Hellsing Front Gates.

It took a while since returning to London but Hyaskus finally found The Hellsing Manor. Strolling up the path to the gate, he was stopped by two guards, "Halt! State your business." One of them said. Both, however, had their rifles pointed at Hyaskus. Lucky for him, however he left his coffin a few miles away from the Mansion, "Good evening, I wish to speak to the head of this establishment." Hyaskus said, slightly fazed by the guns practically pressing against his cheek. "I can wait here if you desire." The Vampire continued, his Amber eyes studying the two.

Muttering between each other, one of the Guards pressed the Intercom, "Sir Integra, someone is here to see you. Pale skin, no visible weapons, wearing a gaudy purple cloak which might be concealing weapons, and Orange eyes. Should we open fire?"

Mato had enough stress for the day. A good walk through the mansion`s garden would proove to be an effective stress killer....
If one looked careful enough, some of those flowers did look rather nice... in a way, she liked them.
The roses, especially. Their red color was appealing to the eye, and she liked the way they had thorns to protect themselves from the eviroment.

Her hand reached out to pick one, regardless of the consequence it might have, when her ear picked up a strange noise.

It was a loud, whirring noise, like a jet engine... and it was getting louder.

Like a Reaper coming towards her, the fuselage of a Boeing 747 appeared from behind the treeline, heading for the mansion.... It was reflected in the lens of her eye, her eye that was getting bigger and bigger... until her survival instinct finally kicked in and made her leap into the flower bed as far as she could, away from the building... the coat only protected her from the thorns, the impact was harsh and brutal, but she didn´t care right now. She covered her ears and crawled up into a fetus position, hoping that whatever would follow next wasn`t going to be the last thing she would ever feel.

A noise louder than everything she has ever heard combined, and a heatwave like an erupting volcano washed over her, debris flying all over, a cloud of dust covering her body completely...

For the first time in five years she began to cry- she told herself it was because of the dust that got in her eyes, but it was because there was absolutly nothing she could do about her entire existance being erased by that plane crash. All she had left was her bare life, and the weapons strapped to her body.

Seras was headed down the hall to take a nap. It was the middle of the day, and she really felt like having some sleep. The half-asleep vampire dragged her feet across the floor, looking forward to some nice rest in her coffin. Something made her stop suddenly, though. It was faint, something a human couldn't detect at the distance the object was coming from. Her ears focused on the sound. It was the droning of a jet engine, and it got louder with each second. She wasted no time in getting to a window to see if she could spot the flying vessel. Through the noise, she picked up sounds of human agony. Her eyes began to glow red as she focused her vision. It was still daylight outside, a huge hinderance. She managed to spot the vessel, though it soon disappeared in the cascading sunlight. She had to avert her eyes, but the engines grew closer and closer. Her fear was bubbling to the surface. It's going to crash into the manor...

A sense of panic drew her away from the window to escape to the basement, until she saw a figure leap into the flowers in the garden, curling up. Seras immediately recognized the figure as Mato Kuroi, one of Hellsing's own. The jet grew louder and louder, it's course made obvious. Without enough time to cover herself, Seras leaped out of the window, braving the harsh sun. Her first priority was getting Mato out of there and to safety as quickly as possible. The blonde girl anticipated the crash, hearing the explosion. The impact forced hot air around the area, and the sound it made was horrendous, like a monster roaring in her ear. Stopping only for a moment, she reached into the thorns and scooped the girl up, wincing slightly at all the cuts in her own arms. Hot shrapnel littered the yard, a lot of the pieces fairly large. The sun beat down, though the shadow of the house was near. Seras held Mato, weapons and all, with ease. It was maneuvering the yard that would prove difficult. Carefully, the vampire watched the blazing skies, ducking and dodging debris while running in jagged patterns for the manor. A few close calls added to the scratches on her arms.  Once inside, she ran for the basement, not bothering to look back or slow down. She, instead,  looked down at the girl in her arms, scanning her figure for any damages. "Mato, are you alright?" Her own voice was barely above a whisper, and slighly cracked, as she stood inside the safety of the basement, finally stopped to catch her breath.

Mato didn`t respond for a minute or two, she was just staring, wide eyed, unable to comprehend what had happened. Where did the Jet come from? Why did it crash? Why did it crash into the manor, of all places? Why wasn´t she dead, like doubtlessly many other people would be?
The comfort of a slightly heated up chest of quite fashionable size was the first thing she realized, then things got dark. Scared that might be the end afterall, Mato buried her face into the chest she felt, for now.

Eventually, her heart rate normalized a little bit, though she was still shaking and shivering all over, and she looked up into the eyes of Seras Victoria, who had picked her up and brought her out of harms way, for now. A bit of dust got in her eye, but she blinked it away.
"I`m.. *cough* fine, Seras. Just.. bruised up and my legs feel like jelly..."
She tried to push herself off and get on her own feet, but the steel like muscles of the vampire won`t take any resistance from a frightened girl who could barely understand where she was.
Mato looked around, confused and shaken, as she begun to understand... Seras wanted to get out of the sun as soon as possible, so she took the nearest cover she found... Not a good idea, though.

"Is that...*cough* the basement? It... it might cave in, the plane and the rubble is on top of it... We need to.. find the others and save them, Seras. Someone else must`ve survived this. Lady Hellsing must have survived."

Yes, she had to. Without Integra Hellsing, they were down for the count this time, there would be no rebuilding the manor, and there would be no getting the culprits back.

(OOC) Reviewing the situation, I've come to the conclusion that Mato was far enough away from the blast that she will survive. Her injuries would, most likely, be minor, caused by the residual shockwave and not the fire.

Seras, on the other hand, has left the relative safety of the mansion to run across the field (which Mato has estimated to be a distance of about 100 yards to her position). During this time, Seras explains that the plane has crashed. Given vampire speed, Seras would be injured by the shockwave more than Mato, but not to the point of death or life-threatening injury. However, the mansion has a perimeter guard of land mines. Seras would be crossing this area on the way to the garden, leaving her in the area of effect once the force of the explosion activates a number of them. Assuming Seras is smart enough (Seras the character, not the player) to know the area around the mansion and where the landmines are planted, she will have chosen a path that is clear from threats, meaning no direct hits from the bombs. This does not mean she is safe, though; at least a few of them will be able to inflict glancing damage on her before she can enter the garden.

With all this accounted for, Seras will receive more heavy injuries than Mato, but is most likely not in the position to die. In addition, Seras is currently under the one month invulnerability rule, meaning she is unable to die at this time without her consent.

To summarize, both are injured, but neither are dead. Seras has taken the worst damage of the two.

(I suppose it depends on Seras if she collapses after the adrenalin wears off, or if she pulls through it like when she was turned into shish kebab by Anderson in OVA 1... i`ll go with whatever she chooses. Either way, we know whats going on know and we can plan from here on out.)

Chad had left the docks close to 45 minutes ago, going full-speed towards the mansion. According to the soldier who had told him, it had all happened hours ago after he had left. He had only managed to get in contact with Chad 45 minutes ago. The sun had since gone down, and while he could see the light in the distance, the majority of the fires had long since been put out.

The jeep got as far as it could before he had to stop, right in front of the edge of the destruction caused by the explosion. He hopped out of the jeep and made his way across the newly minted wasteland. Some of the surviving Hellsing forces spotted him and made their way over to him as quickly as they could. "Lieutenant Baxter!" Chad looked at them as they got to him. "How many made it?"

"Still unsure, there might be more still inside the mansion."

"Alright, i'll go in and see if I can't find anyone else. You stay out here, find any men that you can and tend to them."

The soldiers nodded and ran off. Chad made his way to the mansion and stepped inside. It was quiet now. The top floor and the floor below had taken a beating, but the ground floor was still largely intact. He looked around, but he didn't find anyone still on any of the visible 3 floors. He managed to find the entrance to the basement. It was open as if recently used. He descended the stairs into the dark basement. He pulled out a flashlight and shined it around. His footsteps echoed down the halls. He called out. "Hello?! Is anyone alive down here?!" He hoped he could find someone, even just one person.

Having seen what had been taking place on the news, Alexiel had abandoned the ingredient and food shopping he had been doing in London, hopped on his motorcycle, and sped there, not bothering with worrying about authorities, having only muttered "Fuck the police" and sped off down the road for Hellsing mansion. As he neared it, he caught sight of the smoke and fire, when he reached the gates, he stopped his motorbike via a sideways skid, staring at the flames and the twisted wreckage of an aircraft.

"M...My god..." 

Not a minute later, Christie came up behind him, staring at the mansion with a bleak, pale face.
She put a hand on his shoulder, the other was placed on a small pole near the guard post to keep herself from falling over, seeing this image with her own eyes.

"I`ve heard of it on the radio... but i never imagined it`d look like this. Are you okay?"

She knew he was the butler, but for the life of her Christie couldn´t remember his name. Didn`t matter. Butler was fine for now. She stared at her cellphone for a second.... other than Mato, no one had rung in so far.

"Private Kuroi called me earlier, she and a few others are fine, but on the radio they said something about at least thirteen corpses out in the garden..."

The helicopter that had been cruising over the site, filling their heads with noise was forced away by a bigger, armed and dangerous pair of choppers, and slowly, the area became deadly quiet.

Alexiel tensed as he felt the hand on his shoulder, then slowly nodded, surveying the area with his enhanced eyesight. The scene was horrifying, someone having crashed a large, now unrecognizable plane into the Mansion, cutting the top floor in half. He didn't know the name of who was talking to him, but it sounded like a woman. The "Private Kuroi" she spoke of was a mystery to him as well, but he assumed she spoke of someone within Hellsing. Focusing his hearing as well upon the mansion, he heard something, then after a moment, realized it was a cry for help.

Breaking into a sprint for the front of the mansion, Alexiel found the voice's location, near the front of the mansion, just inside a room about fifty feet to the left of the main door. As he neared it, he created a fire upon the window, snuffing out the previous flame by removing the fuel source. His flames then dissipated as he rolled through the window, finding what appeared to be a young recruit pinned under a bookcase. Lifting the bookcase off of the man, removing them from underneath, and dropping the bookcase, Alexiel stepped back, helping the man to stand, but just as he did so, a ceiling beam collapsed above them. Again calling upon his ability, Alexiel created a barrier which deflected the beam to the side, it landing upon the floor with a great thud, the shield itself nearly shattering, cracks evident upon it. 

Lifting the person into his arms, Alexiel once again leaped through the window and sped back to the front gate, away from the danger area, setting the man down next to the woman from earlier, hoping she had more medical training than he did, as the person's left leg was bent at an awkward angle, and he had several pieces of wooden shrapnel in his other leg.

Christie blinked when he suddenly took off without a word... only to cringe a bit as he came back with a young recruit who`s leg had been completely dislocated. It wasn´t broken, not to her knowledge, as nothing sticked out of it in an odd way- but the joints were dislocated for sure.

"Private?" She adressed the guy, seeing his insignia, but not the name tag. Christie took him from Alexiel, placing him on the soft ground for now, trying to get him to rest a little. "Private... Grayson. Listen, i´m gonna help you, but you really gotta bear it with me here... it won´t be pleasent, not in the least. So, bite down on this, will you?"

With that said, she took off her belt and put it into his mouth, to his surprise, but after a moment he nodded, closing his eyes tightly.
Then, she got to work, uncovering the leg as far as possible under some whimpers from him... yea, the bones were intact, as far as she could tell. Still, this wouldn`t be very good...

"Bite down. Now."

Crack. That was one joint of three. A piercing scream escaped his throat, and Christie pushed down on his ribcage to keep him from jerking up.

"I said bite down! Moving around will only make it worse!"

Crack. The second joint, now his knee worked again, but the guy had tears in his eyes already. Sheesh, greenhorn. Try taking a bullet to the chest.

Finally, a third crack, bringing the leg back into its original position... he nearly fainted that time, but instead of doing so, he wiped the tears out of his eyes, and was about to salute, before Christie took the belt out of his mouth.

"Good job. Rest a while, soldier, help is on the way.... but you should be fine from here on out."
She gave him a brief kiss on the lips, then stood back up and slung the belt back around her hips.
That was about all she could do for him, the wooden shrapnel he had in his other leg should be a minor annoyance to having one leg bent out of the way... Besides, it needed to be removed surgically or the splinters would stay inside the flesh and infect the wound.

"Any more injuried people around?" She asked Alexiel, who seemed to be fine tuned for this kind of job.

Alexiel was already standing atop the gate, looking around, utilizing his gloved hand as a shield for his eyes. The sunlight was horrifying, but he was at least covered up. As his vision came upon one area of the estate, he lost his balance and fell off the gate onto his ass. Unharmed, yes.

S-Sir Integra... Alive... but injured. There seems t-to be someone tending to her, as well as another person nearby who is also injured."


As he stood up, dusting himself off, he turned to Christie. "It appears most made it out, but anyone on the top floor..." Alexiel shook his head. "They ended up as Anne and Arth d'Autriche."

Hyaskus was walking back to the mansion, his face marred with blood, face twitching due to the sun, the head of Rory in his hand. Seeing  the smoke, Hyaskus shouted "What the hell?!". Using his vampiric speed to reach the mansion at high speeds. Seeing the ruins of the mansion, the nosferatu dropped the head and leaped over the gate. Seeing Alexiel, he asked, "You, do you know what happened here?" His Amber eyes turning red.

OOC: [09:29:56] Christie Stratford : (Because Integra would be of little use there. I think she`d call for reinforcements rather than for her boss when an obvious vampire, stained in blood with a dismembered head in his hands, who doesn`t even introduce himself or wear the uniform comes to the door of their mansion.)

Christie, still gazing over the mansions grounds to look for a body that was moving, rather than just lying there with several things missing, she was a bit disturbed when someone suddenly called Alexiel from behind her, and turned around.

Being even more disturbed, and instantly pulling out her Target Champion, pointing it at the vampire, who`s face and hand were stained in blood, who had just dropped a head and who´s eyes were glowing red. It didn`t take a second for her to pull the trigger, though in her state of surprise, it would likely miss his heart.

Her other hand shot over to her cellphone, something she didn´t often use in these situations, but right now she could probably use reinforcements. Her first instinct would`ve been to call Integra, but after she didn`t respond earlier it was likely a waste of time- rather than that, she pushed the emergancy button which instantly called every other cellphone registered to Hellsing.

"Code red, code red, code red! Vampire at the front gates!"

Alexiel was about to say something when the ridiculous sound of Christie firing her .357 hit him in the face. Following up with her, he grabbed his 1935 and aimed it at Haskus's head, relying on his vampiric abilities to line up the shot as he sucks with firearms. Besides, at a moment's notice he could just light the vampire on fire to immobilize him long enough for The woman next to him to fill the man with silver.

Much to his surprise, Hyaskus felt the bullet penetrate his chest with a burning sensation. Never encountering silver ammunition he was unable to recover as fast as normal, "Gah! Dammit..." Hyaskus was about to draw his guns but figured it could cause the Vampire Hunters to resort to basic instinct of 'Kill the gun toting Vampire', "Listen. Let us calm down and stop inflicting searing pain on one another, I am not an enemy. Sir Integra sent me with a mission to kill a Vampire. If I succeeded I would join the organization. If you do not believe me, ask Sir Integra if still alive." Hyaskus said, wondering if Integra actually was still alive or not.

Seras limped into the shadows of the basement. Luckily, it was far enough underground that the floor above them wouldn't cave in. She dragged herself to a wall and set Mato down on the ground, leaning her up against it. Her eyes were blazing, the scent of blood, death, and burning flesh heavy in the air. Her hearing picked up the roaring of the flames as they burned the manor, as well as the crumbling of the walls. The Draculina herself stood alert, listening.

"Mato, I'm going to get you out, okay? I brought you down here because this was the safest place at the time..." Soon after she said it, a voice calling out reached her ears. The sound echoed, and she turned her head to the long staircase. Seras leaned against the cold wall, streaks of red trailing down from her wounds and forming a small pool on the floor. Blood also slid down her face, dripping from her chin to join the building crimson puddle at her feet. She took more damage than she thought. She even went out into the sun. This was going to be tricky if she didn't stay alert. The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't tell who it was.

"There are two of Hellsing down here! Mato Kuroi and Seras Victoria!" Despite her wounds, she stayed calm, hoping whoever was up there could help them. She had to get Mato out and find any other survivors. Wounded or not, she had to look. She had a better chance inside the manor than outside anyways.

"I´m going to get you out"? Seras looked like she was hit by a car accident of some sort and she was speaking like Mato had broken legs. It was really nice of her to think of her this way but the puddle of blood at her feet spoke a different story.

"Wait, Seras... i can walk, i think, and you don`t look so good.. Maybe you should take it slow, take a rest or something... I can give you some of my blood if it helps."

Mato stood up a bit shakily, but soon got steady to roll up her sleeve and offer her lower arm to the vampire girl. It would hurt, but it was the least she could do. At least Seras didn`t have to care about band aids or anything.

"Its either that, or we go to save the others together... you`re no use to anyone if you pass out with bloodloss halfway up the stairs." Some harsh words those were but in truth, she simply didn´t know how badly Seras was really hurt and didn´t want her to burn in a fire somewhere if it became too much.

Chad walked with his flashlight for a while before another voice echoed throughout the basement.

"There are two of Hellsing down here! Mato Kuroi and Seras Victoria!"

Chad perked up at the names. He obviously knew Seras, but he had met Mato once or twice. She was deadly efficient at her job. Wasn't someone you would want to fuck with. He picked up his pace and ran down the hall, boots tapping against the stone floor. He came to a room, the door blocked by concrete. He set down the flashlight and went to work on moving the slabs of concrete out of the way. One by one he hefted them up and tossed them aside, almost hitting the flashlight with one of them. When he had finished, he picked up the flashlight and stepped inside, shining it around. He eventually spotted the two of them and walked over to them. "It's good to see both of you. How are you holding up?"

Seras felt light-headed and a little queasy. Mato's offer to help was well appreciated, but Seras shook her head and gently pushed the arm away. The comment about being useless in her state, although true, only encouraged her to prove she could help just fine. Before she could respond, a beam of light fell upon her. It was a flashlight. The brightness triggered a headache, and it only made her feel more sick. Despite that, the one holding the flashlight was Chad Baxter, a welcoming sight.

"Please... Check Mato first." Seras began to slide down the wall, her legs refusing to hold her up any longer. Her eyes closed, and she felt like she needed to sleep. Her eyes began to slip closed. That is, until a horrible noise above ripped her away from sleep. She could feel power unlike any other up above. Of course he was there to help. How could she have forgotten? The Draculina was unaware of the other two in the room with her as she attempted to stand. Her legs still weren't cooperating, though. Instead, she sat back against the wall, shaking her head to resist slumber.

"He's helping... Everything will be... f-fine..." Her eyes shut again, but she couldn't open them again. Sleep was too tempting, and she needed rest. "Yeah... I'll sleep now, but... don't leave the basement, okay? It's not safe to go out yet..."

"Okay.... fine, i won`t."
Mato nodded, a bit reluctantly, but if that was what Seras, who pretty much saved her life, wanted her to do, thats what she`d do. 
Saying this, she turned back to Baxter, who was still shining a flashlight down.
"Dude, cut the lights. We can see you quite well. ...and i`m fine, really, just a bit shaken up, and my ears still ring from that explosion... "
Mato began to think. If Seras didn`t allow her to leave the basement, then saving others was out of the question for her... Seras herself would never be able to make it like this, so what was going to happen was that both of them were stuck down here. Ultimatively, this led to a conclusion from her side.
"Seras... you don´t find much rest outside of your coffin, right? So if you`re too sleepy to walk, i`ll lend you a hand, if you don`t mind." With that, she meant reversing roles and picking the petite vampire up herself to bring her back to sleep.

Chad kneeled next to them and looked them over. "Neither of you look so good, though i'm glad you're both still alive." He turned off the flashlight since it seemed to be causing some issues. "The sun has gone down by now, I can help the both of you get out of here and up to the surface. Though I suppose we'll need to find a way to keep her.." He gestures to Seras. ".. from getting hit by sunlight in the morning. I don't just wanna leave her down here." Chad stands up. "Miss Kuroi, can you stand?"

(The dungeon is quite well sealed off from any sunlight... Why would she be in danger of that? )

OOC: Read a bit closer. Chad wants to take her to the surface, however they'll need to find a way to keep her out of the sun once morning comes, as the sun set by this time. He doesn't want to leave her down there in basement. He would rather have everyone present and accounted for and attended to, which includes Vampires. He went down there with the goal to find survivors and get them out, not leave them behind.

An examination of the once magnificent manor would mean nothing to Darius, seeing how he was never one for architecture, and he had never laid his eyes on the building before him. It was definitely not a place he would trust himself to stay in, what with the complete wreck that the mansion took. Darius began to question the judgement of the vampire who had led him here. Perhaps it was the insanity of the situation, but even the words of a supernatural being couldn't change his opinion of this place. The time was close to midnight before Darius made his decision. He took one hesitant step toward the Hellsing Mansion's front gates, a step toward a very gray area of his already confusing life.

Stumbling towards the building Cassandra was clad in nothing but her undergarments, patches of blood on her body from the wolves she feasted upon for strength but that was draining it seemed, her wounds form earlier were still stinging and her body needed rest.  Though powered by the supernatural her body had its limits and they were now painfully clear as she collapsed at the gates Ah.ahh d-damn she mumbled under her breath, the growing need to rest for a moment was increasing but she was determined to get into this building, hoping it had the answers she was looking for.

Pulling herself up she managed to stand, the vampires body in a strange sensation right now, her body was in pain from merely moving Need..to get in.. she mumbled, moving a little Nee..d to find...h..im. The draculana's wounds scorched with the pain of the holy weapons that were fired through it right up to the point she collapsed, as her eyes closed she noticed some figures running towards her...
