Another day, another night... well, at least this was her day off. A long appointed day off for Seras... her first one in nearly two years. She liked doing her job, no doubt about that, but in the end, no matter if she was a vampire or not, she had a limit, and reached it now. Despite the fact that she was still armoed, a pistol in her paddle holster didn´t scare anybody as it was practically invisible under her pink jacket, but this was finally some time to relax. After a little bit of waiting, the train she needed to take arrived and she got on board, taking a seat near the door to doze off and listen to the noises it made. Just some well needed relaxation.

| Maia stepped in after Seras, she’d been told that if she had to have a day off the older woman had to go with her. Seras was strong but rash, the older one would be able to stop her doing something stupid. So with a sigh the Jew sat opposite the police girl and awaited for the train to start moving, there were vibrations from the engine making a light rattle but that was all. Sitting back as the cool evening air filled the small-ish compartment Maia seemed to frown, she was a fighter and not some sort of guard. Still, she sympathized with the overworked Vampire; the job was rewarding but breathing or not it never stopped and carried on and on and on.
“So girl, where is it we’re going anyway? Might as well know if I have to go to”

....and yeah, there was this. She wasn´t allowed to go alone, so she had someone come with her- Maia Jäckel to be exact, her mirror image in every meaning of the word. "Manchester. Didn´t you read the sign?" Seras answered, trying to stay civil- if they had to be on this trip togethr all this time, then it would be worthless to fight during it. "I`m not forcing you to come along- if you want to get off now, go ahead, i won´t tell anyone. I`m a big girl, i can live by myself."

“There’s duty girl, I bet you can live by yourself but I have been told to keep an eye on you and I missed the signs. Still, you don’t have to talk to me ok, just do whatever and I’ll e keeping an eye on you” The Jew said delicately avoiding an argument. The girl was soft to an extent but she couldn’t change everyone, despite her own ideas of what strong and weak were. Sitting back in her tank top and a pair of short Maia decided to get things out in the open, “Seras, I’m not one to hide behind pretty words so I’m just going to ask you. Why is It you resent me so me so much? What did I do to offend you eh?”

That was a surprise- she didn´t expect something like that from her, talking about her feelings, even though indirectly. "Uhm, i don´t hate you or anything, Maia." Seras began, sighing a bit. "It just feels like we´re polar opposites. I`m trying to remain as human as i am, while you seem to think being a vampire is a good idea. And granted we both shoot them as they come, but never seem to think about what you´re doing when you´re shooting a vampire in the face. He`s an enemy, yes, but for what reasons? Why did he become a vampire, did he want to become one in the first place or was he forced to? I still think blindly shooting them all is the wrong thing to do, but there´s no cure, so thats all we can do." She sighed a bit. "I swear the day a cure for vampireisim is discovered is the day i put down my gun and retire. .... i got off track, didn´t i. Uh, basically, i don´t hate you at all. I don`t even dislike you all that much. I just assumed we two were avoiding each other... you seemed to do that, anyway."

“I avoid a lot of people, don’t take it personally I just find it hard to talk” the Jew said calmly, thinking about adding more she continued. “I also have a bad temper; you must have noticed that at some point; by keeping out of things I don’t kick off a fuss. Plus vampirism is good, true there are draw backs and I don’t see it as a purely good thing. Don’t you think that I’ve wanted children at some point, or a normal life? I kill vampires without question because they’re the enemy, their circumstances aside they still try and kill me. So I succeed in killing them back, morals or ideology and war really go together. I've seen proof of that, I don’t hate or love I merely fight and kill but I do it because I have to. I don’t really hate any people when it comes down to it”

"Thats a pretty one sided ideology- they try and kill you because they know you kill their friends and other members of their race. The problem lies in the very principle of that thing- We vampires ruin the balance of power. Mankind wants to restore said balance, and the two are engaged in a conflict that will never end until one side destroys the other." Seras explained with a sigh, slurping down. "My approach isn´t right or wrong and yours isn´t either, neither of us can do a damn thing about this situation. We`ll just have to live with it and kill to survive, and to save others from having to become like us." Her moral study was interrupted by an earshattering scream from the back of the train car, a cloud of red panting the windows as the train went into a bend. Seras twitched, her hand shooting to her holter. "Once... just once, i want to have a day off, and this happens.."

| “My Ideology isn’t perfect, but it gets things done and keeps me sane. Still, being what we’re is tough girl and you must always be ready-” She was stopped as the shouting happened, Maia could smell the blood and in a way it was what she expected. Normal was something that only other people had the privilege of, she was merely on a bumpy ride as part of fate’s sick joke.
“Seras, keep calm. We’ll go and see what’s happened, if it’s a vampire or something like that we’ll deal with it, if not then it will get taken care of by the authorities. Just keep an eye out for anyone dangerous.” She said calmly, this wasn’t a time to get apprehensive. She left their compartment with a loosening of the wrist, calmly putting her hand on her knives in the pockets of the shorts.

"You´re telling a former police officer to ignore a murder scene? Good luck with that.." Slowly standing up, Seras made her way through the train towards the scene- as a crecendo of screams echoed through the train, the other passangers having realized what happened and panicking, being picked off one by one. Finally deciding this wasn´t something the people at the next station should see, Seras gripped one of the handlebars and pulled the emergancy brake, stopping the train mid-way underground in the deepest darkness imagineable. Her pistol drawn, Seras flicked off the safty and proceeded towards the murder scene, the stench of blood becoming ever thicker with each scream that was silenced. It was in the other train car by now, but the first victim had been just at the end of theirs, she could see the blood pooling on the floor. "Maia, its either a vampire or a serial killer. Either way he´ll get shot in the next couple of minutes, i´ll make sure of that."

“Are you going to shoot the person responsible? And what if they give in Girl?” Maia said with some boredom in her voice. “Seras, you can’t just slam my own ideology then talk about killing someone who could surrender. Righteous or not there’s still no mercy in that, and like I’ve said Mercy is merely weakness.” She paused as she took the body in; there was a lot of blood everywhere. She could almost make out cuts on the body; it appeared it was a Vampire after all. So with a sigh the Jewish woman pulled out her knife, she was ready and willing to kill as soon as possible. Guns could prove useful in this sort of environment, but a knife to the heart stopped everything.
