Conference Room

This conference is pretty standard.  It has a long table enough to fit twelve people and a smart screen at the far end of the room for debriefing's and presentations

Leon had set up shop with a laptop computer booted up ready to take notes. He had the personnel reports in a pile by him.  He had his service dress jacket hanging up  with the combination cover.  He was rather interested this first operative who was on loan from the JNVDO. He would have to ask what exactly the arrangement was.  The file said she was a cyborg and was lethal.  He noted the abilities and began typing a preliminary report of his day so far while waiting on the agent.  He ahd the coffee from earlier and occasionally to a sip from it while typing.

Led from her room and down the hall by a soldier, STRENGTH was nervous and frightened from being called on so suddenly. She'd had no time to prepare for something like this. From what she'd her, the doctor still hadn't arrived yet. The door closing behind her, she held her arms in front of her and kept her head down, noticing the man sitting at the table. She wasn't sure whether to approach him without permission or not, and just kept standing at the front of the room.

Leon noticed immediately that something seemed off.  Normally people would ask permission rather than just stand there with their arms up. "Come and sit down please." Leon said as he waited for her to sit down.  "Greetings, I am Rear Admiral Leon Mias Valentine.  please address me as Admiral Valentine.  I have a few questions pertaining to the circumstances of your being here." He said as he paused to allow her process what he just said before continuing. "If you can please tell what is the exact arrangement of you working with the VWAT?" Leon asked ready to take notes of what she may say.

Relieved at being allowed to sit, she walked slowly to a chair across from the man to sit, keeping her head low the whole time. She nodded at his introduction to show she understood. Remembering back, she tried to think of exactly what they'd told her about the move. "They said I was supposed to live here, and that they would get someone to take my place." Truthfully, that was about all she really knew. She didn't know who was supposed to stand in for her or how long it was meant to go on for.

"How did this arrangement come to be?" He said as he waited for an answer.  After she answered he would ask "Since you have been here at the VWAT what can you tell me about it?" Even though he knew quite a bit about this organization he felt it helpful to hear what others understood of it.  It usually helped focus the objective.  This was an interesting case though hearing from a foreign agency's perspective would be valuable.  He figured he would start asking about her abilities and her being a cyborg a little later, he would have her answer some basic questions before.

She only shrugged her shoulders. "No one told me." The next question was a bit hard to answer. "I've only been here a few hours. It's big." This probably wasn't the answer he was looking for. She really didn't want to make him mad; he might yell at her. The thought made her lower her head more.

Leon found it odd that there was no transparency and he couldn't blame her for not knowing much because she was only here a few hours.  "Alright, what can you tell me of your combat abilities? What are your strengths?" Leon purposefully didn't ask for the weaknesses for a multitude of reason.  First and foremost being that it was disrespectful and he didn't want to cause strain with their overseas allies.

The question seemed odd to her. Was her alias not enough of a hint at what she could do? "I'm strong and I can make weapons," she said, not particularly happy with having to say all of it. She hated her body and what it could do. She hated killing and hurting people. She was beginning to hate this meeting, too, and wished there was something to remove her from the situation.

"Is there something wrong? Leon asked noticing a slight indicator of displeasure in the tone of the voice.  He wasn't expecting an answer but it was something worth noting. Considering that she is from Japan, and there is the foreign relations to think of.  Aside from that she didn't seem all to useful to Leon's current assignment.  So he decided he would dismiss her in a few minutes when she answered.  If she answered for that mattered.  He almost felt bad for her.  By her looks she could easily pass as a 12 or 14 year old.  He couldn't imagine what she was put through or the circumstance of her "creation".

She shook her head at the question. That was a lie, though; many things were wrong, but none that this man could possibly affect. Maybe the air conditioning, actually. Since she'd arrived, she'd noticed the whole place was unreasonably cold. Not like she would bring that up, though, since it seemed rather childish to get worked up over a simple temperature dissatisfaction.

The head shaking was the only form of an answer. He didn't believe because he met many a soldier who did something similar when asked if anything was wrong.  Leon decided it was the wrong time to press this question.  "Thank you for your time.  I will be doing a follow up later this year.  You're dismissed" Leon said to the cyborg.

Standing, she bowed to him in respect, unable to shake hands or salute in a way that wouldn't look incredibly awkward. Taking her leave, she slowly walked to the door, having it open before going out and trying to remember the route to her room.

Volke entered after a brief touch up on his flesh. They pulled a few darts and fixed a few tares. Enough said.

Quickly saluting the Admiral he said.

"You have requested to see me Admiral Valentine?"

Leon was going over the file on the next person.  This person was another cyborg.  This one actually is property of the VWAT and has a bomb implanted into his chest.  Wonderful was the sarcastic word of the day for Leon it appeared.  The first interview literally provided nothing and this one could blow up in Leon's face.  When he heard the operative come in and speak Leon looked to see the man saluting.  He returned the salute and motioned for him to sit down.  "I did, I have a few questions I would like to ask.  Keep in mind you still have your basic rights.  You don't have to answer every question but the more you do answer honestly and truthfully the easier it makes my job and could potentially help out the VWAT as well." Leon said as he pulled up another word document and prepared to take notes.

"Yes sir."

Volke responded with no emotion. He was not really into the entire talking thing and just wanted this interview to be over with as soon as it could be.

Taking a seat he leaned back a little bit and prepared himself for these series of questions that he would be asked.

Ic:  Leon took a sip of the coffee that he had on the table before asking the first series of questions.  "first I want you to tell me a bit about yourself and how you came to be apart of the VWAT.  This is just to make sure your file is correct and everything matches."  Leon was ready to type just about every word the cyborg said.  He hoped he could make some leeway with this one but he needed to ask the basic biographical questions first. He was paying attention to the agent so he wouldn't miss a detail.  Leon was even taking notes on the agents body language from when he entered the room.

Taking a seat in the chair and leaning back in a rather bored but not necessarily compliant nature he responded to the Admiral.

"Early in my life I joined the U'S Military and from their I worked my way up the ranks until I was accepted into our special forces. After many years of service I was blown almost entirely away by a captured terrorist. After this in order to save my life I underwent a transfer into a cybernetic being. From then on I have been apart of VWAT and hunting down vampires and other (thinking back on the scientist he scowled) annoyances."

Then pausing for only a moment to think about what he said next he continued.

"As to telling you about myself there really isn't much to say. I enjoy what I do and who I am. I do not intend to leave this organization any time soon nor do I intend to stop fighting."

Volke had hoped that he had answered these questions correctly so they could be done with this interview. But being that he was never really asked about himself his answers had probably been less than satisfactory. Preparing himself for another barrage of questions mentally Volke forced himself to concentrate on this meeting which he imagined was going to be longer than he wanted.

Leon took notes as he spoke.  He noted how the operative sat and how he reacted when he spoke about his transformation.  He would need to follow up with the background checks.  Particularly those responsible for the implants.  He decided not to ask in case he reacted violently.  He doubted it but Leon had read reports on how sometimes the body would not take to the cybernetic implants and reject it out right usually causing a variety of symptoms from intense pain to insanity.  He didn't want to risk it even though the psyche evaluation said he was stable.  "Can you recall any mission that went exceptionally well or was a complete failure?  If so, please describe the circumstances that caused the outcome." Leon asked.

Hmm. thinking about killing things. The questions were not quite so boring now. Volke thought back to his earlier missions. Yep. Not a lot of failures at all. If he had any, he would be probably be dead. As he ws not one to. Shall we say quit? But as to major successes. Wella ny time he had gotten to kill something was a success for him. He supposed he would just go with his easies kills. Which he thought back on. Could not have been any more obvious than his last mission....easy....but so strange.

He responded.

"Well, Me and a partner of mine recently saved the white house from a devastating laser explosion without any real hitches. No wounds or casualties even. I believe that qualifies as a pretty good success. Other than that I would have to say that every mission for me has been a success, I'm still alive and fighting and if I had failed then I wouldn't be here. Do you have any other questions for me?"

Volke finished with this question he desperately hoped was going to be answered no.

Leon was satisfied with the answer and this interview for now.  "I will be conducting another set as a follow up.  That will be conducted at a later date. You're dismissed."  Leon said as he cleaned up his things and left the conference room to suite up.  He caught wind of a mission and he was sneak aboard for support and to see some of the agents he is going to interview in action.  He also went to make sure that his actual name didn't show up and rather his code name. He didn't think anyone here knew it seeing as it has been years since he needed to use it.
