howled for blood, unable to get at the cheaters jumping over them. The head vampire had little to do but wait to see if his plan had worked. He had little doubt, though, that this had solved the problem. Not to mention it would increase the speed of the train a bit, so they would arrive at the station that much faster.

Edward Stood atop the train car. He had just barely made it before the cars behind him were decoupled. He looked back as his two compatriots were stranded on the ever slowing train cars. Edward put his finger to the communicator in his ear. "Max, speed that chopper up as fast you can. This vampire is proving to be a pain in the ass. Pick up Nathan and Rodrik on your way up, their cars got decoupled so you'll catch up to them in no time. Once you've got them, catch up to the train and get me. We'll blow that Vampire sky high." He looked ahead towards the front of the train. Your time is finite, hellspawn.

Nathan let out a rather annoyed sigh as he saw the train being detached Oh great now we are stuck he looked forwards Hmm Rodrik, don't suppose you can still make the ju before he could finish his rather weak attempt at a joke, he heard the faint sound of a helicopter coming.  The sound of it was becoming closer and closer Ahhh smart man he though as he began to think out a plan Guess we may either be blowing the train, or I will need to snipe on a helicopter.
Seeing rope being dropped out the copter made Nathan a tad nervous Lord if I live through this..NEVER PUT ME ON A DAMN TRAIN AGAIN he though as he garbed onto the rope as it passed by, quickly Nathan was pulled up and into the helicopter.

This mission's been going on for damn near 4 months now and it's still not complete. I'm cancelling it.
