Eliska Resnik vs. Gaius Cassel

The room is a large enclosed space, no doors or windows to speak of. The floor appears to be a tiled checkerboard pattern of alternating black and white squares. Each is exactly five feet by five feet, set in twenty-four twenty-four block rows. Every three posts, five of the tiles will rise and/or fall. If set in the floor, a tile will rise to touch the ceiling. If touching the ceiling, it will lower to the ground. This happens at a decent speed and could easily crush someone unaware enough not to move in time.

So, ok. The floor was moving. Moving. And not like it was filled with fun motorized belts that could zip you along at the speed of power walking. Nope. This was the "crush you without a thought and then laugh about it later" sort of moving.

She'd been here long enough to watch, and to learn. The floor, it was in sections, and after so many seconds, it would change, some tiles raising to the ceiling, while others - previously raised - would lower back to their original positions. Fighting here was going to be a bitch, but in all honestly, it could be wonderful fun.

Thank God, she wasn't as bored as her last fight.

However, since she'd been in the room for a bit, she'd decided on a few things: one, whom ever the opponent was, she would need to see "him" before he saw her; two, the room was to her advantage, should "he" have a ranged weapon; three, she was fairly certain one of them would be killed by this room alone.

So she stands at the dead center of the space, not bothering to hide, stepping and turning to a different square each time the one she stands on shifts. She allows them to move around her, timing them so as to know exactly how much time was needed for the pillars to rise completely. Should she need to, she could ride one to freedom, as it were. The Ukrainian can see most of the room from her vantage point, making it difficult for anyone to simply sneak up on her.

Already, one of her larger knives was out and in hand, being hacked through the air as she played about with the time she had remaining.

This fucking fight had better be worth her wait.

Gaius stood with his back against the middle of the first wall, the werewolf was ready for this and his gun was more than prepared to take this Ukrainian Bitch down for the fatherland’s honour. Gaius had felt the urge for murder get stronger in him, and with no way to release it he was more than willing to strangle Eliska with her own entrails if need be. He flexed slightly as he raised his gun, he was hoping to make sure that she had little chance to escape the shots without injury. He licked his lips and with the enclosed space the sound wasn’t dispersed, he had a detailed map of the room in his head and his otherwise slightly blurred radar was made sharp and distinct. Between her moving from pillar to pillar he waited for her to have to move, he then fired three individual shots at the woman. One at her right shoulder blade and the other two at her knife and wrist.

During her dance along the floor, ambling through the raising and descending tiles as though she knew the space by heart, she'd noticed the man along one wall; he appeared to be making no attempt at hiding his presence.

Shrugging to herself, she inhales once before breaking into a full out rush towards him, bringing out the second knife as she sprints, carrying them in front of her in a reverse grip while taking note of the gun raised as she approaches.

Of course there is a gun. There is always a fucking gun.

These fuckers never played for fun.

She saw the barrel aimed towards her, and with the ease of hard-learned practice, she ducks and whips to the side, bullets barely missing her, but missing her all the same. He had shot at her three times. Only three? This meant he either wanted to conserve ammo or he was nervous. Both were good in her eyes.

Of course, he could just have an incredible handle on a gun, which would be bad. Then again, it would mean she would just need to step up her game, something not many made her do anymore. She'd noticed, too, that his eyes were covered in some sort of bandage, which would mean he was relying on other senses, perhaps his sense of hearing. Maybe smell?

She'd known men who could point out the sound of a pin drop in a crowded room, and fighting said men was a pain in the ass. Amusing, but a pain. So this one could possibly be like them, like the men who didn't need their eyes.

So silence it would be, then.

Spaces A14, Q4, L8, E13, and P19 move up.

Gaius started to move to the left for five squares as the block to his right began shooting up to the ceiling, after a second he began cutting across to the other side of the room in a steep diagonal angle. Gaius was waiting for the woman to get closer before he let out all of his ammo into her. He kept at a good pace, not enough to make sure she couldn’t keep up or gain ground but enough to keep her straining to keep up and out of breath. If she was hyper-ventilating and was straining to breathe that would make her slightly more vulnerable, and lactic acid was a weapon that was slow to work but was a weapon none the less. The Spetsnaz kept aware of his surroundings, and kept his pace constant as he drew in his target.

He was running from her.

Running.

From.

Her.

Well, this had certainly gotten off to a peachy, promising start. The fucking idiot unloads three bullets at her - three – and then scurries away like he was afraid of being too close. Maybe his makeup wasn’t at its best today? Or maybe he was just shy. That’s it. He was shy. Because any decent fighter who had a thought in his head would have come at her by now, since at this rate, there wouldn’t be a fucking fight. There would be a merry little chase.

Fuck that.

When he darts off to his left, she slows for a moment, calculating his movements and finding them to be very, very disappointing. He was sticking himself against the wall again, running towards it as though he would lead her into what, a trap? Trap her somehow while her back had the entire room to it? Or maybe he just liked to run.

Good for him.

She didn’t.

So she comes down from her full out sprint to a decent, ambling pace, eyes on him the entire time, not bothering to try and keep up – why would she? – and wondering why the hell he hadn’t made a move. Unless this is what he called a move. In which case, they would be here all night, because like hell was she going to chase after him. The Ukrainian begins to stalk, allowing him to run all he liked, but in the end, he would have to either fire at her or move in if he wanted this thing over with. She didn’t care which one.

His head would be hers no matter the play.

Gaius turned around as soon as the woman stopped running; she hadn’t been caught up in the heat of battle to get drawn into trying to engage him. It didn’t matter; Gaius would get more chances to finish this. He turned to face her and started to walk towards her at a measured pace, stopping around three blocks up from her. With his gun cocked and ready he waited for a few seconds, as long as he kept in control of this fight he had a chance. This was going to be fun, if only he could get his game together.

He finally stopped running, thank God. Chasing him down was not on her list of things to do today, so when he stops and turns, she allows a huff to escape her lips and a bored expression to lay over her features. He ambles towards her in what seems an attempt at intimidation of sorts; not the best play, really. He was trying to play the game now, but he didn't seem at all dangerous to her, not really. If anything, he seemed nervous, worried.

Of course, nothing is really ever as it seemed.

He could be pretending to be scared of her, approaching with this sort of timidity, pretending in order to throw her off.

Whatever.

He would die like they all did.

He stops, and she knows she can close the distance. So she does. She simply rushes him, knowing he will most likely shoot at her, at being the key word, feeling confident in her ability to get out of the way fast enough for whatever he is using to miss her. Barely, but they would miss.

When she reaches him, her second blade is already out, whipping around to impact with his gun, swiping it away to to his right to open his arms, thinking in this move, he would release the weapon with his left hand, leaving him open to attack on the inside.

She would immediately dive in, first blade angled at his throat with blinding speed, intent on ramming through him throat and out the back of his skull, a killing blow for most.

However, should he not release the weapon, it would throw him off balance slightly, and she would go for his left wrist, stabbing the knife into the bone and flesh, rending and tearing in one swift move until his hand simply popped off in a spray of blood and bone fragments. Her unholy strength would allow for the act, and she knew that if he let her that close, she would get in a blade before he had a chance to do any real damage to her.

Bring it, you impotent Russian cocksucker.

Gaius emptied his rifle at her as soon as she got to be two meters from him; as soon as the magazine was empty he threw it at her face with all his might with his left hand while his right hand snaked to his belt. His ballistic knife came out as he prepared for melee, ready to lash out at her first chance he got. His left hand was ready to try and grab her wrist if she tried to stab him, but he also went on the offensive with his right hand snaked out with all his speed towards her chest to try and kill her with one quick stab. In the event of her moving back or missing or even interception he would twist his wrist slightly and let the blade fly, at such close range then she wouldn't have time to process the action let alone dodge. Without speed that rivaled his own the unexpected move would hopefully catch her unawares, and even if she dodged he lost nothing. This was going to be fun, very fun indeed.

So lots of things were happening. Bullets were flying through the air and then...the magazine?

Had that fucker just thrown a magazine at her?

What the fucking hell was going on around here?

She had to give him points for ingenuity though.

He was faster than her, that much was obvious, but he was fumbling around on his belt and with something she couldn't quite make out. A gun? A knife? Another magazine to toss at her? Meh, she would find out soon enough. Sooner, rather than later, she assumed.

As the last of the bullets were dodged as she twists her body in a roll to the side- an the mag - she was put off course, now aimed more to his side than anything else. He was faster. But she was a bitch. As soon as the gun was thrown away, she dropped to her hip and slid straight past him, falling to her side as though she were sliding into home base, momentum from her headlong dash fueling the slide at a ridiculous speed.

But her hands weren't idle.

Both blades shot out as she went by, intent on hamstringing the bastard from behind. He had the speed advantage but now she had surprise on her side. She had managed to sweep her arms past his coat, quite literally ducking past him in his own clothing. The blades would bite deep, and with her strength, she would cut through muscle and tissue like it was nothing, leaving wounds even this man couldn't ignore.

As soon as she was away from him, she would pop back to her feet, ready for another magazine to be thrown at her.

Gaius got ready to react as Eliska got behind him; her knives were still going to cause a lot of damage to him so he had to be wary. The knives leapt out to try and leave him unable to walk, yet Gaius didn’t have the blind spot behind him like most people. As she got behind him his foot swept his gun forwards as he moved out of reach of her attack. He picked the gun up as he turned around once again to face Eliska, reloading it and cocking the weapon took just a second. He moved closer to the woman on the floor while he began to fire round after round at her, this wouldn’t carry on much longer. The fight had reached its final stages; the deathblow only had to be struck.

Her blades missed. Once again, this sort of fight was becoming a problem, a troublesome task that she would rather not have to deal with. Not that she minded dying all that much - everyone does - it was just the fact that she was going to end up a blood splatter on the floor form this guy.

When he dodges, she is immediately on her feet, twisting her body in an angle to give her maximum power to this next move; hopefully, it would end this massive mess. He was turned away from her, a good ten feet away by her judgement, bending down to pick up his dropped gun.

As soon as he stood and reloaded, one of her long, wicked, dirty knives came sailing through the air at his head, aimed to hit either his neck, temple, or back of his skull, depending on how his face turned as he twisted around to face her. The strength of the throw was enough to gut through bone like butter, and as he was taking his sweet time turning to face her - though it was faster than most - she had more than enough time to send it hurtling through the air at him.

At the same time, she rushed him, just as he faced her. If the blade missed - again - it wouldn't matter. She was on him in an instant, empty hand swinging out a massive blow to his midsection while the other, the one with the remaining blade, shot upwards to his chin, intent on burying the blade completely into his skull from the bottom up.

ducking under the thrown knife and moving back slightly from the girl’s knife attack as she tried to impale him on it to allow it go up past his face. The werewolf allowed the punch to land, stepping into it he made an inner wince as he felt the force of it, but Gaius then opened fire on fully automatic; he aimed for her abdomen as it was the largest target. Keeping a constant stream of fire until her had used up all but five shots in his magazine. After that he waited to open fire again, at such close range he doubted how many she could dodge, so with a grimace; he awaited the next bout, he would try and end it in their next clash. Every second the fight lasted put him at risk; he had to finish it as soon as possible.

He dodged. Again.

Christ, this guy just would not go down.

Well, time to get fucking serious.

As he steps away to miss her blade, she steps forward pressing the fight to him. She had trapped his gun against them both, which meant if he pulled the trigger, it would be on both of them. He could move his gun up and down, but aiming it meant he would have to step away again. Which he didn’t. As soon as her blade whiffed past his face, she reverses the direction and handle, whipping it around so that the blade pointed down. She slammed it down onto an arm holding the gun, attempting to take a hand out of play.

At the same time, her own free hand was in motion.

When her blade comes down, she reaches up and takes hold of the barrel of the gun as he pulled the trigger , jerking it downwards as she swings to his side, putting herself outside of the current range of fire – which was too large for her liking, as was the amount of lead flying through the air. Her blade is going to dig deep if it hits, rendering a hand useless or at least biting enough to put a damper on his enthusiasm. The hand on the gun squeezes with the full force of her strength, bending it if ever so slightly, rendering it useless for the remainder of the hopefully much shorter fight.

If that didn't work, there was always the fact that on combination with the stab wound, she could conceivably rip the thing away from him with the leverage she has on the barrel.

Gaius gave a grin as she grabbed his gun, he let go of it and made sure to react to the knife. His hand shoots towards her throat to try and bring it into a crushing grip, his foot kicking out towards her kneecap at the same time. His other hand flashed up to grab her knife hand; giving a silent grunt he allowed the blade to pierce his palm. But that wasn’t enough to stop him from acting, his hand pushing up to get a firm grip on her hand to try and stop her from moving away from him. “This has been fun girl, whatever the result I can respect a good opponent.” He said this without thinking, his concentration on the fight itself.

She saw it coming, but there was no way in hell she was stopping it.

As soon as his hand released the gun, she saw it coming right at her, and short of dropping to her knees - and loosing any chance at taking down this motherfucker - she had no way to dodge it. So she drops the gun as well, stepping as close as she could to him, taking away a lot of the leverage he would have in a full-out grip, and reaches for her 10" long switchblade.

The hand was wrapping around her throat as the blade was being flipped open.

She didn't have to worry about her knee; they were far too close for such a move to work, and at most he would have a glancing blow at her shin, one she easily avoided by simply lifting her leg out of the way, remarkably still balanced until the kick passes, which is when she puts her booted foot back down right next to his own.

At the same time, he was trying to grab her hand with his own impaled one. Fine with her. Since he was already pulling back to keep her from stepping away, augmented by the fact that she was instead stepping to him, she shoves with incredible strength towards his chest, slamming the blade that had gone completely through his hand into his chest, right at his heart, hopefully causing immense amounts of pain and pinning his hand to his chest.

Perhaps it might even kill the bastard.

As the bowie is shoved forward, her switchblade is swung in an arc around the arm now gripping her throat, aiming directly for his eye socket. Should it hit, it would bury deep into his brain, and if it did hit, she would be snapping the blade off at the hilt, permanently lodging it into his skull. Since he was so focused on her other hand, and her neck, and the fact that he was spending the energy to talk, she could rightly assume that he would catch this blade to the eye faster than he could register it coming.

This goddamn, cock juggling, motherfucking Commie wasn't going to snuff her out that easily.

Gaius felt his hand connect around her throat, he put on the strongest grip he could, then ripped it back making sure as to try and take her throat out. As he did so his arm went up elbow first to block the knife blade somewhere on his forearm, his arm would be useless for a while after but it was better than dying. He gave a little grin at this, his body twisting to put his left arm back, this made sure his heart was out of the way leaving him with just a shallow semi long scratch on his chest for his troubles.

Well shit.

Going out in style, she knees him in the groin, twists both knives with her full strength, and bites with the force of a rabid dog the hand that is choking her.

Fudge-packing, cum dumpster, cockjocky motherfucking whore may have her, but she got the last fucking say.
