PostSubject: Re: The Front Steps/The Judean Square   The Front Steps/The Judean Square - Page 3 EmptyWed Sep 21, 2011 10:35 pm

Michels targeting system was dead on, like 98% of the time, he noticed the man fly forward just as the grenade went off, surly his own explosion would of done damage to him along with the bullet, the only problem was that the wall have collapsed and blocked the hallway. It didn't matter. Michel was a expert of sorts at making his own doors when they were needed. Target hit, though killed is uncertain. Target seems to possess regeneration abilities of an advanced level. Switching to Search mode, placing combat mode on Stand-by. The cyborg let the empty clips fall from his two weapons as he walked toward the collapsed debris and loaded new ones in by sliding St, Catharine and St, Teresa into his cassock and loaded the new ones. He finally made it to the fallen part of the wall and stood there for a second, before turning to the wall just beside him that hadn't been blow up, lifted his heavy boot, thrusted it forward with such force that the wall flew inward with a loud crashing of its own, crumbling to the ground and allowing him to enter a room that was on the other side.

He made his way through the hole, turned the same way the hallway went down and walked a few feet in that direction before turning toward the same wall and making another one of his homemade doors by kicking the wall again, sending the massive chunk flying into the hallway on the other side of the collapsed debris. He made his way out of the hole and turned back to make his way after Deadpool. He suddenly bolted off of in a all out run, using his robotic limbs to push him down the halls and around what ever corners he had to go around at speeds that even a mid-class vampire could match. Connecting to secure wireless link.. Connection complete, accessing security system's. Connecting to camera's and accessing the maps. Access complete, target is down the hall on the left, heading to the armory. commencing pursuit.

Batcave (limbo) <---

Yesterday's search was more productive than the dark knight had imagined. Not only did the computers reveal that the British prime minister had a connection to all of this, the cigar he'd found revealed a few remaining traces of DNA. From who, he wasn't sure. The computer was searching all the public files from around the world for a match. Seeing the second bombing site below him, the caped crusader lowered his plane, jumping out of it before commanding it to circle the area.

The ground was the same as the castle's; broken, full of holes, missile fragments littering the area. He scanned the area, noting that the Vatican building was strangely undamaged. His search was far less productive, his evidence bags barely filled with objects. He still had no clue as to who was behind it, other than they had some connection to the prime minister and were apparently called the Knights of the Damned. Hopefully London would prove more fruitful. If anything, the DNA test could potentially find a new lead. It was more than likely just the prime minister again, as he is a smoker.

Heavy boot steps lead the way for the Cybernetic priest, his robotic legs lead him down the same hallways he had chased Deadpool down only days ago which had already been cleaned up. The repairs on the vatican were mostly complete aside from a few broken windows and such, the same could not be said for outside though. The recent scud missile that had hit the city had ruined it almost as bad as when the Knights had attacked them, even now repairs were still underway for the surrounding buildings around the vatican and the repairs on the city of rome. The Cyborgs face was blocked out by a dark veil which made his eyes shine an emerald green color as he marched out the door, the light of the sun slowly erasing the dark shadows covering his face as he stepped out to the top of the stairs. Father Michel Miles stood at the top step with the tail of his cassock flopping out behind him in the breeze, the long ten foot scarf that was drapped over his shoulders and decorated with two crossed at each end also danced in the wind. The priests face seemed...void of emotion, void of life and feeling. Michels eyes flashed a dark green color once more as a crosshare appeared on both of his eyes, his targeting system searching the area infront of the vatican before it locked onto a man that was dressed...rather strangely. Of course this didn't interest Michel in the least, not only was he not programed to care, he had fought a man not to long ago who dressed similar, but in a more colorful outfit.

Michel moved his gloved hands to his side as he waited a few moments, regestering the situation with his current orders he had gotten from his higher ups since Arch bishop Maxwell was not reachable at the moment, he finally parted his robotic lips to speak in his dull, emotionless and monotone voice. Unidentified Life form detected. Warning, Unauthorized personnel; The vatican is currently under lock down until repairs are made. State your business or you will be treated as a hostile.

Just as he was dropping a piece of metal into a thick plastic bag, the detective noticed a man walk out of the Vatican doors. For quite a while, he simply stood there, exchanging glares with the Caped Crusader. As the man spoke, several things came to mind: the voice was obviously that of some robot (he hadn't seen one of those in a while), the Vatican would definitely need to be investigated at some point, and this man was not going to be easy to deal with. Hopefully negotiations would keep a battle from starting.

"I'm not looking for a fight," he spoke in a deep voice. "I'm searching the area for clues to the bombings. This is for your benefit as well." Keeping his arms concealed beneath his cape, a compartment on the yellow belt was opened. The Dark Knight's fingers touched a key pad, sending a signal for the Batplane to make its way back, either for take-off or for assistance in an upcoming fight.

That statement does not matter. Looking for a fight or not, you are in a restricted area without an authorized person with you. Adding on; Searching for clues? Negative, your help is not needed for that. Classified information will not be given out to non-vatican memebers. The Vatican is fully capable of conducting their own investigation., nothing the cyborg said would give away any real information. People all around the world knew that the vatican hard its own security, its own investigation squad so to speak. Michel had already failed once during this attack when he allowed that masked man, with the regenerating ability, to even step foot in the vatican, it would not happen this time. The cyborgs robotic eyes instantly shot to the mans belt around his waist and Michels hands moved into his pockets, expecting the man to try something stupid, the cyborgs hands reached around his new handgun grips, his 20mm pistols would be enough to pretty much deal with anything....aside from maybe Alucard from Hellsing, a slight clicking sound came from the cyborg as he removed the safety from his guns, still keeping them hidden in his pockets, noticing the plane that had been circling the area begin making its way back. I will state it again more clearly. Remove yourself from the premises, lock down is absolute until repairs are made.

"I'll say this one more time; I'm not looking for a fight." The detective pressed a few more buttons before closing the pad, setting an offensive command to his aircraft to attack in 45 seconds. Moving the cape from in front of his body, Batman pulled a boomerang-shaped weapon from his belt, unfolding it into a bat design. "I don't want to hurt you, but if you try to stand in my way, I will take you down." He had already drawn a smoke bomb. Since his opponent was a machine, it wouldn't be much help, but it could buy time while his eyes adjusted to the smoke. His fist clenched around the tiny sphere, his other hand gripping the end of his Batarang, it seemed like it was finally time for some action.

Michel noticed the man press a few more buttons on his belt and raise his cape, like some kind of comic book hero or something. Michel, even though he was a machine, could feel emotions because he had a brain stem, though it was VERY rare, however this time he felt...annoyance. First the colorful fruitcake with the mentality of a 3 year old child comes charging into the vatican looking for a teleporter, who just wouldn't die, and now this....and Human who thinks hes a bat..with a fancy plane and belt, and some kind of bat boomerang type weapon. Target locked. Unauthorized personnel did not heed the warnings. Switching from "Warning Mode" to "Homicide mode". Targets: Two., the cyborgs emotionless, monotone voice never changed as he pulled his two new handguns out of his deep cassock pockets, shining in the light like weapons from the Holy God himself, both made to be a compact versions of the Anti-Materiel Rifle, compacting all the pressure and force of such a powerful gun into such a small container makes it very hard for normal humans to fire it, capable of dislocating a persons shoulder from simply firing it.

Both barrels were approximately 56cm (22 inches) in length and a weight of 18kg (39 lbs), their titanium shelling could stop most bullets and swords, carbon steel gunmetal construction was solid and steady. Both barrels were decorated with names stating "Iscariot Tech; Dual saint Special". These weapons of his fired 20mm bullets, which were used against tanks, aircraft, and even buildings. No human could fire it with out being wounded, nothing could survive being shot by it. Michel noticed the plane getting closer and closer as he aimed one of them toward the bat person and the second at the plane, Begin combat.., Michels eyes flashed green as a single 20mm bullet flew from each gun, sending a massively loud popping sound ripping through the air as the death bullets flew toward their targets.

Even while standing several feet away, the Dark Knight still felt the shock from simply firing those guns. Slamming the pellet into the ground, a cloud of dark gray smoke covered his form as he evaded the bullet. Hiding behind a broken piece of building, he saw the bullet impact against a brick wall, then finally embed itself into a house, leaving a large hole where the wall had been. Can't afford to be hit, those aren't normal guns. Activating the his Detective Mode, Batman peered at the cyborg from behind the rubble, making note of any movements he would make next.

In the sky, the timer was counting down. Luckily, the man's speech had helped shave some seconds off, and the offensive command kicked in a moment before he began firing. Evading the shot fired at it, the Batplane unleashed a torrent of rubber bullets as it flew overhead, not exactly aiming at the target, but trying to give its owner some assisting fire. After passing over, it swung back around to initiate a second assault.

Michel noticed the smoke bomb go off with the caped crusader vanishing with in the cloud of smoke, even though his his bullet missed he saw where it had impacted, he even saw his bullet impact one of the buildings that was beside the plane when it had managed to dodge the shot, blowing of a huge chunk of building with it. Adjusting angle 2.8%, continuing combat., Michel moved his left arm to the side moving the barrel in the direction of the wall where he had seen the his last bullet hit, Michel had the advantage here. He was still linked up to the security system of the vatican which pretty much gave him eyes on the whole compound through the security cameras, one of the security cameras gave him eyes on where the batman was which is why he aimed in the same direction as the first bullet by a few more inched to the right.

Michel was then drawn toward the bat plane who was now firing at him, though Michel did not move for he had complete confidence in his metal frame and upgrades that he could withstand the hail of fire. Too Michels surprise they were only...rubber bullets? The sheer impact on them was strong enough to make the mechanical paladin take a step back but he held his ground, this time moving both of his guns toward the wall where the batman was hiding behind and pulled the triggers back, sending two more bullets flying toward the building wall. The cyborg didn't worry about a second pass around at the moment by the plane, the building was behind him and Michel was only a few steps outside the front door, it would have to circular back around in front of him to shoot again. The two 20mm bullets when bolting across the air as they were launched from their hand held death cannons, though they were aimed slightly off target of the batmans body to drive him back. He would not kill the man unless needed.

Somehow the man had figured out his position, the shots fired at him being proof enough. At this point he had to assume he had some form of x-ray in his optical receptors, meaning he had no cover. At least the Batplane had seemed to have thrown him off, as both bullets missed their mark, though the one closest managing to take a nice piece of his cape with it. Deciding cover was no longer an option, he bolted from behind what was left of the rubble, sending the Batarang towards the man's face. His right hand pulled the grapnel gun free, firing it in the cyborg's general direction, hoping to pull one of the guns from him. A second round of rubber came raining to aid in the distraction.

Michel bolted off from the top step of the stairway with inhuman speed, his robotic legs pushing him along with the speed of a mid-level vampire which would appear as a blur to most - if not all human eyes, the cyborgs heavy metal body was surprisingly pushed forward with immense speed just as he saw the Batman rush out from behind cover, moving his head down just enough so the batarang flew over head, then moved his arm down to the side so the bat grappling hook missed it by inched, and without even taking his eyes off the batman the cyborg moved his right hand up toward the plane that had circled around to lay down more cover fire, Michel simply stopped about 45 yards from the caped man and brought his left hand gun to bear on the plane, obviously annoyed with its remote control robotics and let forth the rest of the entire clip in its general area, the robots finger pulling the triggers so fast it seemed like an fully automatic weapon, before moving his right handgun out toward the batman and letting off one more round toward his shoulder. The cyborg was going for a non kill shot but with these weapons, even he wasn't sure if the man would survive.

The robot seemed to have evaded all of his attacks; not good. The plane's wing was hit as well, and try as it might to stabilize, it was simply done. Taking that into account, more buttons were pushed on the belt after the grappling hook reloaded itself. Stopping momentarily to fall back and evade the bullet, a final command was sent, causing the plane to spin as it plummeted to the ground and in the direction of the cyborg. Hoping for the plane to pose one last distraction, the Dark Knight shot the grapnel once more, but at the Vatican's fortress itself this time. The line attached, pulling him up and onto one of the windows. From there, he would plan his next attack.

Michel noticed the batman jump back and shoot a grappling line to the vatican window to get away from the machine, which was understandable. Michel stayed facing the plane as he saw the now huge wreck of metal with a smoking wing spinning toward him. Michel calculated the time it would take for the plane to hit him and simply let the empty clip fall from the gun in his left hand, dropping the empty cartage on the ground before casually reloading it with a bit of a rushed effort, but that was understandable. The cyborgs eyes flashed a bright green as he moved both his guns out toward the spinning pile of metal and let off several powerful shots, the armor piercing, 20mm rounds tore through the large air craft with such force large chucks of metal were ripped off, the force of each bullet hitting the plane not only tore large holes and peices from it, it also slowed the plane down. After letting off five rounds from each gun the cyborg simply turned around and began walking back toward the vatican, the batplane crashing into the ground behind him and exploding in a massive ball of flame, smoke, and debris. A dark shadow covered Michels body due to the flames erupting from behind him, his eyes glowing their emerald green color as he moved both his guns up and bent his arms at the elbows, looking at the batman. Combat mode on temporary hold; Initiating last waring; Leave the vatican soil or I will eliminate you..

The Caped Crusader watched as his vehicle was shot to pieces. Smothering the anger he felt at having one of his inventions destroyed in such a way, he took three batarangs from his belt, spraying each with a coating of explosive gel, dropping the empty canister to the ground (and later, about where the cyborg's head would end up). Instead of listening to his retort, Batman simply jumped from the window, throwing all three of his weapons at once, the explosives primed and ready to go off once they impacted a surface. These were simply meant as a distraction though, as he flung his cape over his shoulders, slipping behind it and attempting to land in front of the man to force him into close combat; those guns were too dangerous to be used at point blank.

The moment the man threw his threw boomerangs Michel was already on the move, leaping back several feet before he was forced to come to a stop due to he wreck behind him. Plan recalculating..., Michels left hand jerked upward as he let off one round from his handcannon, the 20mm round tore though one of the batarangs and caused it to explode, the knocking the other two off course and having them fly into the building behind him, also exploding and crumbling what was left of the ruined building to the ground. The smoke however that was created by the first explosion was a disadvantage for Michel, he moved his gun up to aim at the batman but he would be enveloped by the smoke, blocking the cyborgs vision. Re-recalculating.. Guns at close range pose mediocre threat to me as well, possible damage. Switching from long range fighting mode to Close-quarters-combat., Michel spun his two guns around his fingers like an expert gunslinger and put each one in his deep cassock pockets before he moved his right hand into his cassock and grabbed one of his blade handles, jerking the sword from the confines of his priest robes as he lunged toward where he predicted the Batman would land. Close-combat engaged!

His plan had worked; the batarangs had provided enough of a distraction to allow him to get to the ground. He hadn't counted on his opponent having a sword, but even that wasn't a problem. The slash directed at him had cut his discarded cape, leaving him unharmed and ready to attack. Running up to the cyborg, Batman let loose a powerful right hook aimed at his metal jaw, planning to follow up with a sweep to the legs.

(OOC) Cape hit approved.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
--------------
Michels blade his the batmans cape which surprised the cyborg, though it wasn't shown on his face. A cape blocked his blade? Such a thing... Really? Michel pulled his sword back just as the man rushed forward and threw and right hook toward Michels face, the blank look on the cyborgs face never changed as he took a step in ward and jerked his head forward with all his might, slamming his reinforced steel skull into the mans gloved hand, to Michels surprise...it was hard...but so was Michels skull and metal frame. Michel slammed both of his feet both in a locking position as he placed his hands on his knees, as if accepting the mans challenge for Hand-to-hand combat with a blank stare on his face, showing just how head strong {literally} he was. When he noticed the Leg sweep coming when the batman ducked down to sweep his legs, the cyborg simply hoped over it, letting the mans leg sweep under him harmlessly. However, when Michel came down he suddenly turned into nothing more than a blur of motion, spinning around at such speed his form seemed to blur out of focus as he brought his right foot out, standing on his left and send his right boot flying toward the batmans head.

I assumed since you went for a leg sweep you crouched down like most people do..but who knows.. your the god dammed batman.

The blow missed its mark, but still managed to connect. His knuckles stung, but that was nothing he couldn't deal with. His sweep was avoided, barely having the time to bring his arms up to block the kick. He was knocked back, rolling a few times on the ground. The Caped Crusader reclaimed his name sake, strapping the damaged material back around his neck, grabbing some of it in his right fist. He came back for another blow, only instead of a punch, he threw the heavy cape material at the cyborg's face, hoping to stun him. If that managed to work, he'd be able to let loose a barrage of punches at the mechanical monstrosity. If not, he'd more than likely get stabbed or hit in the face.

Michel lowered his foot as the man got to his feet with his cape in hand. The cyborg brought his fists up in a semi protective stance, it was no martial art, no real form or style to it, it was just instinct or thats what it felt like, like a more refined form of street fighting. Michel rushed forward a few steps as the batman also did, however Michles vision was suddenly blotted out by a large black darkness...the batmans cape had landed on his head and drapped down over his eyes. Unlike most people however who would just stop at the sudden shock that most would get from suddenly loosing their sight, Michel kept going forward, like a large metal tank or artificial muscle, steel, and fake flesh. The cyborg through his arms out wide as he leaped forward in an attempt to spear tackle the batman like a human bullet, one powerful leap forward sent him flying head first toward the capeless crusader in a headlong dive. Michel wasn't worried about his guns falling out, his pockets were deep enough, the sword in his right hand would be used in a finishing blow if he could land on top of the man and end it with one clean swing of blessed steel.

Seeing his stun have no effect, the Dark Knight was knocked back by the tackle, a shooting pain in his stomach. Before anything else could happen, his legs were pulled up, kicking the man off him, allowing him to stand once again. It seems this man was nothing like the robots he'd fought before- not even A.M.A.Z.O. was this stubborn. Spraying the knuckles of his right hand with explosive gel, he took a stance and waited for a chance to finish the fight with a single punch.

Michel had done it! He had brought the man down and now the only thing left to do was bring his sword into the mans skull. Just as the two hit the floor Michel lifted his hand, the sword as well, in an attempt to bring it down on the batmans skull, but was just as quickly kicked off and flew backwards a few feet, skidding along the concrete, his sword flying from his grip and landing a few feet away. Michel rose to his feet seemingly unharmed, his arms once again moving back into his strange fighting stance. Michel had also noticed the gel he had put on his glove and he knew what it did as well.. after shooting a boomerang that exploded once covered with the stuff, he knew taking a direct hit from it could mean his metal fame would be going in for repairs. Close combat is more risky at this point.. Running situation through computer...., Michel stood still for a few moments as he watched the batman for any sudden moved before silently going back to his inner computer, Solution found. Close-combat/Gun mode feint.. 67% Failure rate... Confirmed., Michel moved his hand into the other side of his cassock to the inner flap, pulling his last sword from his priest robes and crouching down just a bit.

Moments passed before the cyborg suddenly bolted off toward the batman at full speed, the blurring image of the priest rushed toward the batman and swung his sword to the right in a wide side swiping motion in an attempt to get the mans attention on the blade, while his other hand quickly reached into his coat pocket and produced one of his Anti-materiel handguns, St.Catherine, and thrusted the barrel out toward the mans chest ready to pull the trigger just at the right moment.

This fight was getting to be a bother, and the Dark Knight wanted it over as soon as possible. Seeing another sword come at him from the side, he raised his arm, blocking the blade with the scallops on his forearm. This seemed to have been a feint, as a gun was being produced as the sparks flew from the impact. He was ready though; he wasn't about to waste that explosive gel punch. His fist flew at the cyborg's arm, hoping to either catch him during the process of taking the weapon out or just hit the gun altogether. Either way, he'd be short one weapon for the rest of the fight, and that could potentially win the battle for the Batman.

The man seemed to be more skilled then Michel realized as he did not step back like Michel wanted him to, but instead used his scallops to stop the blade, and in came the thing Michel was trying to avoid...that damn explosive Gel. Michel's computerized brain was already on the move to find a solution to this problem, his computer like brain tossing suggestions left and right, sorting out the best ones to use before finally settling on one. Michel let go of his sword handle and let it fall, then jerked his arm over to intercept the batmans exploding punch, not head on of course as that would be suicide. No, instead Michel slipped his hand passed the mans fist and onto his wrist, stopping the batmans punch just before it collided with anything to set it off, and in this position if it did go off they would both take damage from it, the only difference is, is that Michel could be rebuilt while the batman could not. While his other hand held the gun he did not fire but instead kept it aimed at the batmans stomach area as insurance. Running calculations..... Completed; Seeing as how we are locked, and you already at a disadvantage, will you retreat?

Seeing the robots apparent overconfidence amused the Dark Knight, causing him to form one of his rarely seen grins. Pulling his hand forward with the man attached, he slammed his free arm into the cyborg's neck. A blow like that would easily destroy a normal person's throat, but judging by the loud clunking noise he heard with the impact, his opponent's neck was also made of metal. The added benefit of being out of the line of fire was a God-send as well. Wrenching his hand free from the (literal) vise grip, the detective dropped several smoke bombs around the both of them. Making a flip over the man, he landed behind him, turning for a strong punch to the back. Hopefully his fist would hit the mark and end the fight there and then.

(OOC) Neck slam approved by Tres.

Michels head was knocked to the side by the mans chop to the neck, though Michel felt nothing from it in terms of pain or feeling since he had no nerves, the jerking motion also made his gun move off mark and away from the batmans stomach. Michel was about to make a comeback when the smoke pellets went off and covered the two in the black, smoky veil, to Michel this was his chance. The cyborg knew this mans tactics now, at least some of them anyway, just as soon as the smoke covered them the cyborg dove forward in an attempt to tackle the batman again but simply flew out the other end and continued for a few feet, it appeared the batman had jumped over him, which was an amazing feat for any human actually, this also got him out of range from the batmans punch. The cybernetic priest came into a roll a few yards away and came into a crouching position as he looked back at the smoke cloud which was now beginning to clear. For a mere human this man was posing quite persistent, most vampire would of fell to the cyborgs weapons by now, and most would get dominated in Hand-to-hand due to his metal frame, but this human was something else, to michel this was unacceptable. He was built to destroy, kill, and demolish anything that went against the church and his orders, humans included.

The cyborgs eyes flashed once again to a dark green color as he rose to his feet, pulling his guns from his pockets and bringing them to bare on the batman, aiming them directly at the caped human. Total damage: 0%, minor denting, nothing worth mentioning. You have used up your chance to escape. You will be caught - if not killed - and be brought in for questioning as to why you are investigating on vatican soil.. The cyborg did not hesitate or even give a second thought as he pulled both the triggers back, sending a few shots directly toward the man with both of his weapons, now that the plane was taken care of, both weapons could be used against this man. 5 bullets shot forward, two from the left gun and 3 from the right, each an armor piercing, 20mm bullets. Two were aimed at the mans knees, two more aimed at his shoulders, the last one however was actually aimed at the humans head.

PostSubject: Re: The Front Steps/The Judean Square   The Front Steps/The Judean Square - Page 3 EmptyThu Jan 12, 2012 6:18 pm

In one swift motion, the Dark Knight pulled a batarang, scraping the explosive gel from his knuckles and tossing it in the direction of the bullet aimed for his left shoulder. Using the momentum from the swing, he was able to avoid the bullets aimed at his head, his other shoulder, and his left leg by spinning on his right leg. Unfortunately, he'd underestimated how much he'd needed to spin, causing the other bullet to scrap through the side of his calf. He let out a loud yell of pain, the blood starting to pour from his leg. He toppled over as the bullets crashed against the wreckage of his plane.

Pressing his hand against the bloody gash on his leg, the Caped Crusader grabbed his Grapnel gun and shot it at the cyborg's head, hoping the remnants of the explosion the bullet and batarang had caused would provide some cover. Regardless of having it hit or not, a ledge was behind him; he could easily propel himself up for an attack or an escape into the Vatican itself. He held the button to activate the device, allowing for an extra burst of speed from the small grappler.

Michel was astounded.... Honestly this man dodged all five, well four, of the bullets he had launched with one scraping his calf. The cyborg's heavy boot moved forward one step which kicked up a small dust ball which blew away in the slight breeze, keeping his guns on the injured bat, his metallic frame moving forward with the intent of capturing the man and bringing him in for interrogation when the bat suddenly produced a grapple gun. The same one he had tried to use earlier. Michel noticed it was aimed at his head which was a illogical choice for Michel to comprehend, most grapple guns were used to attach someone to buildings, shooting someone with it was illogical unless it was used as a last defense. The cyborg simply lifted his right arm up and let the hook end imbed itself into his robotic frame and fake flesh, quickly moving the gun in his left hand into his mouth, his teeth holding the gun by the chamber before reaching around and grabbing a hold of the wire. Damage to right arm; 0.2% Michel suddenly slid his hand along the wire and then jerked backward in an attempt to pull the batman forward toward him.

This had been easier than he'd thought it would be. The robot's suspected counter attack only helped to propel him at his target. As the pull worked in tandem with the Grapnel gun's own retracting line, Batman was launched forward, aiming for a rushed left hook to the jaw. From there, he'd deliver a spinning kick with his injured leg. It would hurt, but doing damage was more important than feeling a little pain. Regardless of what happened, he'd need to escape and rethink his strategy. With the gun rewound, he'd be able to shoot it into a window and pull himself inside the castle. From there, he'd have a chance to tend to his leg.

Michel had expected this since the only reason he had grabbed the mans wire in the first place was to bring him in close and use the mans own speed against him. After giving a quick, powerful jerking motion he pulled the batman forward which seemed to work to the bats favor as well, since it worked in-sync with the grapple guns rewind. Michel lowered his head a bit and stepped in ward, letting the batmans hand rush overhead with out any harm down, then the cyborg lifted his own knee up with caught the mans foot just as his foot came around for the spinning kick, blocking the kick with his own knee, the metal kneecap taking most of the force. Michels eyes flashed once again as he noticed his chance, it was here! With his knee up that he used to stop the kick with he forced it forward so he could step inward, pulling his left hand back and thrust it forward with full force, the full force of his own strength and all his body weight behind it which would send a normal person flying backwards, and shatter quite a few ribs in the process.

Feeling the searing pain and a good amount of blood gush from his leg, the Dark Knight realized his attack was unsuccessful. He had accounted for this though, instantly pointing the gun upwards the moment he felt the impact. The button pressed, he began to move upwards, avoiding the punch that followed, and aiming his knee for the man's face. Hopefully he'd be able to get that hit in while he escaped into the window. Landing at the top, he jumped through into the halls of the Iscariot castle.

Michel was knocked back by the mans knee which hit him in the chin and forced him to stumble a few steps back, keeping the gun between his teeth all the while and not letting go. A fake tooth in the back of his mouth was also knocked loose. After watching the man ascend even higher to his point of entry, Michel had once again felt a sense of anger rush over him. He had not only failed to stop this man and make him leave, but he had once again allowed an enemy to set foot inside the holy palace. Michels left eye twitched a bit, something which rarely happened, if ever. Michel moved his gun from his mouth and let the empty cartridges fall to the ground and looked on as the man climbed into the window he reloaded his guns. Michels face was blank but one could tell he was not only furious, but extremely pissed off by the way his voice would seem. Unforgivable. Target shall no longer be given any mercy. Target is to be exterminated on sight. Combat mode ending, switching to Genocide mode! Commencing pursuit!, Michels form suddenly blurred as he rushed forward in a head long run, his torso leaned so far forward it would seem parallel to the ground almost with his arms out behind him. Rushing toward the wall the cyborg's powerful legs seemed like they were given the strength of god himself as he leaped up in one massive jump, shooting up to the window the batman had entered and literally shattered what was left of the window as he flew into it after the man.

Rolling to the ground, Batman tugged on the Grapnel gun, trying to pull whatever it might have attached to out of the hole in the Vatican building. If it was the cyborg man, that fall would definitely cause some damage. If not, at least he got his claw back.

Seeing the man shoot at him wasn't much of a bother; the distance made evading the bullets quite easy. Deciding to take a few souvenirs, the Dark Knight found a bullet casing and slipped it into a pouch on his belt. Near it looked to be a finger, obviously from the cyborg. He took it as well, hoping to adapt the metal he was made of for armor. From behind he felt a gust of wind, and turned to see his old model Batwing. The cockpit opened, allowing him to slip inside. As it ascended, he made sure to look the man in the eyes before flying off back to his cave to rest and repair.

>>>>Security terminal.

The cyborg came leaping from the hole after the man with only one of his guns in his right hand, the mans cassock billowed out behind him as he came crashing the ground, the concrete cracking around his boots as he landed in a crouching position before slowly raising to his full height. The cyborg had what was left of his left hand balled into a fist with his handgun aimed at the old plane, but as it rose in the air he lowered his weapon, not because it was to high or out of range, but because there was no longer a point to fight the man, he was leaving which was what the cyborg wanted. Target is fleeing, genocide mode canceled, combat mode ending; switching to Stand by mode... Commencing repairs.., the cyborg turned from the plane as it lifted up and began walking toward the vatican again, a mod of Iscariot priests rushing from down the street to his right, most likely from the sounds of Michels guns.

Continue the vatican repairs, It seems i did more damage than help. I apologize., the Cyborg left the iscariot agents in the street as he vanished back inside.

Edward gazed out at the Vatican as he flew overhead. It was a magnificent site. No place was more peaceful. Soon, the Iscariot Castle came into view on the horizon and before long, Edward landed at the front steps. "Guess I should report in to good ole Maxwell. Father Anderson shouldn't be too far behind me." Edward walked up the front steps with long strides. The guards bowed as he passed. Edward nodded back and continued into the depths of the Castle.

----------------
The metallic thud along with his heavy boots lead the Cybernetic Priest down the steps toward the center square, he made a few other Iscariot agents that were helping with repairs move the large heap of trash he shot down a while ago off to the side so it could be investigated later. The priest's brown eyes had multiple lines of data running across them from his on board computer, the repairs were mostly complete anyway aside from a few piles of rubble that needed to be moved to a dump site, most of the repairs were coming along nicely. The cyborgs heavy steps moved him over toward the large pile of utterly destroyed plane parts that had taken several head on shots from Michel's new handguns, so if there wasn't anything of use to be investigated left then it was mostly his fault. Most of it was utterly destroyed with large holes in it, and the fact that it exploded when it hit the ground into a massive fiery ball of metal didn't help.

The Priest stood before the large pile after making his way across the area, passed the fountain and to the wreck, which was ironically located next to a pile of rubble that would also soon be moved to a dump site. The cyborgs eyes flashed an emerald green color as he looked at the now torn apart plane, Systems most likely fried, on-board computer systems are also most likely gone. May be able to salvage small bits and pieces but likelihood of finding any relevant data: less than 3%., Michel stood there for a moment as he thought, running several ideas through his own on board computer; trying to find out any real way to find some info on what happened to him earlier.

She was tired, though surprisingly bored. All her 'missions' as of late consisted of skimming rooftops and skirting detection; almost all of the targets were simply to be watched, and listened to. Information was needed, but making a scene at the moment would be less than practical. Her hands hadn't seen her rifle in more than two weeks. So here she was, huffing her way back to her home and praying - heavily - for the good Lord to send her someplace...exciting for a spell. Or maybe just her bed. A bed would be nice about now, too.

Her keen eyes suddenly sent her a strange image: there was a crumpled, beaten, torn-to-hell something hanging out on the front steps. In the midst of the 'wreckage' was Father Miles, though this wasn't terribly surprising. Where there was massive damage, there was Michel. A small, weary smile wandered over her lips a she approached the man; hearing his monotone voice somehow made her feel like she was finally home. If Miles was out and about, it meant something was up, and Iscariot was just not Iscariot if all was quiet.

Knowing he could hear her wandering through the wreckage, the red-head halts just behind him, to the left of his tall frame. Gold-rimmed eyes wandering over the mess, the woman clears her throat. "Whut kinda mess 'ave yew created now, Fah'der?"

Father Miles crouched down beside the large pile of debris which would now be considered trash by most people, seeing as how it had taken multiple 20mm rounds who could blame them? The cyborgs gloved hands reached out before his fingers wrapped around looked like a small circuit board, albeit charred and barely resembling what it once was. If one looked close enough a person would be able to see multiple lines running over Michels eyes, the lines of data in which he was reading as he analyzed what he could possibly do with this type of equipment that had been blow to hell and back. Recovery of data ratio: Possibly 2%, though 98% chance of corrupted or destroyed data. Usefulness: low., the cyborg dropped the small piece of computerized equipment before scanning over the rest. It wasn't long before the auditory sensors in his ears picked up the sound of footsteps behind him, he didn't know who it was but it wasn't really something he would need to worry about at the current moment. He continued to look over the messy wreck before him before he turned his head slightly to the left, noticing the familiar red-headed woman he had seen a few times before.

Ah, Sister Meabh, It's good to see you again., the cyborg rose up to his full height and looked back at the wreck, his face void of any type of expression or emotion, his voice monotone and dull. Approximately four hours, 23 minutes, and 8 seconds ago I spotted a strange man who was trespassing on Vatican soil. He claimed to be investigating; I assume investigating the missile strike not long ago. He refused to leave, I took action as my orders told me to. He was rather skilled for a human., Father Miles turned around about a half-step, glancing back at the door at the top of the steps, as if going through the scene piece by piece. The battle lead into the Vatican though he didn't get very far or that deep into the building. The most he did was take out the security systems - which are currently being repaired, though most are back online - before he retreated. This was the plane he had arrived in, it shot rubber bullets. Several minutes into the battle I let off multiple rounds into the machine due to it being an annoyance and brought it down, this is the result. He was picked up soon after by another one; I did not peruse due to my orders keeping me chained to Vatican soil., He stopped speaking as a few beeping sounds escaped from his body, coming from his on-board computer. Report: End.

Lloyd opened the doors to the castle and skipped out while humming in his own little world. He was in a great mood after getting funding from Iscariot and an Agent so Lloyd could further his research into the A267 rounds. However with recent times his project load is building up with people and other agents wanting weapons and not rounds. Particularly swords and what not. Lloyd didn't mind but he thought it was too simple and couldn't occupy his mind long enough like the experimental rounds did. He was walking with his hands behind his head and facing towards the sky without really looking. This would make the probability of him walking into someone rather high. He thought as he walked into a nun and nearly fell on top of her but regained his balance before he did. He was about to say something to girl but his attention was soon on the Cyborg that he worked on as back in his days as a lab assistant. Father Miles? Why now this is interesting I thought for sure they would've decommissioned you after about ten years, appears I was wrong. But you seem like you have been maintained in a while. He said as he began walking around inspecting the cyborgs body.

A solid black car pulled up, and Devin stepped out of the back seat. He stood and looked around the area. It was decently ransacked. There was a large crater, and the wreckage of what appeared to be a small plane. Next to it stood an Iscariot priest who was observing the wreckage, a red haired girl, and Iscariot's very own scientist, Lloyd. He was poking and prodding, examining the Paladin. He was the very same who had provided Devin with his adrenaline shots. Devin had planned on asking what had happened, but he had long since learned that if the scientist got started, he might never stop. He stood there for a second, pondering whether or not to ask them what was happening. Eventually Devin's laziness won out over his desire to avoid the eccentric scientist. He was in no mood to investigate this on his own so he just decided to ask the group what they knew. He strolled over to them, stepping over and around bits of mechanical debris. When he got there he asked "So uh, it looks like missed all the fun. To bad. Would anyone mind filling me in?

Edward opened the front doors and walked out to the steps. He stopped and looked down at the scene. A crashed plane, Michel, Lloyd, and a priest he'd never met before. Edward took long strides down the steps and walked over to the group. He stopped a few inches away from everyone else. "Do I even have to ask, why everyone is looking at a wreck?" He shifted his gaze to Michel. "Long time no see Father Miles. How are the repairs to Roma coming along?" Edward smiled. His glasses shined slightly in the sunlight as the wind blew his cassock around.

----------------------
The cyborg had already turned back to face the pile of scrap metal when he had heard even more footsteps come out of the building. He didn't bother to turn around this time either, he wanted to see if there was anything really usable here, though he HIGHLY doubted this. He tapped the plane with his boot before he recognized the voice of someone familiar, someone he hadn't expected to see...ever again. Ah, Professor Lloyd.., the cyborg spoke before turning around to face him. He didn't move or seem to be bothered in any way by how the scientist was looking over him, seemingly inspecting him.

Negative, if I did then I wouldn't be the first of your projects to be Decommissioned, if I recall correctly... His voice was still monotone, turning away from the Scientist after he noticed a black car pull up, recognizing Devin from the Iscariot files in the databank on his on-board computer. Michel glanced toward the wreck again and thought for a moment, should he really repeat what he just said? A battle happened, I dealt with it as my programming told me to. I will file a report on it later., the cybernetic man's attention was pulled away yet again by Father Edward who had come from the Vatican steps, the last time he had saw him was with Father Anderson before the attack. Positive, Father Edward, good to see you're alive and well., he lifted his gloved hand up and pointed toward the buildings, seeing as how most were coming along nicely with repairs he didn't think he needed to explain it.

The cyborgs eyes suddenly widened a bit as a red line of data ran over his pupil, seeming to be a message that had been sent from Maxwells Office. Message from Arch-bishop Maxwell... The Following operatives are to report to his Office: Father Miles, Sister Meabh, and Father Devin... Message: End. He suddenly began walking toward the vatican steps in long strides after speaking the message outloud so all of them could hear, wanting to see what he was needed for.

((OOC: Thanks for the skip, Mikey. And not a bad post.))

Whilst taking in Father Miles' automated responses, the red-haired woman caught sight of another priest ambling distractedly in their general direction. Turning her attention back to the cyborg, Meabh catches only a peripheral glimpse of the aforementioned priest before he bumbled into her. Dancing around him to keep on her feet, she kept her balance as he regained his own. The incident wasn't an affront to the Irishwoman, but she was curious to know his reason for colliding with her.

Before she could even form the words to voice her question, Meabh was left watching (with no small amount of amusement) as the priest circled Father Miles with great interest. Inwardly smiling to herself, the woman realizes that this situation has given her more entertainment than an entire two weeks of hunting down targets.

As her thoughts bent on the oddity of the scene acted out before her, a sleek sedan eased up to the steps. Her slate grey eyes took in the sight of yet another priest entering their growing circle of strangeness. As he grew closer, her mind shuffled a bit of information about to get a name for the face: Buffington. She had never worked with the man, nor had she even really spoken with him. But his name was buried in a host of other names buried again in layers of files; it would do her no good to work for an organization if she didn't know who she was working with. That reminded her: the other one, he would be a professor of some sort, a scientist. She had certainly never spoken with him, and to be honest, this was the first time she had witnessed his existence in the flesh. However, his name eluded her until Miles 'greeted' him. Filing that tidbit away for whatever future use it might hold, Meabh was about to step into the conversation when yet another priest wandered down the front stairs.

This one she knew. Father McFinn was one of the few priests she had come into frequent contact with, and as far as she could tell, he was quite good at his job - a trait she appreciated greatly. Suddenly her quiet conversation with Father Miles had morphed into a gaggle of Iscariot. Just as she opened her mouth to excuse herself, the cyborg announced a message from Maxwell, and it caused a slight amount of confusion on her part. Nonetheless, with a small nod to each man there, the Irishwoman trailed behind Father Miles as they both trekked to their superior's office.

He felt a small ache as his memories rushed back in for not the first time this month. Hope... Ciaran walked through the gates with his hands in his coat pockets and a slightly blank face. The blades sitting in their sheathes did their best to stay hidden beneath the coat. While his rush of memories were coming back now that the floodgates were open, he remembered a face that seemed to be standig right before him. Ed...Edvard McFinn? OOC: The 3 day skip wait period has been over for a while, so i'll go ahead and make my post.

Edward wasn't surprised at how fast Michel moved when given orders. Devin was still around. So was the Matthew Agent. Not before long, a new addition to their little group presented himself. Edward was just staring at the odd wreckage when he heard his name. His mind snapped back into reality and he turned his head to the left, then turned his body a bit so as to be a bit sideways. "Ciaran?" Ed was a little shocked. No one had seen him in 5 years. Not since that mission gone bad. Edward was Ciaran's senior by 4 years. Ed had helped Father Anderson raise him at the Orphanage until he left on his first mission. He had changed since Edward last saw him. A soft, gentle smile grew on Eds face. He walked over and put his hand on Ciarans shoulder. "Its good to see you again, lad." Ed took his hand off after a minute. He started walking towards the gates and back towards the Orphanage. "Come boy, its been too long. We have things to discuss. Why don't you come and join me at the Orphanage." Ed passed through the gates, and continued on to the Orphanage.

Devin heard the cyborgs bland monotone voice telling him to go to Maxwell's office. The cyborg and the girl disembarked immediately after. Devin took one glance at the wreckage, and the scientist, as well as noticing the new man approaching. Devin saw that the other two were already up the steps, and he didn't want to fall behind, so he decided to leave this situation to the others. He hurried up the steps leaving the wreckage, scientist, and priests behind him, and following after the cyborg.

OOC:sorry about the wait, the '72' hour wait I think it is? (can't be arsed to check right now) is over now... and now I have my internet back. As for the following you Ed, Ciaran hasn't technically rejoined the organisation again, I would assume Enrico would get rather pissed off in the rp if he found out he had some random running missions that he hasn't seen in years.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ciaran grinned openly as Edward resumed things as if Ciaran had gone on a vacation, well, atleast things are good with him... Eyeing up a rather out of place wreckage, Ciaran scratched at his face, Looks rather new... he pondered for awhile, lost in thought. He switched from foot to foot as Ed started to leave, Az mooch az I vould love to stay und chat Ed, my old friend, I need to speak with Enrico...he isn't necessarily aware of my presence, neither vould I think he vould appreciate me not declaring mahself. I'd be sure to talk to you later Ed, if things work out vell with Enrico und I. Waving, Ciaran took his leave and watched with a sense of being left out as Edward walked off to the orphanage. Later... his eyes cast down, Ciaran proceeded up the steps and started to walk towards Maxwell's office.

Maxwell's office-------->>
OOC:short post is short until I get more into character.

Lloyd grew bored with everyone leaving and began to walk back into the Vatican and head back to the labs. He needed to start working on different variations of his serum for his new test subjects when they arrive. He didn’t know how the current serum would work, or how long seeing as he left He would aso have to get the next batch of nano-machines ready for the new batch of regenerators which only about one or two will come out alive out of thirty people. “This is going to be an interesting couple of months.” Lloyd muttered to himself as he walked back inside the Vatican.

<---------------- Limbo

He'd been given this time and address...though the address happened to be the Vatican, seat of all that is Holy in the world. He'd visited once before, but never had he been allowed to walk freely amongst those coming and going; he also never thought he would be walking into the den of men who hunted the abominations of the world, but there is always a first for everything.

He'd also been told to wear his handgun.

Feeling slightly conspicuous, the brown haired man stood at the top of the sweeping stairs, arms loosely crossed as he leaned against a pillar; he hadn't been told who would be giving him the grand tour, though it was implied the priest would certainly be able to spot him.

There was a tingle of excitement in his fingertips, but he hid it well, body language remaining relaxed and his face softly expressionless as he watched the dozens of people mill about around him.

The Front Steps/The Judean Square - Page 3 Empty

Devlin had only woken up two hours ago and had a splitting headache. The night before he had spent quite a bit of time at his favorite Irish pub in Rome. His flash backs to his school days when he resolved to hunt vampires started to become more frequent. He wasn't the one to talk about these kind of things and usually resorts to drinking and boxing. He has a deal with the pub that all of his winnings goes to the Church and he gets his drinks covered by them as well.

He wasn't too happy to be waken up to give a tour of the Vatican to a new recruit. Especially since he tends to be not the greatest person to talk to when suffering from a hangover. He wasn't told a description or even a name. Only thing he was told was to meet the recruit on the steps. He walked through the halls and to the Front Steps. He walked out in his Cassock and putting on his pastoral collar. He scanned the area and looked at all the obvious tourists and it didn't take him too long to notice a person was standing there not taking pictures, or prattling along in awe of the archetecture. Devlin walked up to the side of this man. Looked Italian to him. Devlin had his stoic expression his face.

"You're the new recruit?" Devlin asked looking at while not facing the Italian man.
