A mad scientist has armed a death laser and plans to destroy the White House (again) if he isn't payed...ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS! What he lacks in being supernatural, he makes up for in being completely insane. Even so, the laser is fully functioning and will fire in 20 posts. His eighteen soldiers are armed with dart guns, each firing fifty darts with the ability to tranquilize an average sized man with three to five of them. In the middle of the large doom ship (a circular boat with a tower in the middle) is the man himself, guarded by several metal doors. The laser is inside with him and will not come out until it is time to fire.

An isolated, floating fortress. That would make things more difficult for him. Cole's specialty called for a bit of distance and in that circular ship he'd be forced into tight quarters eventually. Oh well, that's what suppressors were for. Regardless of his complaints, the archer was currently en route to the ship in a small inflatable raft equipped with a likewise small engine. Built for stealth, the small emergency raft was barely large enough for him and his mission partner to squeeze into for their trek from shore to the waiting ship. Lying prone in the raft with a dark tarp with a glistening finish draped over the top of him and the rest of the transport, Brandon was taking care to keep his raft nigh invisible on this dark cloudy night. As small as it was moving among the shifting waves, it should appear to be just another bulge of ocean water swirling in the Gulf. The tarp had the added benefit of partially muffling the engine to reduce noise. They couldn't rightly go full throttle with it, but then again they didn't need to.

Finally reaching the base of the massive ship, Brandon took the heavy duty suction cup tethered to the raft and placed it against the side of the ship, giving it a few pumps to establish a proper grip. They had reached their destination, time to commence the operation. Gesturing silently with his head for them to begin moving, Cole grabbed onto the anchor line they had tied off alongside and began the climb up towards the deck with his bow and quiver strapped onto his back. As he made his climb upwards, he kept his eyes peeled for signs and sounds of motion from the deck. He needed an idea of the security patterns before he reached the deck. Judging from the partial views of light beams he could glimpse from below, there were two teams of guards patrolling the deck in a circular pattern, two in each group with flashlights to scan their surroundings.

The circular shape of the ship actually worked to their advantage here as the guards timing always had them on opposite sides of that tower. Reaching the top of the anchor line, he paused before pulling himself all the way up onto deck. A moment went by before footsteps and voices could be heard, a pair of flashlights bobbing along up on deck. There was his first group. The moment he was sure they had passed his position, he pulled himself up and silently touched down on the deck pulling his silenced pistol. Creeping in the shadows behind the chatting guards, he fired two rounds at the back of each of their heads and quickly slid in behind them to catch the bodies before they could crash to the deck. They didn't need to give away their presence just yet. However, the flashlights each guard held would be out of the archer's control and their impact with the deck would give off sound, albeit far less than the bodies would have. Dumping the two corpses, the assassin would scoop up the illumination devices and turn them off before tossing them overboard with their deceased owners.

Volke watched his partners execution of these men. Nearly flawless. That was impressive. Volke having been satisfied with the stealth approach would gladly let Bandon call the shoots on this mission. After all he was not strategist and so log as he would get to kill some people he would be happy.

Volke detected the other two men approaching them from behind. They must be the second watch. They approached them from Volke's side and he knew what to do in this situation.

He tapped Brandon's shoulder to alert him to him to his leaving. Volke crouched low and waited for them drawing the knife in his arm and pulling out some of the cord.

As the men rounded the corner and just before They would have spotted Volke he threw near but not to near them a stone which would make only the smallest noise. As it was but a pebble. Probably only audible to them. As they heard the small noise of the pebble clicking against the floor they stopped and looked at in that direction curiously.

Volke snuck upon them from behind and quickly wrapped his tin cord around the neck of one with his left hand which he held his knife in. His cord was pulled taunt. He had put his right hand around the mouth of the other and stopped him from screaming as he plunged the blade into his neck. His taunt cord pulling on the other man's neck chocked him and when his blade plunged into the man's throat his wire cut into the other guards throat drawing much blood and cutting off his air way. As the man died Volke pulled the wire even harder as he balanced the body between his arm and body.

Both men now dead were quietly lowered to the ground and as Brandon had done. He doused the lights and disposed of their bodies in the same way.

A crackling sound of an intercom cut through the night air. "Excellent show, gentlemen," a man trying way too hard to sound British congratulated. "However, you failed to notice the pressure sensors I placed under the deck, alerting me to your presence." In reality, one of the men the cyborg had slain simply pressed the Morse code button on his radio several times as he died. "I'm afraid this is where our game ends," he mocked, pressing a button in the control tower to close the blast doors inside the tower, cutting off the soldiers from the control room. Before the message ended, an obnoxious, snorty laugh was heard, then violently interrupted by coughing.

Nodding at the cyborg, Brandon remained in the shadows as his partner dispensed with the other two patrolmen and holstered his pistol in favor of his bow.  Nocking an arrow, Cole perked up at the sound of the voice over the intercom.  Pressure sensors my ass. the assassin thought, evaluating the madman's ramblings as just that.  The archer had dealt with such devices before and several pieces just didn't fit.  First off the damn things would be too easily triggered on an open deck.  Hail, heavy rain, wildlife, a whole host of things could disturb it and give false positives.  Second, if they'd really triggered something why did the boss wait until after the second team was killed to lock the doors?  Scowling beneath his face mask, Brandon took a moment to consider their options.

There was a visible entrance to the top of the tower which the weapon most likely fired through but he wasn't completely confident they had the muscle or firepower to punch through it.  They could always wait until he decided to fire it but that was too risky with the entire White House hanging in the balance.  Steeler had supposedly told the Executive branch to evacuate the area as soon as VWAT was called in but even then, failure wasn't an option.  Their best bet would be to try and get through the interior of the structure.  It was only about three stories tall, worst case scenario they could double back.

Looking at the cyborg, Cole used two fingers on his right hand and pointed at his own eyes and in a hushed tone said only the word "Heat." before bringing the same two fingers together and pointing at the entrance to the tower.  His unspoken gestures were an effort to avoid any prying ears cluing in on their abilities but Cole's message should have been clear to Voke; thermal vision, use it.  Smoothly moving to the doorway to the main tower, Cole positioned himself on one side of the door metal door and grabbed a smoke grenade from his belt.  Gesturing again to Volke, Brandon pointed at Volke, the smoke bomb, and inwards to the door in turn.  The archer wanted his partner to kick in the door so that he could toss in the smoke grenade and give the cyborg the necessary cover to close in on any hostiles in the area using his thermal vision.  Cole pulled the pin but held onto the safety lever, using three fingers to count down.  Upon reaching one it would be up to Volge to use that cyborg muscle to take down the exterior door, a simple metal door as opposed to the blast doors sealing the command room.

Volke not really bothered by this voice was only interested in his partner's commands. They seemed fine Volke decided.

He watched him intensely and got the jist of what he was saying. Flipping on his thermal vision and breaking down the door with a swift kick. He awaited his allies smoke. As it was thrown he entered into the room at first ducking low with one of his explosive knives out. After all they had already made plenty of noise as it was.

Although unfortunately he saw nothing that would suggest an enemy in this room.

He turned back to his partner and disappointed he said to him.

"There is no one here. What would you recomend next?"

Volke spoke quietly to him and swiftly still prepared for battle. He was aware that this was a better strategist than him and was very willing to listen to his advice.

"Ha ha ha, you boys suck eggs," the man said in a mocking and immature tone. There were cameras inside the tower to track their progress. The regular doors didn't seem like they'd be able to hold them. Luckily, the last was much stronger. "You've fallen into my trap, by the way. I will now fill the room with poison gas!" A gas did indeed come out of the vent system, but it was only helium. True, it could deprive them of oxygen and eventually asphyxiate the two, but there was a good amount of room in the tower, so the only effect they need worry about would be their comically high voices.

There was no one there. The remaining guards must have converged in the control room. They'd need to flush them out then. Stepping inside the now smoke filled bottom of the tower, Cole examined the staircase leading up to the laser. Nothing up stairs leading up to a set of blast doors. Time to try a two front approach. Knowing that the smoke in this area would hide them from the cameras, Cole removed his grenade belt and moved up to stand alongside the cyborg, placing the remaining smoke and frag weapons over Volke's shoulder. Leaning in close so that the knife expert could see him, Cole placed two fingers against Volke's chest and pointed up the stairs before gesturing to the remaining smoke grenade and then the frag. Following that, he pointed his thumb at himself and motioned out and upwards near the door. The plan was for Volke to use the remaining smoke bomb to rise through the tower without the security eyes being able to see their actual movements and then use the frag in conjunction with his other weapons to blast through the command center doors. For his part, Brandon would try and breach from the exterior of the building.

At the mention of poison gas, Brandon nodded to his partner and exited the room under the cover of smoke. Regardless of whether or not the poison gas was real, Cole didn't want to take the risk and Volke's artificial body should make him immune to the effects. Slinging his bow over his shoulder, Brandon latched onto the small indentations on the exterior of the tower and hauled himself up. He was no stranger to rock climbing and years of archery had given him extremely strong fingers. Climbing this paltry tower wall would be child's play.

Volke nodded and smiled liking this idea. He ran up towards the door using the smoke grenade as cover like the archer had suggested. Then getting up to the door he threw the grenade towards the door after pulling the pin. Throwing his knife with great force at the door he would set it off the moment the greade was supposed to blow. But a little higher than the grenades blast would affect.

The grenade  going off at the same time as his knife resulted in a rather large explosion which destroyed a lot of this door. The door hadn't cracked. But he had one knife left. He used it on this door.

The door was hot and cracked, but not down yet. Volke ran into it with a flying side kick. Slow and powerful. Volke would not stop beating this door until it caved. Which it did. He rolled into the room and pulled out a long knife. He used his missile weapons already but was very willing to be a distraction for Brandon.

Although as he saw the other door he groaned and walked over to knowing it had to be beaten don like the last.

Another insult over the loud speakers. Dumb? Really? Cole brushed the insult aside as he finished his climb and stood atop the tower. The blast doors which covered the firing port were locked in together but that should only be a momentary distraction. Taking a hold of his bow, Brandon nocked an explosive arrow, drew back and fired. The titanium missile hit at roughly 900 feet per second. Not enough to completely penetrate the hardened blast doors, but enough to stick the shaft into the metal somewhat and drive the explosive tip that much deeper into the crack between the two doors. Nocking another arrow, Brandon repeated the process again and again, slowly working his way down the length of the blast doors until 25 explosive shafts were stabbed into the crack between the doors. Backing up to the opposite side of the tower, Cole hit the trigger for the explosives contained in his bow and covered his face against the potential spray of shrapnel. Those doors looked tough but he'd just put half a quiver of plastic explosives into the weak point of them. It was his best chance of getting through from this angle.

Volke charged at the doors and with a holler he started bashing the dors in. It would take a while but eventually he would be able to do this. He exerted all of his energy into this task and kept minimum but some watch of his surroundings. He yelled out to the enemies which he knew could hear him.

"Come on out you cowards! Or are you afraid us the supposed bumbling fools!?. Cause the way I see it. Either you are terrified of us who can't do anything to harm you. Or your glorious employer the amazing scientist was dead wrong!"

Volke hollered this outknowingthat with the beating down of this door with his bare hands that stealth for him had gone out the window. Normally he would not do something this cliché but this scientist was obviously petty made and Volke thought he might just send some people to kill him during an egotistical rage of some sort.

Volke knew that it would take a while to get through these doors and decided to do the only thing he could think of. And that was being a distraction for Brandon in one way or another.

The roof exploded, sending debris to crush several men and destroy the laser. "Where did you even come from?!" the madman yelled. The remaining henchmen (eight of them) started firing at the archer. With any lucky, they'd paralyze him and force him to fall off the tower.

Well that settled the biggest pressing issue. Retreating back to the opposite side of the tower to hide behind what little metal remained of the roof, Brandon nocked three tear gas arrows onto his bow and hit the comm device sitting in his ear to get in touch with Volke inside the tower. "Prime target's neutralized. Any day now Volke." the archer said with just a hint of urgency in his voice. The situation was manageable but some added assistance from the cybernetic knife fighter would be much appreciated. Ducking out from the edge of his makeshift hiding spot with his weapon held horizontally, Cole fired the three tear gas arrows into the largest bundle of terrorists as hastily fired bullets pinged off the metal roof near him. Wasting no time, Brandon drew another explosive arrow as soon as the nonlethal projectiles had left his bow and let it fly in their wake. The tear gas arrows should serve to blind and disorient his opponents long enough for the explosive to land in their midst and detonate to cause some real damage while Volke made his way into the room.

Bursting through the doors he gave out a holler not only to draw fire to him but to alert Brandon that he was inside the building.

"Alright, Now it's time for me to have some fun!" Volke called out into the room as he burst through the last door. He was forced to hammer away at these hunks of metal while these cowards had hid away in here. And he not happy about it.

Charging into the room Volke pulled out both of his long knives and barreled into his enemies. First hitting one to the ground as he chocked on the tear gas that Volke was unaffected by. As they fell to the ground Volke stabbed him in the throat and rolling forward from the body he threw one of his knives into another enemy. This one hit him in the chest and pierced his heart as I broke through his sternum.

Jumping up he quickly slashed forward and up with his knife breaking through the chin of one man and into his skull as his body fell to the floor Volke caught the sloppy attempt to hit him with a dart gun by grabbing the man's fist before the weapon made contact with him. Slowly he squeezed the fist until it broke the dart gun and hen squeezing event tighter he broke the fist and forced the broken pieces of the weapon into the mans hand. While that seemed odd and a little maddening it did a good job of drawing the enemies dart fire his way. The man screamed out in massive pain and as that happened the enemies redoubled their efforts to take him down with there dart guns. However even if he had had blood. They would not pierce his steel and Kevlar body.

As this man's hand shattered Volke drove his knife deep into his stomach and as he doubled over he rove the hilt into the man's skull crushing it. Just in case. He also cut off his head with a powerful swipe from above.

Two men left. As Brandon's arrow had done quite a number on three of them.

Both of the were coughing and barely able to fire darts at him though the tear gas that he was unaffected by. Approaching them slowly he smiled and laughed a bit as he cracked their skulls together. Using his other long knife he stabbed through the man' neck as he bent low to the floor. Then leaving his knife in the mans throat he grabbed the other mans fist as it neared his face. Spinning the arm around he punched the tight elbow down into the other mans body. With his powerful blow on the joint he broke the elbow and the pulling the enemy forward he stabbed him with his other knife in his left hand.

Getting up he shouted to Brandon. "Almost finished."

Turning his head he looked at the scientist with the gas mask and shotgun. He laughed and told him.

"Alright! now-"

Volke waited no longer as he pulled the trigger on his ballistic knife into he mad mans throat.

Looking up again he said to Brandon.

"Now. I am finished. By the way. Good job with the roof." Volke didn't know why he complimented him. probably cause he had saved those kills for him.
