| Description: Located on the third floor. The interior could be seen as reflecting Stein's emotionless desire for science and dissection, by way of clearly lacking anything that could even remotely come off as homey. The entire color scheme of the decently sized room is grey, giving it a dull and bland feel with little life to it. The place is filled with scientific and surgical equipment, bookshelves filled with files and books line the wall opposite of the door, most are uneven and crooked in placement. A computer and desk, along with his trusty computer chair sit in front of them; rows of books and documents placed in boxes and file cabinets beside it.
An operating table sits against the left wall, with a small table beside it filled with beakers, chemicals and thrown about files. Despite it being his living quarters as well as laboratory, Stein does not have any basic living utensils, and only uses his science equipment for both scientific and daily needs. A rather bland bathroom is also connected by a door beside the operating table. Although there is working electricity, the lights are almost always kept off due to an odd preference he's developed over the years of living in rundown shacks, unless light is required for his experiment. |

| A normal person would acknowledge the change in their surroundings, moving from rickety, run-down shacks to a three story building that was now being ran as a pharmaceutical company was quite a nice change after all, but Stein couldn't be bothered with such trivial details; he had something far more interesting to focus his attention on. Standing over the long-dead body of Reiji Sanada, the marital artist who tried his luck at defeating the psycho and failed, tests had to be done. The boy was arrogant and overconfident, but he was a near perfect physical specimen with, from what the doctor observed, no physical augmentation. It was astounding to say the least, a normal human reaching such a limit, enough to even keep up and wound someone like himself. Luckily the arm that was blown to bits during their fight had all by regenerated now, only missing a few fingers at this point which, in a few more moments, would regenerate as well.
The scalpel in Steins good hand turned into nothing more than a streak of silver light as it was rushed over the body in a blur, slicing open the chest cavity with superhuman precision and care, guided by superhuman strength and dexterity. How long had it been since he'd done a proper dissection? Honestly, he couldn't remember, so he didn't ponder on the thought any longer than it took him to form it; disregarding it as fast as it came up. The Doctor lifted his damaged hand and observed the regrowth of the fingers, he could see the cells going to work on the damaged tissue, and his internal damage that was also received had been healed on the trip, but he felt there was still more he could do with them. The last of his fingers regrew, albeit slower than he wanted, before he went to work on the corpse. Prying open the large incision he'd made with his bare hands before carefully removing the ribs, far from any delicate way a normal doctor would go about the process; he simple broke them each with a quick jab before removing them and tossing them into a pan beside the body before beginning his examination of why and how this boy got to be so fit. |

| Entering from the lobby ------------------------ The accountant was rather fidgety and never maintained eye contact for two long with Tanith who decided she would lounge against the wall of the elevator with her hands in her overcoat. To the untrained eye it may have been because she wasn't comfortable around Tanith, however Tanith saw through it for what it was. It had something to do with the person they were going to meet, perhaps she was too young and inexperienced for this job. In any case, from professional to a professional, Tanith would have to point it out to Check if the two ever met. However something in the air, even got to Tanith, whatever it was it was something she had not experienced before. As the elevator doors beeped and came open, Tanith's eyes flicked up to the display to check what floor this was for future reference.
She stepped out and was given directions down the end of the lab, before leaving Zeresa heard something about getting more employees to do this directing crap spoken under the accountants breath. As she got closer to the door at the end of the hallway, the sound of of footsteps and the systematic and yet swift swish of metal of organic material became more apparent. Something about this sound calmed her, perhaps it was the years she had spent dissecting the supernatural and humans alike. Most definitely, but that was a thought for another time. She knew she could be polite and wait for whoever it was to finish, she knew she'd get pissed off if anyone came barging in uninvited, but this wasn't her. The creak of the door was the only sound of Tanith entering, as she closed the door behind her and beheld the sight with an amused smile. |

| Major surgery to the thoracic cavity, such as open heart surgery, required the delicate task of removing the ribs to allow access to the organ being operated on. Delicate had long since left Steins vocabulary when it came to operations, especially on a dead man. The Doctors fist made impact with the dead martial artist's exposed ribs, following a loud "crack", before he forcibly ripped out the third one, then a forth, and then a fifth; each time tossing the removed bone into the pan with a clatter. He was different to any normal person by far, even comparable to one of those special people on the superhero shows who could do extraordinary things, and from looks of his internal organs he was extremely healthy. The madman moved a bloodied hand to his chin as he looked the corpse over. Perhaps it was possible to reach beyond human levels of capability with only raw training, but the amount of time he had to of put into it would have been murder.
The creak of his lab door opening caused his eye to twitch in sight annoyance, pulling him from his examination of a subject that was one in peak condition; a rare find and not easily obtained. He turned a half step, glancing over his shoulder at the woman now standing before him with his scalpel still in hand, the light reflecting from the right lens of his glasses. He'd never seen her before, but the question of why she was told the direction of his office came to mind. He knew the receptionist was useless the moment Check hired her, but to know she was this incompetent was just mind boggling; people weren't supposed to know he was here after all.

| The loud repetitive cracking brought Drogomir out of his drug induced haze. Blearily, he glanced around his surroundings. He was in a wooden chair, hands tied behind its back with a rough hempen rope. The raw feeling as he twisted his wrists informed him that they had been tied for quite some time. Biting back the taste of bile in his throat, the Chechen winces at yet another loud crack. His bloodshot eyes narrow as his vision finally focuses on the mad doctor prying ribs out of some poor dead man's chest cavity. Oh yes. Now he remembered.
It hadn't been the swiftest trip from Scotland. He had attempted several unsuccessful escape attempts. After the third one, someone finally got sick of his antics and converted him from traveller to luggage. And now here he was, a rat in a cage in the laboratory of some sick scientist who enjoyed prying bones from lifeless corpses. It was like Russia twenty years ago all over again. He sighs quietly, slowly rotating his wrists around, trying to find some weakness in the bonds. The act was purely instinctual. Truth be told, much of Drogomir's will to escape had left him after getting drop kicked by Eliska. It wasn't that he was terribly surprised by her betrayal. No, he knew far better than to trust someone at this point in his life.
In truth, the assassin was weary. He was tired of pain, tired of misery, tired of choosing to feel nothing so that he might save himself from the pit that was his life. He rests his chin on his chest, greasy black hair falling in front of his dull eyes. His hands continued on their quest to find the trick for release, but the man cared nothing for the success. Soon he would likely take the place of the corpse on the table. Maybe, with luck, the mad scientist would find it intriguing to snap out his ribs. And then he could finally be rid of this weary world.

| Gaius grinned at the Chechen; he had developed a hatred for the weak man in their time together. He was a man that showed disdain for the Russian race that had allowed his pathetic people to join the Union, he should have shown more respect. But now Gaius was going to have fun watching him squirm, he left his room after getting his things sorted. “Chechen, Drogomir, whatever your name is" he said with exasperation “you’re weak yet you carry on showing defiance, you might as well just shoot yourself if you think this will earn yourself favours” He gave that piece of advice before going to the newcomer, he flexed slightly as he prepared for a possible battle. “Want me to take care of her Stein-Man?” he said expressionlessly. His bandaged and dead eyes saw nothing, yet his ears were hard to deceive. The Ex-soldier was never a fan of random people coming close to him, and right now he was willing to destroy her with a twitch.
“Just give the word and I kill her Stein” he shrugged, a hand on his knife as he lent against the wall. |

| Well, this was just as cute as a bag full of puppies. Oh wait. There was a puppy in the room. A Russian one. Tsking to herself, she enters the room and takes a moment to stare at all involved.
A mad scientist. Check.
A mad scientist's pet dog. Check.
A new person who seemed less that honest. Check.
A Chechen.
That last one was the one she was interested in. She gave not two shits abotu the rest of these bastards, and couldn't care any less about what they had going on behind these closed lab doors. The sane scientist, the one who'd brought down the Chechen, had sent her to do whatever she pleased until he called for her. Not a bad set-up, as she is allowed free room, money, cigarettes, and terrible alcohol; certainly not the worse she'd ever had.
She had come in on the tail end of what the pup was saying to the assassin, and she can't help the mixture of huff and frown that appears on her face. Stalking past him, barely making a sound in her steel-toed boots, she slapped his broad, "flexing" back, and couldn't bring herself to break a smile.
"Fuckin' moskal. Useless fuckin' swine in wool."
The Ukrainian doesn't stop to see or hear his reaction, doesn't particularly care, and slaps a hand down on the shoulder of the Chechen. Hoisting him to his feet, she shuffles him to the door, ignoring everything and everyone else in the room, intent on not being a part of anything else in the group aside from the odd power she'd been promised by the mad man. So out the door they went, her with her hands on the ropes binding the man in front of her.

| gomir doesn't even respond to the Russian werewolf. Words were water and all Russians were pigs. Instead, he stared down at the cracked floor, dull eyes peering through lank locks at the stained ground. He gladly fell into the depths of non-thought, allowing his mind to empty. Thus, it was quite the surprise when the woman's hand clamped down on his shoulder. Drogomir twitched in surprise, but gave up no fight as she yanked him to his feet.
For possibly the first time in his confinement, the Chechen doesn't fight his captor. Instead, he drags his feet in the direction the woman pushes him, his scarred face blank as he hides behind his shroud of greasy black hair.

| Her eyes shifted mutely across the room taking everything in, she ignored the guy in the chair, she ignored the person dealing with the guy in the chair and was forced to acknowledge the disparate and utterly rude blind guy. The person she was interested was the one across the room at least being polite and asking her who she was, or rather a cheesy attempt at asking her. She looked the one in front of her up and down and disregarded him with a wave. Almost immediately her plan had changed with the poorly thrown promise of death. "You threaten me again and I'll make you live to regret it", she promised with a blank stare before turning toward Stein again. It wasn't hard to notice the man on sight, there was a few people looking for him after the 'hospital' incidents. Immediately her plan changed again, she had meant to be in and out today but the show of a criminal and all the fuss going on in the room had drawn her in and seemed much more alluring than a 24 hour plus ride back to the states.
"Me?" Tanaith gestured to herself with her free hand while her other held the lid closed on the bottle in her coat pocket. Her face was a serene mask as she looked at him dead on, reading between the lines, getting as much as she could with his posture and such. "Well I'm just interested and curious, would you like to skip to the introductions?", her response no doubt would irritate him but it gave her time to think about how she would go about this. Her facial features never changed with the response, rather, waited for everyone else to react that was present. |

| Stein ignored the ruckus of his assistants entering and leaving the room, and Gaius's words fell on deft ears. His attention was focused on the woman before him and the movement of her hand in her pocket. He looked her over with a somewhat dulled interest; taking note of her body language, tone of her voice and speech patterns, her reaction to Gaius's threat, and took a special mental note of the aura of confidence clung to her. Reading people was easy for Stein, both in a physical and mental aspect; observing a subject and getting a feel for their behavior was key to dissecting them. He had to admit though; this woman seemed far more interesting that he had originally thought.
Turning to fully face her with his blood-stained self, Stein lowered his free hand into his pocket; keeping the one with his scalpel in its grasp by his side, a side-long glance being shot toward the Russian Lycan that was now in his charge.
"Quiet... We cant afford to be as reckless as we used to be. We have normal employees now, this isn't a slaughter house."
That being said, his gaze fell back on the woman and her pocket, the light once again reflecting off the right lens of his glasses as he adjusted them with his index finger. "Interests and curiousness are both things I can appreciate and understand, but only when they're beneficial. I'll let introductions slide, for the moment, if you tell me what you want..."

| Gaius frowned slightly as he walked past the woman and stood just to the left of Stein; with a smile at the woman he felt nothing. Her attempts to stir anger in the Russian were pointless; he didn’t feel such base emotions. So with an ingratiating smile and his head eyes staring out the ex-soldier, arms down by his sides his face was a picture of joy. While on the inside he pictured killing the intruder in various ways, security in this place was paramount and he nodded hearing Stein’s description of their situation and having to be careful. “Very well Stein-Man, I will be sure to not cause trouble,” he said, he could no longer be bothered to try and keep an English accent so his light Russian accent deepened. There was no point in deception, the people here knew him well enough by now so as to make the act pointless. If the woman missed the purpose of the smile he’d be surprised, though she seemed fragile Gaius kept wary. Women could be tricky, especially the clever strange ones who’s abilities and powers you did not know. |

| OOC-bottle is inside the coat...concealed...what you guys should see is her right hand in her pocket ----------------------- Tanith never moved from her spot, keeping the blind one in the corner of her eye while giving Stein a calculating stare, much like the one he was giving her. At the last moment she looked away, instead looking around the lab as if taking in all the details and genuinely enjoying herself. All this was just another facade however, to keep the one in the lab coat talking. She seemed to ignore his hands moving slowly and the sadistic looking smile that came from the blind one. She smiled in turn after moving a couple of paces to the left. "I want a gigantic laboratory with plenty of subjects and no one to bother me, as for what I'm doing here..." glancing back at Stein from the book case she had randomly been looking at, "...which I'm sure you were about to ask me of course". She winked at Stein in a knowing way as if in some weird sense it would reassure him, "I've got a favour to ask". She winked again with a little more coldness as her face went blank again. ------ OOC-short post is short but does its job |

| He didn't like her, then again he didn't necessarily "like" anyone so that wasn't saying much. He couldn't help but feel something was off, but when was something ever "on" when he was involved? The woman was interesting to try and read, but that was about it. How many people has he catered to when they wanted something? A few, a very few, and they all had something they could offer him to further his own goals, that's why they were alive; either as assistants or test subjects, or both. He couldn't help but quick a brow at the woman's words. Normally this would be the part where he dived across the lab, rammed a scalpel into her abdomen, and dissected her alive; but as said before he had to be more careful now.
"I want a lot of things, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get them. Asking a favor of someone you've just met has a very high probability of failure."

| Gaius felt his inner daemons scream with intent, he wanted to kill something, he wanted to feed this woman’s entrails to her. Yet he had to obey Stein now if he wanted to get stronger, and what he said was what he did at least as long as Stein was giving good orders. Gaius didn’t care who called the shots much, as long as he had his independence and had to the chance to grow and learn about his affliction he was fine. He hummed an old Russian nursery rhyme quietly under his breath, the name of it and the words had left him long ago with nothing but the tune. While he had been a child his mother had sung it to him, whether they were in an icy cold field or on the move through the mountains. Life had been tough, yet they’d endured. Gaius would endure now; he locked away his inner daemons and their calls for blood. Emotions were rare in him, and to experience a lust that strong was unusual. What is happening to me? he thought with a little uneasy grimace, he couldn’t keep everything at bay for long. That would mean going back to his room if the urges got stronger, he had to retain the Doctor’s trust. |

| Tanith, all funny games aside scowled at Stein. "If you didn't want to know what I wanted then don't ask me", she gripped the bottle in an attempt to hold back her anger at how stupid the two of them looked, one was asking her questions that could mean a lot of things while the other one dealt with inner troubles probably dating back to a childhood of beatings. She did however notice the constant sniffing that came from the man, a theory materialized in her head as she stared at him and pieced things together. Remembering where she was at the current time, she glanced back at Stein now awaiting an acknowledgement. "Ah, but there are certain socially accepted exemptions to that rule now isn't there Stein?" Tanith waggled a finger in front of her face childishly. |

| Stein's gazed turned dull, and void of emotion as the woman spoke. Beating around the bush was annoying, and this woman was quickly eroding what little bit of self-control he had left. The psycho, in light of this new found force eating away at the very fragile pillars keeping him from collapsing into another rage of wanting to dissect everyone in the building, removed his pack of cigarettes and pulled one out of the pack with his teeth. Utterly ignoring the woman for the briefest moment it took to place the pack down next to the corpse on the table and light it, the madman moved it to the corner of his mouth as he inhaled.
"On the contrary... He paused a moment, exhaling a large cloud of the toxic smoke from his lips, letting it drift out over his face. "I'm interested in what you want, its the only reason you're still here, but a "want" doesn't always equal "gain". In others words; want from me all you want, that doesn't mean you'll get it unless I see a good reason for it."
Stein turned his head, cracking his neck in various spots to loosen the tension he was feeling in his body. The effects of being thrown through his own wall of the previous lab hadn't quite left him yet, and a bit of the internal damage was still being recovered from, but luckily it was being dealt with quickly enough for it to not be a major problem. Placing the coffin nail between his middle and ring ringer, the madman removed it only for a brief second, he gaze returning to the odd woman who waggled her finger like child.
"There are always exceptions under the right circumstances." |

| Her smile turned back to a scowl yet again, this one interested her to no end but he was making himself sound a dolt. Perhaps just a facade, she merely shrugged of her expression innocently as if it hadn't even been there. "I never asked you for anything dear Stein", she smiled sheepishly as she retreated a few steps to the right, closer to Gaius. "You do however have something that I might find interesting", she glanced over at Gaius for the merest of moments, no head movement but she was sure Stein would see her eye movement. ------- OOC-again, short post is short but does its job |

| This woman was starting to get on what little nerves he had left, indicated by how quickly the coffin nail had been burnt up and the almost constant stream of smoke flowing out of the corner of his mouth. Granted, such a thing wasn't all that big of an accomplishment, Steins patience was only comparable to a Gods when related to scientific topics of interest, but people who never got to the point they were trying to make almost always met the other end of his scalpel. Very few even lasted as long as this woman had without getting dissected mid-sentence for being too slow to the point.
A quick turn of his head sent the cancer stick flying from his loosely closed lips and off to the floor to his left, leaving a trail of ash in its wake before burning out at the filter, the psychos eyes falling back on the woman infront of him a mere second later; catching her glance at Gaius with a dull look on his face. The woman was an odd sort, and maybe that's why he got the vibe he was getting, though he still had no idea what she was trying accomplish. She said she never asked him for anything, yet moments ago stated she had a favor to ask. Either she was a dunce who easily lost track of what she previously said or she was trying stretch out the encounter for longer than necessary.
This realization brought his attention to Gaius whom the woman had just glanced at.
Interesting..? Now, there's thought... He highly doubted that the woman knew what Gaius was, but it was still something he took note of.
"Gaius, you can leave now." A shadow fell over his face, blocking out the entire right side where only the light reflecting from his glasses shown through. He would wait for the lycan to leave before turning his attention back toward Tanith.
"There now, you can get to the point of your little visit..." |

| Gaius walked off without a word as Stein sent him away; he didn’t care about their encounter as long as he wasn’t affected by it. The werewolf went straight to his room and closed the door, he felt slightly sleepy and the concerns of the everyday had become less and less important to him. “Call me in the unlikely event of you needing me Stein man” he said as he shut the door.

| Tanith blinked in mock surprise as Gaius calmly walked out the door, now that the brainless muscle had left the room she felt a little more calm if that was even possible. "Well now, I did have a differing point to this little visit before I came in here, but now a feel a little more than what it appears is going on here, I was hoping you could enlighten me on the finer details, for simply no other reason than what I now possess 'Stein Matthus'", she made a point to emphasize the last two words as if he might get the point then slid her other hand into her pocket as if she felt a chill. It was merely outward signs that she couldn't give a crap what Stein thought of her for her questions or prying into things that clearly didn't concern her. "Being that as it may, we can come to some sort of agreement without no one being the wiser can't we?" |

| Stein's eye twitched at the mention of his full name, also catching the emphasis she placed on it. Now, this was generally the part where he would have sped across the room in a blur, flicked his scalpel, and cut the woman's throat open to give the walls a new coat of paint before giving her a rent-free stay in one of his freezers. He didn't need publicity, and while it maybe have been obvious his name didn't have much attention in France due him having just arrived, gossip carried along way and he didn't need rumors being started; especially by this woman who seemed to know more than she was letting on.
She was treading on thin ice, VERY thin ice, and from the looks of it she knew it and didn't care. He paused a moment, putting together pieces he'd collected in observing this woman in the short time she'd been here. She looked and sounded American, and he had held a scalpel and syringe long enough to notice when someone else was acquainted with their use as well, so she was most likely involved in some sort of medical field or fancied using unorthodox tools for daily purposes, the latter being highly unlikely.
"Enlighten you on the finer details of... what, exactly? I'm part of a medical company, nothing more... But, while we're on the topic of enlightening one another, perhaps you could do the same for me. I agreed to skip formalities, but that was with the thought of both of us being unknown to each other. You've said my name several times, and I don't have the faintest idea as to who you are. So," He paused, using his index finger to move his glasses up upon his nose, letting a glare peer through the lenses, his voice taking on a more serious and dark undertone, "before I cut you into parts and put you in the freezer for 'trespassing', lets start with your name and how exactly you know me." |

| The eye twitch in response to his name was all Tanith needed to know she had succeeded and he was ready. She glanced back at the door to make sure it was shut properly, it was, her childish smile came back to her face as much as she tried covering her mouth to hide it as Stein finally spoke what she'd been waiting for. "If, you're implying that I may want to tell you my name now, you'd be sorely mistaken", she spoke without a hint of amusement and her tone, ignoring the threat she'd just recieved. "You and I both know you aren't just...'part of this'", Zeresa made a gesture with her arms that allowed the bottle to topple out of her pocket and shatter along the floor, the contents spreading even as far as the door from her position.
She muttered under her breath as if it had been an accident, taking care to make it sound as honest as possible. She bent down over the remains still at her feet, she had no doubt that it would go through her system and Stein's within a matter of seconds but keeping that a secret for as long as needed wouldn't be too hard. Tanith used the movement to keep her other hand hidden as it went into her handbag to grasp what she was after. Still looking like she was attempting to clean it up... |

| OOC: Auto-hit allowed by Tanith. ----------------------------------
This time his wrist twitched at the woman's response, his fingers flexing as he casually lifted both of his hands and tossed the bloody scalpel from his right and into his left hand, a small giggle escaping his lips as if he were a child; his gaze now toward the floor as he began to do a mental breakdown of the woman from all he'd seen up till this point.
Let's see if I can put together the puzzle... She's confident from observation and is far too at ease while alone in the same room with me despite apparently knowing who I am. She's an Interesting one. On to the body.. Lithe figure, fair skin. Estimated weight: 132-145lbs, estimated height: around 5'8-5'9".
This was going on in Steins head after the bottle shattered on the floor, paying little attention to its possible contents along with inhaling whatever the vapors were before... Ah, it happened... There it went; 'poof'd' like a magical fuckin' genie who just gave one lucky bastard his 3rd wish. The last nerve that was holding back Stein in check had just committed suicide by throwing itself into the biological equivalent of what could only be described as a furnace; whatever that might've been. His mind wasn't working right at the moment, then again it never was, so to hell with trying to describe it; talking obviously wasn't getting him anywhere so, his body that was once standing as stiff as a statue, lost in thought, had suddenly blurred.
Bolting across the room with superhuman levels of speed and finesse, the scalpel in his left hand had all but been discarded; tossed carelessly aside as his right hand shot forward at a downward angle, his palm clasping around the bent-down woman's throat and forcibly lifting her to her feet before the forward momentum of his rush pushed her against the door with a loud "bang!". The psychos other hand lifted up before his face, his fingers flexing as yellow-green sparks began dancing along his palm at a rapid rate; a deranged smile now torn across his face.
"What should I pull out first?! Tongue? Throat? Hehehe..hahaah!" A slightly out of tune giggle escaped his lips as he spoke, obviously being let by another one of his urges instead of anything else. |

| Tanith caught the whispers of Stein's clothing before his first step impacted with the ground, she was already ready, she had been since the start of this little talk. With a quick gesture of her index and middle fingers, she flicked of the last piece of casing off the end of the syringe. Her hand moved to sit beside the bag just as Stein's hand enclosed her throat that provided no resistance, if anything she helped by pushing off the ground slightly to avoid any more hurt than what she was going to go through. Zeresa's breathing escaped her as her back found something solid, by the loud clatter of a door on hinges it didn't take luck to guess it was the door she had been smashed into.
She forced her breathing to become calm even as she noticed where her right hand was, the merest of centimeters away from the syringe which was now plunged deep into his abdomen. She thrust forward with her hand in order to expunge all the contents from the cylinder. It was about at this time that she felt a tap on her thigh, a quick glance told her it was nothing but the contents of the bottle already working their way through her system. Tanith seemed intrigued as to the effects on the psychotic, but otherwise remained seemingly docile. "Lost it already Stein?", Tanith done a little school girl giggle as she imagined the results that the syringe might produce if Stein got anymore effected by her words. |

| The fact that he had been impaled with a syringe registered with Stein a fair bit differently than it would with most others. Standard procedure with ordinary folk was to freak out about what they'd just been pumped full of and complain about the throbbing pain one would feel from having a syringe stabbed into their abdomen at such a speed; these traits were not among Stein. Immune to pain and pretty much any other form of harm due to his regeneration, his take on the situation was a quick glance downward at the woman's hand before turning his gaze back to meet hers; thinking it nothing more than a cheap attempt at defending herself from an attacker. Pitiful, if that's what it truly was, even if the needle contained poison it wasn't something he'd show any signs of distress over.
"'Already'? You're a little late to that party. Its time to add another missing person's section to the newspapers!'
The psycho pulled his left hand back, palm still open and covered in sparks dancing across his skin. However, the blurred palm thrust that would have likely splattered the woman's head and painted the door a new shade of red was stopped a mere inch away from her face as Steins head abruptly turned to face over his shoulder, having felt a powerful push against his body's lower back as if someone had physically made contact with him. His mind could have been playing tricks on him, like it always had. Feeling things, hearing things, and even seeing things were all normal for Stein, but this felt different than his otherwise dubbed "insanity fits". |

| Tanith's breath escaped her as she came moments from the next wall paint, she almost slumped from the sheer effort it had required to keep a straight face. The slump ended up in a half stagger as she kicked Stein behind his knee. Using the minor distraction she grabbed everything and quietly walked out, leaving Stein to his devices. She half expected at the very least for him to come crashing out of the room after her to confront her again. She knew that with someone on the brink such as that would feel the drop into full paranoia most. She felt slight touches the length of her body, some stronger than most, but she forced herself to keep it together and left without saying another word. -------------------- Exit to limbo for now |

| The cold flood now pressed against the madman's back, his body sprawled out on the tile with his gaze staring absentmindedly toward the ceiling. He was on the floor. Wait, why the hell was he on the floor? Oh, right... That woman hit him behind the knee when he was distracted, thats why he was like this. Oddly enough, all interest in tearing the woman apart faded as something much more interesting caught his attention. The ceiling was moving, the walls seeming to melt and distort into numerous symbol's made up of three vertical eyes all around the room, with a much larger trio looking down at him.
Stein was absolutely fascinated by this display, like a child taking it's first trip ever to an amusement park. Seeing strange shit was a normal occurrence for him, that much was true, but nothing of this scale had ever happened. In combination with these odd hallucinations he felt several forces press upon his body from various angles, but no physical body was present to create them. A skittering caught his ear and out of the corner of his eye he saw yet another interesting creation of his deranged mind.
Standing on three legs were a pair of vertical eyes, lacking any actual body and only being the size of a small mouse. Utterly intrigued, Stein rolled onto his left side and outstretched his right hand, reaching toward it with a twitch. He didn't know what the hell was happening, maybe he had literally gone over the edge this time and his sanity was finally swallowed by his psychosis, but he didn't care. He was enjoying it! An ear-to-ear smile cut across his face as his hand slammed down on the three-legged eye creature which vanished the moment after.
Along with the creature he had crushed, the floor he was laying on disappeared along with it. Suddenly dropping into a black void with nothing more than hundreds of vertical eyes and snake-like apparitions around him. It was at this point in time where he couldn't hold it in any longer, a sudden and loud cackle of deranged laughter escaping his lips as he fell into the abyss. He learned long ago that this was all just a product of his unstable mind, but it still mystified him to no end just how broken he was. Looking down at the quickly approaching substance below him that resembled water, he threw his arms out wide before the impact, disappearing with a splash.
His eyes shot open a moment later, revealing he was still laying on the lab floor and that all of it was, indeed, a product of his mind; though he was still looking directly at the three large vertical eyes holding their place on the ceiling. Obviously it wasn't over yet. Sitting up with a slight chuckle here and there, his hand placed over his face with the other against the floor, Stein began to ponder what he would see next. What creation his mind would throw at him. It truly amused him to no end.

| Enter from Gaius' kennel ------------------------- He had been walking aimlessly for only a few minutes when he heard the sudden deranged cackle he'd heard so many times before echo through the halls, but then it fell silent. He could not help but have his curiosity eat away at him. Surely the monster inside of him was not awake this soon since being here. 'Thought they had an agreement or something', Serin thought to himself. Surely he hadn't happened across another discovery that made him want to exclaim it to every living soul within 10ft of him in the most horrific way possible...
Either way, Serin wanted to find out how the line, that kept him from dropping into the dark cesspool of his insanity, had snapped.
Walking the halls with his hands deep in his pockets, Serin cocked his head to the side every now and then for the odd sound or two. True, he didn't know his way around yet, but his hearing had never been faulty. Following the source, it only took him a few more minutes to come to Stein's door. He stopped barely a metre from the entrance before looking up and down the hallway, no one. So whatever it was had to be inside or long gone, Serin hoped for the former, his curiosity always wanting a front row seat on these sorts of things. The door creaked open to reveal the doctor lying on the floor finding something in that head of his thoroughly amusing.
In some twisted way Serin wanted to know, in the other, more rational part of his mind, he wanted to fix this now before things got ugly. He wasn't sure on what Elden might have in place if something happened with Stein, but he sure as hell didn't want to find out, knowing their current situation and position with the public. Serin never doubted for a second that if things happened, this whole laboratory, failing that, this whole complex could come down if Stein went through an episode before anyone had a chance to do anything. The door creaked just as eerily shut as it had been opened, a solid thud as it closed, one that he was sure would grab his companion's attention at least. "Was wondering how long it might take you...", Serin remarked with a rather bored expression on his face.

| Why did it suddenly start? It must've had something to do with what that woman injected him with, there was no other explanation. He had been able to keep his urges in check since Scotland, so unless he was losing his ability to maintain a grip on reality then Tanith was the cause. He'd make sure to tear her apart with no questions asked if he saw her again, she was fascinating after all. Glancing around the room with shaky eyes, the doctor could see anything else changing; all else seemed to be back to normal aside from the large eyes still in the ceiling, so maybe he was fighting he way out of these false constructs his mind kept creating.
The moment he heard the door creak open caused him to cast an almost paranoid glance from between his fingers toward what had entered. What was it? What was it?! The beginning of another "trip"? The goblin he'd seen so many times but had yet to dissect? Or perhaps it was the blond woman again coming back for some reason. Everyone knew that wouldn't turn out well....for her. Sadly, it wasn't any of them, it was Serin. When was the last time he'd spoken with his twisted assistant? Did it matter? Probably not. Serin had shown similar symptoms to Steins own mental condition, the only other reason he kept the boy around aside from examining how his body adapted to his mutation was because he was curious how he'd turn out.
"Ah, Serin...." Steins voice was cracked and shaky as he slowly rose to his feet, still throwing paranoid glances around the room. "How..long it would take me to what...?" |

| His eyes quickly scanned the room for whatever had been entertaining Stein, but no definitive result there. He saw a few fragments of glass here and there, but didn't think much of it. What had it been, perhaps if he knew what it was he could come up with something to counter it. He still hadn't learnt to enjoy it or embrace it, as Stein had suggested nor did he even want to, let alone go through another of those moments. Serin merely passed it off as something of a chain reaction to recent events, a psychotic could only go through so many changes before he or she snapped. As if to reassure himself, he silently nodded to himself, hands still deep in his pockets and standing rather still.
"To let loose...have any visitors lately?", Serin quizzed as if it might answer a few questions he may have had, but he was sure Stein would be somewhat obsessive over that information and didn't depend on the answer that would come.
Stein's rather skittish glances around the room put Serin at ease, creepily enough, if he'd been calm and cool it would have set him on edge. It meant that Stein mightn't be as prone to launching himself across the room and attempting another dissection that had happened a while ago now. Not that Serin would care in the slightest, it might even fix his itch to dissect something himself. Though with Elden's serious attitude since coming here, Serin had remained in line until he got the go ahead to experiment. Hopefully it would remain that way for some time, he was dubious about how long that would last for though.
Appearing rather lazy, Serin propped himself up on the small bookcase lining the side of the lab. After all, it appeared Stein wasn't doing anything at the current time, aside from dealing with a mental breakdown of sorts. So they may as well do something that amused them...to some degree. "My cells took your experiment without a hitch, even done a few things the file didn't have planned in its results. I know I'm a little late but I added the files onto your hard drive for reference, saves me the trouble of giving you every little detail at once", Serin gestured to the computer with a slightly amused expression. It was the first time since the Edinburgh situation that he had actually been able to talk to Stein, and this was his choice of topic of all things. He couldn't help the amusement he found...

| Stein was edgy, waiting for some construct of his mind to appear before him so he could lash out at it. They amused and intrigued him to no end, but at times they were rather...annoying. They were always out of his reach, safe from the edge of his scalpel. Moving both of his hands up to cover his face, Stein listened to Serin's voice in the background, his eyes shifting to various corners of the room from between his spread fingers. Why were they out of reach? He could feel them, he could see them, he could even hear them! Yet they always managed to slip away. Annoying...so very annoying.
"Let loose....visitors?" Stein spoke without any feeling in his voice, more like a whisper of sorts, simply repeating what he had heard. His idea of letting loose was experimenting, the scientific arts, things he did on a daily bases and had no control over. Visitors... Yes, he did have one now that he thought about it, a blond haired woman. Where did she go again? Ah, she left, far out of his scalpels reach. How...annoying.
The mention of his previous experiment with Serin seemed to snap him back into reality, his hands lowering to his side as he turned to face his white haired assistant. Truth be told, Stein could still see the imprint of three eyes on the ceiling above them, but it was slowly fading; flashing in and out of sight, but luckily everything seemed to have lost its hold on the psycho. Science was his true interest, everything - and he meant everything - took second place to it.
You've overcome the drawbacks then? How well can you maintain the control over it?" |

| <---- Resnik's Quarters
The knob on the door was cool in Drogomir's palm. It grounded him to the here and now. His strange encounter with the Ukrainian woman was already forgotten, but for the pain in his abdomen when the couple cracked ribs grated around uncomfortably. He spun his ax in a smooth arc, enjoying the weight and balance. It was kind of her to return his ax. Perhaps, on that day when he killed her, he would make her death swift in repayment.
He didn't know what was on the other side of the door. He could vaguely hear muted voices. Two individuals. It would be more difficult with two, but now was always better than later. Slowly, oh so slowly, he turns the knob and pushes the door open. Without pause, he steps in, ax hanging loosely in his grasp. The corner of his lip turns up as he takes in Stein and his companion. "Gentlemen." He doesn't approach yet. He wants to see if this person talking with Stein has any interest in fighting. Better for him if he doesn't, but he needs to know before he attacks...

| Serin's amused smile dimmed a little, Stein really was going through something, that was until he mentioned the control. Something clicked in him, better for Serin in a way, he held a little more of his attention. "Most drawbacks, there are still minor pains when used for a prolonged amount of time and quantity in which it is being used is important as well. Nothing that can't be handled effectively however", he was actually enjoying himself, perhaps this hadn't been the worst choice of topic. However, Serin's amusement was still there, "All the protrusion points mentioned work perfectly and to the assumed or desired length, nothing beyond 5 feet in length".
All this talk was making Serin giddy, though some part of him was throwing up at what he'd become, wanting nothing more than for everything to end, a small voice...no hold with him whatsoever. "The control has become almost indefinite, from my year away I was able to...understand what the control needs, and how much calcium is required to-", being interrupted by the axe man wasn't something that the 'other Serin' took too well. There was a part of him that wanted nothing more than to lauch across the room and rip him limb from limb, there was another part that respected Stein's decision to keep this test subject. The scowl Serin's face had turned to quickly turned back to an amused, innocent smile, as if the other facial expression had never been there.
If the axe man was smart, he would have seen it, if he was smarter, he would realise that one wrong move could make Serin snap. His eyes lowered to the axe in the man's grasp, hands still deep in his pockets, he didn't seem to take the threat of such a weapon seriously...perhaps because he didn't need to...he'd had worse try to cut him and fail. "Not even close..." Serin remarked on the guy's only comment, his chuckle went through his body, almost forcing Serin to move his hands to stop himself from falling of his perch. The laughter stopped short however as he turned to Stein to watch his reaction, the next few moments would dictate what was about to happen.

| Stein took in every detail as his assistant explained them, making mental notes left and right and memorizing them. This was interesting. He had finally adapted to his mutation, finally gained control over it without suffering from the exhaustion it first placed on him. Perhaps he was ready for an upgrade, perhaps he was adapted enough to try and push his mutation to the next level? Would it be possible? What wasn't possible with science? Stein chuckled a bit at the mental conversation he had with himself about the topic.
The idea was appealing, especially to the psycho who was Stein, as well was the general curiousity about what it would lead to. Would Serin die from it? Unlikely, but an amusing thought. Would his body reject the further mutated gene? Also unlikely, but possible, and the idea of the boy losing his mutation over something so trivial was entertaining.
Ignoring the feeling of being touched on various points of his body, though some received a shiver or a twitch in response, Taniths drug still had its hold on him, and by now he had debunked it was either his downright insanity or related it to the syringe that woman had stabbed him with. How he'd enjoy showing her the proper use of a scalpel. Stein got a bit sidetracked with the thought, but only for a moment before he tossed it and the appealing blond womans image to the back of his deranged mind before a large grin tore across his face.
Various things began to change again, but he managed to maintain his focus; ignoring the writing that appeared on the walls behind Serin that spelled out various commands and suggestions, things along the lines of "Do it!" or "Dissect!", as if beckoning him to just submit. But doing such a thing would be a waste, especially if he did it without any control. Serin was far to valuable a subject to tear apart needlessly.
However, the mental teasing came to a halt as the door opened and revealed a familiar figure. The Chechen....
Tilting his head to the side to let a grotesque, nearly inhuman pop sound from his neck, Stein's eyes fell to the ax in his hand. The scientists cracked smile was all but gone, his eyes now widening as his pupils shrunk in derangement. An ax. An ax? A worthless weapon in the scientist's eyes. It couldn't be used for the delicate work he did, the blade was too large to cut precisely and the head was too heavy to be held steady enough to undertake such a task. He preferred scalpels.... Scalpels which appeared in Steins hand from his sleeve with a mere flick of his wrist the moment the man entered the room - three of the pristine, steel tools held firmly between his fingers.
"You... I forgot all about you.. Are you in that much of a hurry to feel the edge of my scalpels...?" |

| He wanted to fling his blade and split those deranged eyes. The desire was nearly overpowering, but instead of loosing his weapon, the Chechen spins it lazily. He takes one slow controlled step, then another, shutting the door softly behind him. His pale eyes gazed dispassionately at the gleaming blades between the crazed scientist's fingers. "It takes more than skill to kill with such small blades. Do you intend to dissect me, Doctor?"
He smiles darkly, slowly moving farther into the room, his movement almost feline in its grace. His dull gaze takes in the madman sitting near the doctor, but the man was nothing more than a distraction, though, perhaps, a dangerous one. He looked like a man with a finger on a trigger, though whether pulling that trigger would lead to him attacking, or simply falling into some inescapable form of insanity, Drogomir wasn't sure. Like clockwork, his blade spins, spins, then stops, and resumes in the opposite direction. It was clear that the Chechen was one with his blade, though whether that would make a difference remained to be seen.

| OOC-sorry for the wait ----------------------- Eyes, seemingly registering nothing and yet everything, Serin watched with rapt attention as Stein drew out scalpels and the axe man closed the door and came ever closer. Though clearly not in his direction, it all seemed so natural and common that Serin's mind told him to ignore the activity going on between the two and go back to reporting to Stein. Without a doubt, Serin would waste no time in crossing the distance and tearing him apart...had he cared in the slightest. "To put it simply, the whole thing was a success. Minor side effects were overcome within the first few weeks", his stare never left the chechen, waiting for the first slip up that was bound to occur. Underestimation seemed consistent these days, Kallo had no reason to believe otherwise.
He noted the ease in which the man handled the axe in his hand, practiced...months? no...years? perhaps. It made Serin's curiosity spark, perhaps Stein's disinterest in observing the man under a more peaceful situation was misplaced, maybe even influenced. Not exactly like Stein's curiosity had failed in the past. With things shifting about in his head, Serin merely watched the events unfold.

| Common sense, this Chechen had none. That much was apparent to the psycho who stood before him. Not only did he ask a stupid question with an obvious answer, but he even advanced within the room. Granted, this man had done quite a number on Check before they left the old lab, but that wasn't impressive given the facts regarding the checkered assistant's mutation, his only perk was acidic blood, not physical enhancement. That being said, it was rather amusing to see him opening expose himself like this.
"Good.." was he only reply toward Serin before popping his neck again, "We can move on to stage two of the experiment after this mess gets sorted. Now, on to you."
His gaze fell back on the ax wielding Chechen, the hand wielding the scalpels lifting before him to let them gleam in the light. "You're not worth dissecting, so I'm going to cut you into pieces instead!" The psycho's arm blurred with its sudden outstretching movement, the scalpels flying from his grasp as nothing more than silver streaks intent on piercing Radic's chest. If, by some chance, his scalpels missed their mark, if this man had more skill than he thought, then maybe he'd be useful, maybe he'd be worth keeping around as an experiment. But until such skill was shown then he was nothing but an annoyance for interrupting. |

| Like little silver darts, the three scalpels hurtled toward the relaxed Chechen. With a blinding speed that somehow seemed almost lazy, Drogomir brought his spinning ax between himself and the tiny blades. With a metallic ting, one scalpel quivered from the ceiling, one lodged in a crack in the floor in front of him, and one twanged into the wall behind him for a moment before dropping with a thunk onto the ground. It was clear the man was quicker than most other humans. The Chechen arches an eyebrow and tsks, pale gaze shining. "Perhaps you could cut me apart with those blades...if I were a mouse."
His gaze kept the still nameless figure in view. He would have launched himself in a counterattack to the madman, but two on one were still terrible odds. He takes another step towards Stein, ax continuing to loop lazily. Just a couple more steps and he would be on the psychopath, ax burying deeply into his flesh. "Come kill me then, Doctor Stein Matthus. Cut me limb from limb. Wash your hands in my blood." Drogomir runs his tongue over his bottom lip. "Or I shall do all this to you."

| Stage two, he'd seen stage two but it didn't seem finished yet, but then that was the way it was with most experiments. Half done until it was applied and the rest was improvised. Serin had done that a few times in the past, he wasn't sure what was going to happen, it drove his curiosity and that is all that kept him going. Through his thick haze of thoughts, Serin was trying to remember if this axe man had anything to do with them. He couldn't remember much from the shack, however he did remember chairs and fire. A few moments later and Serin had it, it wasn't Stein that had kept this one alive, it had been Elden. So why was Elden not here to keep his dog on a leash?
As though in slow motion, Serin watched the three scalpels fly through the air, this man's skill still held Serin in awe, still kept him curious. Though his thoughts were a buzz...confusion here...curiosity there...then there was Radic speaking. He followed every word for some reason, watching as the man came closer to Stein. Kill...Limb from limb...blood, it took every ounce of self control Serin had to not give in. He hissed in frustration and pain as he felt a migraine come on, his right hand now cradling his forehead as he buckled over in his makeshift seat.
"Shutup", it came in barely a whisper and far too late to be in response to Radic. Amusement had turned to pain oh so soon, some part of Serin berated himself for not listening to Stein, if he would've taken the advice from the start there would be no paying for his mistakes with this frustration boiling. Sure there would be a lot more red and people pissed off with Serin, but there would be no arguments with himself and no deliberation. Barely a tone below the one he'd just used, "Shutup", was the only thing said. Serin wasn't even sure who was saying it now, he had just wanted the insistent urges in his head to stop. His headache was pounding so much, he felt his pulse as if it was a nail bouncing off the side of his head...over...and over...and over again.

| They missed? No. They were...deflected? That was something he didn't expect. Never before had anyone deflected them, most chose to dodge, others got hit before they could react, but this man took an amusing approach to things. In fact, he was volunteering to be torn apart! A mad giggle escaped the doctors lips as he took a step forward to match the Chechen in movement, his eyes shining through the black veil cast over his face by his white hair. If this annoyance wanted to test his skills with an ax, then who was Stein to object? The chance of the blade even coming into contact with him was slim, and the fact that it would do any real damage if it did was even slimmer.
Flexing his fingers, Steins body blurring was following by downright insane laughter. Flickering out of view for a brief moment from the sheer speed in which he launched himself across the room, his body was nothing more than a distorted image of white and red which crossed the small gap between himself and the Chechen in the blink of an eye. Rushing the Chechen with all his speed, his right arm was cocked back with his hand open, yellow-green sparks wildly dancing across his finger tips and palm. Punching his palm forward backed with his utterly inhuman strength, the doctor intended on driving his palm into the ax-wielding mans chest. The electricity dancing over the attacking palm would cause severe muscular contractions within the body, but stacked on top of the bone shattering strength the strike held, it should also be more than enough to launch the man through the door if it made contact.

| Well, it seemed Drogomir had driven the unnamed man into some sort of crazed episode. Wonderful. One on one. Better odds. This was a strange crew indeed. It was impressive they managed to make their way from Scotland to France without attracting unwanted attention. He thought back to the strange woman who had been in the room when Eliska had led him out. ...perhaps they didn't totally escape attention... Drogomir's thoughts are brought back to the present by the mad doctor's giggle. He was a strange man indeed, but strange or not, he was going to die.
Drogomir blinked and everything changed. In that fraction of a second, the mad doctor had narrowed the distance between them. He had been ready for an attack, but its speed was faster than the Chechen could possibly have imagined. He tried to turn to the side, to sidestep the outstretched palm of his adversary, but it was too little, too late. Time seemed to slow as the strange sparks from the scientist's hand jump between the gap of their bodies just before contact is made. The mad doctor's palm follows, striking him just off center of his chest with incredible force. Drogomir flies backward, unable to stop the assault. He smashes into the door behind him, splintering it and collapsing into the hallway wall beyond. The Chechen slides down into a seated position and immediately attempts to get up, but only succeeds in half lifting one hip off the ground, groaning, and thumping back to the ground. How many bones were broken, he couldn't be sure, but that all too familiar metallic tang teasing his tongue suggested he had suffered greater injury than broken bones.
The assassin gazes blankly through his greasy hair at the mad doctor on the other side of the splintered door. Slowly, his lips curl back to reveal a scarlet tinged smile. His ax was feet away from his hand, but it didn't much seem to matter. "Most impressive, Doctor." He coughed, cringing at the pain shooting through every portion of his body. "I am truly...inferior." He reaches up and wipes a smear of blood from his lips. "Best kill me now."

| There was something annoyingly insistent coming from the comm in his lab. Swiveling around on his stool, he hauls himself up and presses a button on the phone next to his desk.
”…yes?”
A rather timid voice comes over the other end; poor secretary had been hand selected for his “secretarial” abilities, whatever that meant, and nothing else. He was ill prepared for the problems that could arise from this particular group.
”Sir, sir there is a problem in Dr. Stein’s lab. He-“
The boy is cut off as the scientist shuts off the call; of course it would be Stein. Of course it would be in the middle of a crucial timed experiment. But God knows, there would be no way anyone else would be able to stop the mad man should he be in one of his frenzies.
Sighing to himself, he ambles out the main door to the lab, turning down the hallway and striding to the next lab over, which is to say, the next large entrance, though it was a rather long way down the hall. Just as he reached the door, however, a man came flying through it, looking beat to hell and worse for wear. Staring down at the Chechen as he speaks to presumably Stein, Check rolls his eyes and steps around him.
”Oh please. People like you are incredibly tedious, you know that?”
Stein was, indeed, in one of his moods, though this one looked fueled by more than just his normal crazy. Raising an eyebrow, the checkered man approaches the scientist with sure strides, snatching a scalpel off a table and in the same movement, slicing open his hand. Without breaking stride – and without showing any fear as to what the maniac might do – Check raises his hand, and slaps Stein soundly across the face, acid immediately eating into the man’s face, hopefully bringing him back to his senses.
”Are we calm now?”
His voice is that of a patient caretaker to an unruly child, and indeed, the look on his face was one of a parent rather put out by its child’s antics. |

| As the axe man's immediate stop and propulsion in the other direction through the door on the far end of the room, Serin felt like jumping through the splintered door after the man just to see whether or not the man was dead. The small sounds it still made suggested it was in fact alive, the tiniest urge to finish it and Serin felt another wave from his headache. When he looked back up again through parted fingers, he saw Elden walk in with a less than expected facial expression. It seemed as though Check felt it was his job to keep Stein from going nuts. Obviously didn't think that when he brought something into the lab that he needed to look after it. The other part of his mind had been slowly calming down since the axe wielder had left the room.
"Should keep a better hold on your possessions Elden...might not turn out as well as it has the next time something like that happens", Serin muttered as he took his hand away from his face and placed it on his leg to steady himself.
The image of blood coming from Elden caused Serin to heave a sigh, the migraine started anew and fresh new temptations to take Elden slowly apart gave Serin reason enough to stumble away from his seat. Buckled over and feeling sick, Serin said nothing and aimed to reach the door before the voices got too adamant. Then remembering what was through the door, Serin almost wept, in fact sounding a small squeak before stopping dead. There was no getting out of this one, half way back toward the door a feral growl emanated from his throat. The grin was never there, his eyes took on an emotionless shiftiness, and his jaw went from being clenched to loose and uncaring. His limbs went slack and Serin turned his head slowly back in the direction of the two still in them middle of the room.
All rational thoughts had left his mind when he launched himself back across the room with a sudden burst of speed. Bones coming out from his forearms, elbows and palms, his one and only aim was to impale both of them and find every living thing in a far reaching radius and tear it apart, limb from limb. His right armed shot forward toward Elden's sternum while his opposing arm sped toward Stein's stomach.

| Stein stood like a statue, his right arm still outstretched as the last of the electrical sparks dissipated. A chuckle escaped his lips as he straightened up, quickly evolving into a cackle of utter madness and enjoyment, taking a step forward to continue his assault on the downed chechen. A shadow obscured his face, his eyes shining through the blackness with his twisted, toothy smile spread over his lips. He was going to tear this man apart with his bare hands! He would feel his skin tear as he ripped Radic open, he would feel the mans intestines squish between his fingers as he disemboweled him, he would listen with glee as he snapped the mans bones and rended him into something not even his own mother would recognize!
Steins advance was stopped not four steps into it as Check appeared through the door. Steins vision blurred at that moment, the surroundings distorting as the hallucinations began to take hold again - causing him to lose sight of everyone in the room for a brief moment. He didn't feel pain, but the sudden jerking motion of his head turning from Checks slap caused him to snap back into reality. The acidic blood began its intense struggle against Steins mutate stemcells, trying to eat away at what was constantly being rebuilt. Nonetheless, it added an even more sinister look to the psycho as the tendons and muscles beneath were visible beneath the constant influx of regeneration and destruction.
"Elden... Why are you..."
Stein caught sight of Serin making a mad dash for both of them, bone spires coming from each arm. The small moment of normality Stein was brought into from Checks slap was all but gone now as Stein shoved Check to the side, both knocking him out of the way of Serin's attack to protect the unique subject and as a bit of payback for the previously received slap, before charging his deranged assistant.
"Haha! So you've finally snapped!"
Stein yelled out as his hand thrust forward to match Serins, his palm being impaled by the bone before stopping against Serins own. Impalement wouldn't be a problem to recover from, but he was unaware of how thorough Serin intended to be. Being disemboweled was something else entirely. Standing his ground and holding Serin's arm back with his impaled hand, Stein's other hand immediately rose with sparks beginning to dance across them as a warning.
Hehe...hahaah.... I'm not sure if you'll survive if I dissect you in my current state. How far do you want to push me? |

| As the mad doctor stepped forward, the smile on Drogomir's face widened. A turning point was upon them. Slowly, painfully, the Chechen pulls his knees up to his chest, preparing himself for one last stand. He knew he would not win, unless Lady Luck smiled with exceeding grace down upon him. But the Chechen had never truly needed the end of the fight and the victory that followed. It was the battle itself, the opportunity to fight, to draw blood, and to perhaps to see that little sliver of fear in their eyes before the end. That knowledge of their own mortality, that one day, if not today, they would die, alone. Drogomir would make this mad doctor see that possibility before the end.
A shadow passed over the assassin, pulling him from his unwavering concentration on his adversary. Oh, it was him. Acid blood was a coward's weapon, but Drogomir couldn't blame the man for using what was available to him. He arched an eyebrow when the man smacked the doctor. Interesting. And then the crazy dude sitting on the bench went berserk, charging the pair with...bony spikes?... protruding from his arms. Even more interesting.
Drogomir kept his eyes on the sudden unexpected fight, sliding sideways very slowly, appearing for all the world like he was slumping over unconscious. His fingers crawl over slivers of wood and chunks of drywall until they find their way to the smooth haft of his comrade ax. He slides back upright, so very slowly, dragging his ax through the debris. Stein's back was to the Chechen now, and Drogomir could see the bone spire protruding through his hand. Now was his only chance. Drogomir whipped his hand forward, propelling his ax end over end in a deadly arc. It would bury itself between Stein's shoulder blades. It had to.

| Why did these things have to happen to him? In his own damn company, no less? Having been shoved out of the way just far enough to escape impalement, the usually calm-natured scientist was losing his patience. He knew from the beginning of this little adventure of their's that things wouldn't be easy, but this was ridiculous. They were fighting amongst themselves, and he had already been forced to call off the guard before he came in. Thank God he'd had the foresight to do that, or they would be in a mess he couldn't possibly explain away.
So to keep track of things...Serin had finally lost his mind, Stein was keeping him busy while threatening to dissect him, and the Chechen...threw his ax. Things were certainly too far out of hand, and it caused his eye to twitch slightly in consternation.
Sliced-open hand leading, he slaps and holds it onto Serin's neck from behind, feeling the flow of his blood pour down the crazed man's skin, not needed to watch as it eats into his flesh.
"All right, that's enough!"
Watching for any bone spikes to com his way, Check points the scalpel behind him at the Chechen.
"And you! Sit down and behave or I will end you."
At this point, he was down to his last nerve, and if anyone wanted to continue this fight, he was more than willing to sling a bit of acid in their face. Some part of his brain prodded him to remember that he was doing a bit like what you do to a disobeying puppy; squirt it with water until it stops its unruly behavior. |

| Eyes, never ceasing in their search for something, perhaps it was something to cling to, to make him resurface from this episode, or perhaps it was just looking for the next person to tear apart. Nevertheless, Serin acknowledged Stein's match of energy with the bones protruding from the tips of his fingers on his left hand. He aimed to tear as deep as he could into the flesh and use his knowledge of where the nerves were to do as much damage as possible. He needn't have waited long for the next thing to happen. 'Other Serin' felt something blindingly hot slap onto the back of his neck, some part of his brain wanted him to curl up into a ball and shelter himself from the pain. His other, was curious to found out what had done it, and that small part of his brain that actually knew what the fuck was going on had a voice too small to hear.
With his free arm, Serin swung wildly, attempting to catch whatever it was behind him and tear into it. His eyes never left Stein's even looking out of the corner of his eye, this one was interesting. Though what counted amusing in this state was yet to be found out. All in all, if it wasn't for the violent and unexpected motions coming from Serin, he could have been seen as something somewhat resemblant of a placid nature.
With the wide swing of his arm, Serin met with something semi-solid which caused him to falter (enough time for Elden to dodge the swing). He had expected a body, but either it was light as all hell or it just wasn't flesh. A metallic sound ringing off his forearm, and Serin barely registered an axe flying away from his arm. It seemed as though someone had thrown a weapon. Serin wasn't sure who it was, but the only thing going through his mind was ending whatever was around him. As the voice sounded behind him, he focused back on the man in front of him and the sparks coming from the opposing hand. Even 'other Serin' knew what these electrical currents would do if it touched him, but in this state he wouldn't be able to nullify the currents. There would be no tapping of nerves here, his current form would only allow him to rend and tear.
Not a moment after his whatever part of his mind that was in control registered this, than bones came sprouting out all over his body. Even as his fist came speeding back toward Stein's center mass...
The small part of his mind that wanted out had been fighting from the start, had he been in a different position in the room, perhaps he might have made it out the window before this all happened, but in some ways he wanted all this to end in here, less notice, less of a mess, less problems with the outside world. Either way, all this was going to hurt before it got any better. "Survive?" this being the only thing he had responded to, with words, perhaps Serin could use it later on when he had control again, use it to found out whatever this was that was eating away at him. It definitely looked like he'd need to get a hold on it anyway, it would definitely be a lot easier to be within earshot of violence and the like without it triggering something deep in his psyche.

| Stein couldn't help but let out a slight, cracked giggle at Elden's reaction. He was a unique case among all the ones he'd experimented on. He didn't succumb to strange thoughts and wasn't influenced by Steins mentality, he resisted the psychological damage and "mob mentality" of it all. Then again, that raised even more questions for the psycho, but they would be on hold for later as the sight of Serin flailing his arm and knocking the axe away with a metallic clang drew his attention.
Those bones do their job rather well, eh? Hahaha!
A deranged grin tore across Steins face as his assistant finally focused back on him. He took in Serins observation of the electrical current surging from his hand and grinned even wider at his response. Bones. Bones sprouted everywhere! Truly the young man had adapted even better than Stein had hoped for! From all over his body Stein watched as bones sprouted from Serins flesh as the bony fist came flying toward his center mass, not blinking once the entire time. So long as he avoided a vital spot, Stein was fairly confident he could take the hit and be fine but given Serins aim that wasn't likely. So he did what any madman of his caliber would do in this situation.
He blocked!
Moving his forearm in the path of the spiked fist, the toughened flesh was impaled and torn on impact as the bone went all the way through and only stopped once Serins own hand hit the mans forearm - the bone merely a few inches from its mark. Unaffected by any sort of pain a person would feel from doing this, Stein's grin tore even wider as the deranged look in his eyes locked onto Serins. Looks like you're going to end up back on the lab table! Stein shouted as he used his pure brute strength to try and overpower Serin by outstretching the impaled arm toward him; intent on ramming his electrified palm into Serin's face.
Of course, this would be insane for an ordinary person to do considering the odds of the damage the limb would sustain from it, the additional tissue damage would be rather hefty, and granted the striking power wouldn't full force, but in Steins mind his own body was expendable given his regenerative capabilities. Not to mention the striking power wasn't required, a simple touch would send an electrical pulse through Serins reinforced skull and into the brain. If successful it could easily cause blurry vision, major migraines and headaches, and even damage to the eyes - leading to non-permanent retina damage, all of which in combination should knock some goddamn sense back into Serin before he had to ruin the lab with the innards of a perfectly good, extremely successful test subject. |

| Soooo…this was a mess. A God-is-laughing-and –we’re-fucked-to-hell mess that he didn’t see improving any time soon. But as Stein seemed to be gaining a bit more control over himself, and Serin was about to be electrocuted like a fly on a bug zapper, all in all, he could say things were calming down. Well, insofar as this clusterfuck could calm down.
He knew bringing in all these people into one lab would be dangerous, be he hadn’t counted on Serin losing his shit and go flying off the handle so soon. This put a kink in more than one of his plans, and it irked him to no end. Normally, he was a rather patient and unruffled individual; these people were pushing him far past the point of “calm”. So, with little left to do than wait out the end to this scuffle between two very dangerous men - and knowing his continued presence in the fight would likely end with (quite literally) more bloodshed - the more sane of the scientists shakes his head, rolls his eyes, and heads back out the hole where the door used to be.
Standing over the Chechen for a moment, he ponders the reasons why Stein brought him along in the first place; the man wasn’t doing them any favours. In fact, he’d been the one to start all of this. Sighing to himself, Check holds out his non-bloodied hand, offering to help the broken man to his feet, if such a thing were possible.
"Two options. One, you go back to Ms. Resnik's room and have her fix you up, or two, I'll call you a cab and you can get the hell out of my lab. Up to you, really." |
