Interesting Reunion.

Hyaskus was walking towards the Local Library to see what they had. It was a murky night with a quarter moon in the sky. Entering the building, the Vampire noticed a rather interesting book. It was a tome on the French Revolution. Picking it up Hyaskus checked it out and headed back into the night, reading while he walked.

What a strange night to have been out; Darius usually didn't go to libraries this late, but here he was, on his way to a book store at 10 pm... But there was something in the air beckoning to him on this very night. He turned and saw a man in a very peculiar outfit for his age. It was as if he was coming from a costume party, his purple cape standing out like a light in the shadows.

Hyaskus continued walking and nearly tripped over Darius, "I am terribly sorry." He would say in broken french, then proceeded to pick up the book he dropped. "Weird for someone of your age to be going to Libraries this late, don't you think?" He asked, assuming that was where he was heading.

Darius was taken aback by how terribly this man has spoken French, but, no matter."I know. As a matter of fact, I would say the same thing for you..." Darius looked over at the book the man was clutching In his hand, but his arm blocked most of the front cover. "What's that you got there?" Darius spoke slowly, as not to embarrass his French.

Hyaskus would blush from embarrassment if his blood circulated, "Terribly sorry but can you speak english? I know my French is awful." He said in English then looked at the book, "Oh this is just a book about the French Revolution..." He continued to say, "You know what they say. It is the only war the French could win." He chuckled to himself wondering if this man could take a joke.

Happy to see a man of his own native language, Darius smiled. The joke was wry in every way, and he immediately felt a connection to this stranger. He laughed heartily and tried his best French accent out: "we surrender!!!"

Hyaskus chuckled slightly, "Oh good because honestly I did not want to be the emperor of France." He said leading the man back to the library, "To be honest I am older than I look." When the Vampire saw him he felt something was off about him. He had a heartbeat so he was not a Nosferatu but did not feel human, "So is there any book in particular you are looking for?" He asked but was still wary of him.

Darius felt like the blood was drained from his face at the question. "Wolves", he said. "A certain type of wolf." He looked up at the sky, expecting a creature to fall from the heavens once more.

Hyaskus Looked at Darius, his eyes glowing slightly, "Well it is always good for one to discover one's roots..." He said, showing his fangs for a brief moment. The Vampire knew what he was now: A werewolf. At this point he would not be surprised if every man in France was a Werewolf at this point seeing three in the past month.

Darius spotted the fangs, focusing on them. Blood rushed to his head. His mouth dry, and his palms becoming sweaty. "You know," Darius's voice trembling. " Please, you have to help me." Darius was already saying his final words, and took one step back, intending to flee.

Hyaskus drew his Smith & Wesson 500 and pointed it at Darius, "No need to run. What is it you need help with?" The Vampire said with a kind of venom in his voice. Inwardly he smiled, knowing his pilfered pistol was filled with Silver ammunition. He was not going to let another Lycan escape without knowing more about them.

Darius began to feel a heat coursing through his body. Looking down at his hands, he fletch his vision waning, and his hearing become more sensitive. He felt his teeth cut through his soft, fleshy lip, allowing a flow of blood to pour inward. "What's happening to me!!!" He watched as his hands rapidly grew fur, while the bones within them contorted.

Hyaskus' eyes widened in surprise. Could this guy really not know what he is? He thought to himself. Regaining his composure, he put away his gun and drew his sword wanting to know what the hell this beast can do, "Your true form is rearing it's ugly head." He said, grinning.

With the last of his humanity, Darius roared; not that of pain, or surprise, but just to know that he still had control. The bones in his jaw snapped and twisted, extending his head forward and making a snout out of his humanoid face. His cries of pain now sounding more like the yowls of a dog than that of a Human in pain. He looked up at the moon, now completely beyond his form, and could only watch through the beast's eyes as an immortal vampire fights the body that is now his prison. What a strange way to die...

Hyaskus leaped at the Werewolf, twisting his body in an attempt to kick the beast with such force that he would stumble several feet, "For a Seven Foot tall man beast you are quite pathetic." He muttered.

Anticipating an incoming attack, the beast loosened his muscles and attempted to dodge, and just ducked under the kick. Now several feet away, the beast lashed out wildly at hyaskus, lacerating his left arm before he could roll away.

Hyaskus grunted, dropping his blade, "Perhaps I spoke too soon..." The vampire said, picking up his sword with his right arm, he charged at the beast again and tried to slash his blade across the Lycan with such force it should leave a large gash across his chest, the blood flowing quite steadily.

Blood poured freely onto the floor at the feet of the beast. It roared angrily, and watched as hyaskus's wound healed. Pissed off, the beast charged angrily, with an undying rage, aiming precisely at the small of hyaskus's shoulder blade, intending to cut it off.

Hyaskus smelled the blood and became more determined by it. With this focus and renewed vigor, he jumped above the Lycan and landed behind him, "I am getting rather tired of this fight." The Vampire then attempted to knock out the Beast with a blow to the head with the hilt of his blade.

The beast stumbled backwards, unable to see, lashed out wildly once, and missed, and felt the cold hard sting of the blade hit him in the back of his head, as everything went dar.

Hyaskus sighed, sheathing his blade, "I suppose that is enough knowledge gained..." He said then walked to his book, now in tatters, "Oh man...how am I able to return this now?" The Nosferatu fretting almost comically about the book considering he just fought a Werewolf.

(This son of a bitch had to get the last word in, but I shall give him no satisfaction!) As the blood poured freely out of his unconscious body, the wounds slowly closed themselves. The fur off of his body, now slowly shedding, as well as the erected bones retracting. It was nearing daylight, and Darius felt himself being lifted up into the dark alley to the side of the library. With a light hissing noise, Darius felt a silver eating utensil against his knuckle as he awoke that morning. He rose quickly, startled, as well as appalled by his now nude body. He would have to get home somehow, clothes, or not...( this is just some extra fodder I felt the need to add in, especially to explain how much of an ass that hyaskus can be.
